My husband ordered the bbq plate and it looked like something they served in heaven. It came with an apple cobbler. The cinnamon and nutmeg were so fragrant. And it melted in your mouth. What I liked about it was it was not too sweet. Perfect. His bbq plate looked delicious. The chicken thigh had a nice color, and great texture from the black pepper. It came with sausage and brisket, beans, and a jalapeño! Insanely good. I am so glad we stopped to eat here. I ordered a club with fries. They really underpromised and over delivered. I was expected a slice of deli meat but no, I was wrong. It was chopped chicken??? Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and perfectly buttered bread. And a lot of meat! You HAVE TO stop and eat here.

It was cooked perfectly, delicious, served with french fries (I got cole slaw instead, it was good), a small side salad that had a great mixture of vegetables with ranch dressing, and a delicious dessert, all for $20 + tax. The ice tea was pretty much perfect. They have a good water filtration system so great water, great tea. Really enjoyed the home feeling and welcoming there.

Though small and quiet, this little grill puts out really good food. My daughter kept it simple with a dry cheeseburger. It comes with a side of fries that are cooked fresh, but maybe needed some time to breathe or dash a little bit of salt. The burger was cooked really well though. Noah enjoyed his carne asada tacos. Liz ordered the Potosino nachos, which were like a loaded nachos. Loaded means it came with beans, grill d tomato and jalapeno, thin slices of skirt steak, and cheese. It looked good, and I grabbed a few at the begining. I really enjoyed my Potosino plate. It was the same thing slices of skirt steak, grilled onion, jalapeno, and tomato that was on the nachos, but my plate came with Spanish and refried beans. (Same as Noah's kid taco plate). So, why the 3? It's a small place, and the dining area can be overwhelmed by a rush. Though the folks that knew were just getting food to go. There's about 7 tables/booths for 4 each, and it got crowded right after we sat down and ordered. Hey, if I can't get my coffee refilled without asking, well... Overall, I did enjoy the food. The place was clean and comfortable. It was the lack of speedy service was on no way a deal killer, but when you're on the EP to SA road trip time management can matter. Check it out if you're stopping in Ozona.

The reason it missed the 5-star mark with me was our waitress was slow to do everything. Even with taking our drink order. Then our food order. The worst was waiting for my final bill. And then she forgot our takeout box for my youngest. I don't know why she didn't have a greater sense of responsiveness with our party of 3, but it was like this the entire duration of our meal on July 25, 2026. It was super frustrating! The other reason I knocked off a star off was because the towel dispenser was depleted in the lone restroom. I had to flag down an employee with drenched hands. THE PROS I called about 20 minutes ahead of time to reserve a table because I knew this brassiere was on the small side. The lady on the phone was courteous and professional. If you have a hot date, I highly recommend reservations particularly in the evening. This seems like that sort of place. When we arrived, I found free street parking a short walk away. We were promptly greeted and seated. To enter the restaurant, you must go inside the Frost Bank tower's lobby, but to exit there is a door just beyond the bar. This place has beautiful, eclectic decor. The bar area was somewhat rounded and has an easygoing, but classy feel to it. THE FOOD The ambiance is what made this a great mother/daughters brunch date. The food sets it apart from the majority of restaurants in this oil industry town. The have East Coast-sourced oysters on the menu! These are far superior to their West Coast counterparts. I would have opted for these for our app if it weren't for my minions, I mean children. Pigs in a Blanket ($15.00) - yet another appetizer my daughters pigged out on that I didn't get to try. And they said they weren't that hungry! Lies all lies. They looked divine with nicely cooked juicy sausage and everything seasoning on the pastries. Avo Toast ($11.50) - my newly-turned teen daughter and I both had our own. I opted for eggs over easy which were cooked nicely. She oddly chose scrambled eggs for her, but she ate pretty much all of it. Smashed Burger ($17) - my youngest had this and said it was excellent. Nice touch with an American flag planted into the top bun. For the umpteenth time she did not share a fry with me. It is what it is. Mocha latte ($5.00) - my youngest's birthday which I will be missing since she'll be visiting her father is coming up so this was a treat for her. I tried it. Quite good after being thoroughly stirred. 1988 Martini ($18) - pricey but oh so good. The olives stuffed with bleu cheese were not bad. I had to try it even though the thought of bleu cheese kind of turned me off. Lol. Will I return? Of course because I have faith it will be 5 stars next time. Look at the other raving reviews! The young lady read the menu to us over the phone with such care & time. We settled for a cheeseburger and grilled chicken salad and substituted in cucumbers instead of boiled eggs (need to learn to like them, more protein). We got there after 7:30 and she was so sweet and asked if just driving through town and asked how we found them. I said yelp! We drove to a nearby park to eat and it was so pleasant under the canopy shaded and clean picnic table. Families and kids out and about just enjoying the cool, breezy summer evening as we enjoyed our flavorful meals! My husband ate his cheeseburger before I could take a photo but it looked delish, what I could see of it.
