Came here for a late lunch on the way back from west TX and I have to say was very happy this was the DQ I decided to stop at. 30 minute wait and we only had two orders before ours. The people waiting that ordered behind us said the staff was just playing around when he went to check on his order. Great people with hot and fresh food! Not sure why fast food gets low ratings. These people in here were super friendly and the food was really great. We both got the number 10 combo with the DUDE. so hungry we forgot to take pictures. This is a major holiday so we were expecting slow work, but they were speedy quick. There were several cars here when we arrived. We were a later part of the lunch crowd. The inside of the restaurant and restroom were clean. This is an older location, but it looked great. This may be the first review I've ever left where I mention, "if I could leave zero stars, I would." To start, the guy at the cash register was rude. He also was coughing into his hand and sounded sick. To add to this, when he picked up our cups to put ice in, he stuck his fingers in the cups to carry all 3. The same hand he just coughed into. He was very short when I pointed this out and asked for new cups. To add, it took 25 minutes to get our food (awesome when you have a 3 year old and 6 month old with you). We really wanted ice cream, but our experience was so poor that we went to a different establishment just for ice cream. I've probably been to 50+ Dairy Queen's in my life, and this is the only negative experience I can ever recall. After reading the other reviews here, it's pretty disappointing that the establishment is so poorly managed. Should be closed down. read more

Out of the scary amount of DQs I've been to, this one was the only one I've been to that gypped you on the amount of ice cream in the blizzards. The ice cream only came to about an inch down from the top of the cup. I've never seen that before. The consistency was good and the amount of candy was OK. But for some reason it really bothered me that they did not fill it up as much as the normal Dairy Queen serving sizes. read more

I hate to talk bad about any business, But the burgers were Not Cooked all the way and soggy, Looked and smelled like Wet Dog! I ate about 1/3 rd of the burger and threw it in the trash! I decided to try and give them a new chance since they are reopening with new staff etc after being closed for a bit. I walk in and absolutely no acknowledgment that I was standing at the counter for 8 mins. Another couple said they had been waiting over 30 mins. I finally walked out decided to try drive thru. Waited 23 mins before being waited on for an ice cream cone and mini blizzard. Got my receipt after paying and was charged double. Absolutely horrible! Let me note this is our second time to visit this Dairy Queen when in this town. First time we did drive through, customer service was horrible And he acted like we were an inconvenience For coming later in the evening. Tried it again tonight! They were almost mad our family of 5 walked in 45 mins before closing. They rolled their eyes as we ordered, ice cream was not good almost too frozen and not the normal milky taste. My husband got this brownie thing and it was premade and frozen no telling how many days it had been in freezer. He took a bite and threw it away. The inside of DQ was dirty and not clean Also. We won't be back!!! This was 2 strikes and we are out. I feel like there should have been a manager there on a Saturday night. The drive through had about 8 cars backed up. This is quite honestly the worst dairy Queen I've even been to in Texas. The staff is extremely rude and treat you with silence and get annoyed when you ask them questions. They'll make you wait at the register for 5 minutes before they even walk up and help you. The restrooms have no soap and the store is a general is dirty. I wouldn't recommend stopping by when you're traveling. I do wanna give a shout-out to DESERAY, she was the nicest shift leader there and was working around the clock to get things done. Rosie P. & Jessica were some of the rudest people we encountered. The both of them refused to ring people up for 10 minutes, sat in the kitchen, were on their phone, and gave people the silent treatment when being asked a question. read more

Worst service I've ever received at a DQ. First time for me to write up a review, it was that bad. 15 minutes waiting in the drive thru line. The truck ahead had a very large order and they kept him at the window while a queue of cars built up. Window attendant and others were talking a lot to the truck, so I think they were all friends. We ordered two dipped cones, when we got to the window he said the machine was down. I told him that at most DQs, they have vehicles pull around so they can keep the flow going through the drive thru. Smarmy kid says "I'm sorry you had to wait, but don't tell me what to do!" I was pretty stunned. He offered free ice cream bars for the wait and hassle. We took him up on the offer, he returned with the ice cream and told us our bill. I said I thought it was free. "No, I meant to say we won't charge you extra, we'll just charge you for the cones". Awful customer service. I'm a small business owner and always want feedback to improve. The kid said they don't have a drive thru protocol at their DQ, I find that hard to believe. I called DQ the next day to get in touch with the owner to provide helpful feedback. The number they gave me went to a corporate business voicemail, so it doesn't look to be owned by a local franchisee. No response to the voicemail, no surprise. And no surprise that this DQ is getting consistently poor reviews. Takeway: I recommend you keep driving and go to the DQ at the next town. And if DQ headquarters reads this review, you might want to audit this restaurant as it reflects very poorly on your brand. read more

I'm completing this survey so the staff on that Sunday afternoon at this location gets recognition. Rocky was so patient taking our order. His body language & people skills need to be applauded. He walked our order to us. He made the Blizzards perfectly. I watched him interact with other customers. He is such an asset to this location. I was so impressed that I had to ask him his name to tell him I'd be doing a review on him. Hearing my compliment just brightened his face even more. The other 3 ladies were polite too. Rocky however just stood out for his people skills. The bathroom was large and clean and modern. The interior of the restaurant was clean and modern. The food was tasty. I've never been to a DQ this bad. The lemonade and tea are all concentrate. When I told the shift manager that they were undrinkable, she pointed to a container and told me to add water to them if I wanted to. Other people have complained as we finished our food but it's not being corrected. Salt and pepper shakers on only a few tables and they are sticky. Big stacks of boxes on the counter near customers rather than put away. It's obvious that this place is extremely poorly run. read more
