I love Home place's pizza! As many times as I've been here, I never seem to get away from their pizza! I ordered an individual pepperoni pizza and a dinner salad with blue cheese dressing (no cukes, no bell peppers, thank you very much) and as sure I wouldn't be able to eat it all. I fooled myself, didn't I... 'cuz I ate it all! And where are my pics? I always take pics! I think I was too hungry and just gobbled it all down without any pics. Oh well. Here's the description instead: the little individual pizza was covered - covered! - in sliced pepperonis. No cheese underneath was even visible. Perfectly baked, edges of the pepperonis just a little bit crispy, crust to die for, great red sauce and Parmesan cheese on the table made it the best pizza in the area. Maybe even in the entire state. I don't know for sure because I haven't been to all the pizza places in Oregon but it would be hard to find a pizza as amazing as Home Place's. The side salad filled the bowl with lettuce, peas, croutons, shredded carrots & red cabbage with the blue cheese dressing I requested on the side. To say this was a lot of food would not be an exaggeration. There are two sides to this restaurant: a regular dining room and a pizza room with a game area for the kids (or young-at-heart adults). We sat in the pizza side this time where a children's birthday party was getting ready to start. The acoustics leave something to be desired in this side of the restaurant and excited children can be loud, even without the lack of acoustics. It's not the most relaxing quiet dinnertime space but listening to kids enjoy themselves can be uplifting in its own way. The restaurant is clean, the servers friendly and patient, the service is quick, the pizzas hot, the drinks plentiful, and I know I'll be back here soon for another pizza fix. read more

Food is always spot on. The pizza was exceptional and I'm impressed with the wings for a pizza place. Good for family get togethers. We came after graduation close to closing time and I called ahead and they were super friendly and said they would be taking orders all the way up to 8:59 this is what stood out for me was the positive attitude and being so accommodating and welcoming. Friendly staff, good menu selection with more than just pizza. They have steak, sandwiches, pasta, chicken, fish, salad, soup, etc. Lots of size options for pizza, but they are all thin crust. Tasty pizza, fun relaxed family atmosphere, some of the most kind wait staff! What more could a baseball family ask for. I felt like I was back in my childhood, getting pizza after a scorching hot baseball game. Which, is what we were doing, but my son just finished his game! We got a small Pig & Pine, then separately (after more people told us they were joining) grabbed a Garlic Chicken. The confusion of our double order wasn't questioned and the staff was on it! Ultimately our weird ordering style didn't even cause a delay in the second pizza. Both pizzas were delicious and we did not hold back, everyone ate, enjoyed the feel and nostalgia of the environment while we recapped the game, and caught up. The second half of our party also stopped on the way out to game 2. They got a cheese pizza, and Full House! Which of course I had to try. All 4 pizzas (including the to go) had crispy crust bottoms, a perfect blend of sauce, toppings, and cheese, and had all of us raving about how good the pizza was. I've was working in Mount Angel and came here for breakfast and was just confused as to where to sit started going upstairs to check it out. There was no close sign and when we came back down when we noticed it was dark the nasty lady said "what are they doing up there? That's very closed you guys" we weren't doing anything. We really had no idea where to go and another service worker there watch just go upstairs didn't say a word so you guys are rude. I would never go there and I will definitely tell everybody to stay away. read more

Good food, came in on a Sunday for breakfast. It was busy, but they were pretty fast. We decided that we wanted everything, so each had an individual pizza and another entree. I had the Greek pizza, which was delicious and the veggie omelette. The omelette was pretty good, could have used some more cheese. Hubs had the Fireman's Special pizza and loved it and also the Reuben sandwich which he also loved, lots of meat and good Cajun tator tots. read more

Have eaten pizza from there for years. Always very good. Last two times, pizza to go, ordered the same pizza, and it was so bad, we could not finish it. Have heard, unverified, that HP either sold, changed the pizza dough recipe, or both. Again, not verified. Won't be ordering pizza from there again. Had a nice lunch for four after spending time at the Oregon Garden. The restaurant is quaint and spacious, the staff are very attentive and polite. We all had different burgers, all were great! Here is the issue, I ordered a pizza and asked my son to pick it up and I would pay him back. Like many teenagers they pay with Apple Cash. However he couldn't pay for it because they don't take it. I tried to pay over the phone and was told by the manager, "we don't do that". Well I tried and got denied. A pizza place that doesn't take payment over the phone???? Are we also expected to pay with gold dust measured on a triple beam balance? The sad part is I have paid many times over the phone, not very recently but many times. Apparently if you order a pizza here, you better be the one picking it up. Soon I guess they will be asking for ID to verify who is picking it up. This was a situation where the manager could have worked with me as we live 6 miles from the home place but no, just "we don't do that". have eaten here since 2016. Until tonight, I have been generally happy with the meal, service and atmosphere. I always get the "charbroiled chicken salad." In the past the chicken has been flavorful, moist and hot. Tonight, it was cold, dry, and bitter! I asked to see the manager, he offered lame lip service, and while I wasn't looking for a "comped" meal, a sincere apology would have been really appreciated, but wasn't forthcoming. Met my dad for lunch here as our normal place was closed. We have driven by the restaurant many times, but had never stopped in. The restaurant is divided into two sections with one side being a pizza place and the other side (where we dined) being more of a diner. The service was excellent, checking back on us at regular intervals but not to the point of annoyance. The food was good and the portions were quite ample. I've been coming to this restaurant for 30 years, always been happy and satisfied. The service yesterday was great but the food was HORRIBLE, maybe a new cook who doesn't care! Had eggs Benedict, absolutely horrible, ham was on side of the muffin, not Canadian bacon. Egg was on the other side, nothing matched up. Muffins were not even toasted. I ordered 2 large pizzas for my teens, one cheese one pepperoni sausage, 49.00 got home and the cheese was a small, maybe a child's size. So I called the manger to explain what happened and said I don't want any money returned, just stay on top of this. He yelled and called me a liar. Don't post reviews, don't eat garbage fast food style restaurants like this. But thought it was a sad sign of the times. Must be a lot of scammers in Silverton, shouldn't treat honest people this way. Trashy low rent small town establishment, I should have expected this. Do better people. read more

At 62 years old I have tried many pizza's. This place has the best tasting pizza I have ever had. The sauce has great flavor, the crust wasn't soggy and tasted really good. They did not skimp on the cheese and toppings. My grandkids were even amazed, and they are usually very picky. While eating I noticed the pizzas were flying out the door. We were in Oregon for a wedding this weekend and our hotel gave vouchers to the Denny's next door for a complimentary breakfast. We went there the first day, but decided to venture out for a new experience. The Home Place was the perfect breakfast place. There are some pics of menus here that I wanted to mention were old. For instance I split a cinnamon roll that I could have happily not split. Only because I would have happily eaten the whole thing! And I recommend it highly! The Cinnamon Roll is $3.25 and worth every cent! (The menu here says $2.50). My mother in law ordered biscuits and gravy and I had to take a picture of them. I am not sure the photo does them justice. They were huge! Cathleen was our server and I am not sure how we got so fortunate with all the good service this weekend (an Oregon thing perhaps?) but she was amazing and very friendly and efficient. I was driving by the Home Place family restaurant today and I wanted a sausage dog. I didn't think they had that on their menu and sure enough they didn't but that's what my wife and I felt like eating and they said "sure, we can do that!" And it was pretty dare good too; made with polish sausage. Besides that, they have this really cool old wagon full of flowers out front that just made my day as well. read more
