May I suggest fried pickles for appetizers here. Then the kinfolk burger, which is pulled pork, bacon, hamburger meat, jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The flavor was great, no mustard no mayonnaise needed. We were in a large party and upon ordering one thing that's not on the menu, but you can get, is a chicken fried chicken with or without gravy, for the lactose intolerant. This is kind of a divey place that you wouldn't think would be good and you would be wrong! It's a clean restaurant bar with lovely wait staff. I'm sure on a Friday or Saturday night, this place would be hopping but at 2 pm on a week day, we were the only lunch patrons. Peaches ordered the Gringa Plate which was a quesadilla stuffed with tender, well seasoned steak, and delicious Al Pastor. It came with whole beans that were delicious and Mexican rice. He loved his meal. I ordered the birria tacos and was so pleased! Birria tacos are basically a corn quesadilla stuffed with stewed shredded beef that you dunk into the Chile flavored broth in which the meat was cooked. Key to this is having the tacos and the broth screaming hot. It was so hot and delicious! Again, I loved the beans! first off, the food here isn't bad at all. the chips and queso are really good, as well as the quesadillas and street tacos. the sweet tea was fantastic and tasted homemade. the service on the other hand is absolutely abysmal. i generally cut wait staff quite a bit of slack as i know it's a difficult job and customers suck sometimes. but our waitress... idek man. she made us randomly switch tables even though we were the only ones in the restaurant at like 3 on a Sunday because she said it gets really crowded around lunch time. kinda weird but ok whatever. then she made us wait for a weirdly long time before even taking our order, even though as i said we were the only ones there. the food came in a reasonable amount of time and like I said it was decent, although a little on the salty end. the whole time it felt like she was purposefully ignoring us and couldn't wait for us to leave...? like glaring daggers from across the room. so yeah, not bad if you're really hungry and don't mind a slightly unsettling experience. read more

If you get the mango marg ask for tajin & chamoy! The place was clean and the people were nice. We were greeted warmly and I ran to the ultra-clean restroom- (which is a huge plus for me).My hubs got Birrias- which were (3) Mexican-type fried tacos with cheese, and came with a side of rice and a bowl of beans (he says he was pleasant surprised they weren't refried). Stop into this welcoming restaurant for a bite to eat while we waited for the mechanic shop to open up down the street.. customer serves was amazing after dealing with car issues it was refreshing for someone to treat us like humans.. vary nice people here and their food was amazing.. we had the Pancake breakfast.. potato's we're mouth watering and cooked perfectly hot link was flavorful and their pancakes were the best we ever had. We visited Kinfolks Grill because another place was closed. Based on reviews, we gave it a shot and were not disappointed. We were greeted promptly. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. The restaurant has nice spacing throughout, and it's clean. They even decorated for Halloween . The West Texas Burger and onion rings are must-have!! Seriously, this is the best restaurant item I've had this weekend. Their sauce is yum too. The quesadilla tacos have a great flavor, and so does the rice. Fries and onion rings are crispy. If we make another trip this side of Texas, we'll definitely stop in again! read more

My husband had the grilled pork chop with egg whites, toast and delicious small cubed hash browns, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Each bite was perfect. I had the eggs and pancake breakfast and it was one of the best pancakes I've had. Just the right thickness with a delicious flavor.
