I came here about 5 years ago when our transmission went out between El Paso and Houston. We ordered the steak fingers, and even though it tasted fine my wife and I got sick afterwards. Tonight my wife and I were on that same trip heading back to Houston, and decided to give it another chance. After ordering the steak fingers i realized they didn't give us any gravy, apparently they had run out and didn't bother telling us when we ordered . Driving thru Ozona Texas I stopped to eat at what turned out to be the nastiest Dairy Queen I have ever been in during my 42 years. The store was nasty we were there 30+ min and not one person cleaned a table the customers were doing it. The bathrooms were 100% out of paper. No paper towels or other stuff at counter. I got a baby wipe from another customer to clean my table. What turned out to be the "Manager" Cynthia and another employee was cooking with out anything covering their long hair. My order was not correct. When I complained to manager "Cynthia" she told to "deal with it they were busy" and then told her counter person to give me my money back "so I can leave her store". I got my money back and left. This place is a Heath Code Disaster don't eat there! I wish I could give it a negative number. read more

We had the misfortune to arrive when the staff was changing shifts at 4 p.m...and it didn't go smoothly. We ordered two smoothies and paid--otherwise I would have walked out. The staff didn't make eye contact with the patrons at the counter, and it took us about 10 minutes (at least) to get our smoothies once we'd ordered. Staff is TERRIBLE. They do not know what they are doing. We received 1/3 items from our order correctly. When we went back to correct this mistake, the manager did not understand what we were even talking about. My boyfriend went in first, and they did not understand their mistake; I then proceeded to go in and tell them what was wrong. The manager LAUGHED and walked to the kitchen LAUGHING at me? At herself? At the food? I do not know, but terrible, terrible service and incompetent staff. I understand there can be mistakes and that is completely understandable--but do NOT laugh at your customers! I am now not even going to eat my meal because I am afraid they have tampered with it. Worst burger ever! Our burgers were cold and cheese was not even melted. I asked for toasted buns and the buns were not toasted at all. Surprised and impressed! After the reviews I was worried, but the choice was DQ or Sonic and the Sonic reviews were much worse. Have to say I was actually pretty impressed with this DQ. I went inside to go to the bathroom and then we decided to go through the drive thru since the inside was so crazy busy. This was hands down the FASTEST drive thru experience we've ever had at any DQ. Our burgers were fresh and well put together, fries were hot and perfectly cooked. Stopped in off I10 fo a quick order of fries. Only a couple people sitting in booths. The staff were friendly enough IF you can ever get someone's attention to take your order! I only wanted an order of fries. When someone finally took my order it took forever to get the 1 order of fries. My fries sat on the back counter for 10 minutes. No one around to bring my order to me. Another lady customer waiting at counter for someone to take her order and no wait staff in site. People back in kitchen area preparing food but no wait staff in sight. Finally someone comes in and takes the ladies order. While driving through Texas we decided to stop for a bite to eat at diary queen. Service was slow, no ice in the ice machine and cheese was old and moldy. There are a ton of teenagers standing around doing nothing. Trash on tables and flies everywhere. We ordered dessert after our inedible meal. I asked the cashier what was in the Georgia mud ice cream. She says "I don't know, I have to check". And then just stood there. I had to ask her to go check. She then gave us attitude. Where to begin with this place there are so many deficits with my.dining experience at this place. First.of all the place was horridly dirty every single table needed to be cleaned and bused with food.and paper all over the floors. The manager or shift lead set at a table across.from.us on the cell phone with her feet up as she chatted with other employees eating and carrying on like there was nothing else left to do. The .was very poorly prepared and the burgers were pre made and put into a microwave to be warmed up before they were but on trays to be ran to tables. The fries.were.soggy limp and greasy and lukewarm. My burger was beyond dry and the burger patty itself was dry and had more craters.in it then the surface of the moon. I also had tacos and they were ehhh. To think being so close.to Mexico there hard shell tacos should and would have been better then this those too were also microwaved I saw the guy.put the shells and some.one wrapped burger with lettuce and tomatoes in it before I left. The best thing was the blizzard and I had to wait for 10 minutes to get that as the same manager kept passing my by and complaining to other workers about waiting for her brother to bring her clothes and furniture for another place in Texas. The girl taking orders at the counter was apparently new (at least that is what she said), however, she kept walking to the dining area to visit with someone she knew and talk on her cell phone. The girl wearing the drive thru headset was extremely unhelpful & discourteous. My mom notified her that there wasn't any diet coke in the soda fountain and she literally just stated at her for a few seconds and then walked away. Apparently, she was also responsible for bringing orders to the table. When she brought ours, I let her know she was missing a couple of items. She said, "well, were you charged for them?" I told her I didn't know as I didn't look at the receipt, but I knew what was ordered & this was not correct. She then walked away. My mom dug the receipt out and went up to the counter. Apparently, the new girl didn't charge us for the missing items. After we paid our $1.36, we were able to get the rest of our order (ok, fine, but at least apologize for the error). My mom then again said something about the diet coke being out & the new girl asked the girl wearing the headset about how to get it changed. The headset girl said, "we're unloading a truck do we can't change anything." As a side note there was no delivery truck in the lot when we pulled in or left. I would associate the names with the employees, however, the only employee in the whole place wearing a name tag was the lady doing all the cleaning (her name was Anna) & she was doing a great job. They hand us two kid meals and a burger that were just sitting there for 45 minutes. When they handed us the food and they still didn't have any manners after we told them thank you politely. After going up there a second time they still managed to get our order wrong. Eventually we got fed up with the place and left. We didn't enjoy the food or our stop at all. Pleasantly surprised after reading all the bad reviews. The place was packed on a holiday weekend, and the service was quick and friendly. Food was good (forgot how much I liked the tacos) and fresh, and they even turned the blizzard upside down!
