Much needed review for my local Daiso in Gardena! I stop by often so it's about time. Their press-on nails are surprisingly decent for the price, however a tad flimsy. Make sure to grab two sets since the sets currently in stock only contain one nail of per size. I don't live by this anymore but have gone in a few times in 2-3 months past. It's actually not bad now-meaning they still get a good selection of items but you have to jump on it or it's gone. This is a family owned company with so many great items at a low price. You will find items for your garden, car, kitchen, makeup, storage and travel items. I was looking to the vacuum bags and they had them at an affordable price. There are employees walking around the store to help with any questions you have. The cashier is friendly and fast. Let me just start by saying Daiso is such a cool find in LA. The first time I ever went, I could not believe how inexpensive everything was! They carry all the cute characters like Sanrio, BT21, Toki Doki, and so many other cute characters. Most items you'll find range in prices from $1.75 up to $15.25. Most of the items I buy are $1.75, $2.25 and $3.25. Be careful though because even though everything seems really inexpensive, once you keep adding stuff in your shopping cart and by the time you get to the register, everything adds up pretty quickly. It's totally worth it though. I love going here and finding all the cool stuff. My favorite is Toki Doki. I have found some really amazing stuff here. My favorite is the magnetic bookmarks, stickers and stationary section, I'm a sucker for this stuff. Wish we had this on the East coast! read more

The service is not great. Their planning of how the customers wait in-line is very different from the signs in the store. Doesn't make a sense whatsoever. Their signage of the price changes is only at the register and now highly over priced on some items. Be very careful of you could've paying more by buying it at Daiso instead of for example Tokyo Central down the street. The selection of products from good to junk and now for the base price starting at $2.25 it is not worth it as it used to be. read more

This place has gotten a little bit better as far as customer service and stock availability. When this store opened years ago, it had terrible service but I guess they have gotten rid of the bad apples. Hopefully they'll keep it that way. They have a lot of items and selections. This location is super clean and huge! They also offer Threppy store items (I'm guessing sister store of Daiso). I've known Daiso in US since the price was $1.50, but now it's $2.25. These price charts are available pretty much every aisle, so it's easy to reference whenever you need it. One cashier's service wasn't friendly (poker face, no greetings, no eye contacts, etc). I walked into Daiso today and saw that it had been remodeled. It was very spacious and neatly organized. Unfortunately, the little boxes that used to be on the left as you enter the store were nowhere to be found. They were sturdy and came in varying sizes and prints. Not finding the boxes, I went up and down the aisles looking for something to buy. There were posted signs everywhere noting that everything was $1.50, unless otherwise noted. There were a few food items like ramen and curry which were priced above $1.50 and could be found elsewhere for less. No real bargains in my opinion. This one is huge! I know there are a few larger ones nearby but I love this one. It's interesting to me how each location has different stuff, which this is no exception. I mostly come here to pick through the electronics aisle and that's what I did! I found what I was loosely searching for too, which was an SD card case, I found a clear watch band I liked. Finally I got a bag of white truffle Calbee chips. Omg! They're soooo good. They seem to be made in CA (if you're concerned about import items only) but they're good yep. I want more. Organized check out a. roped off in direction of cashiers b. lots of snacks and eating items located along the way to cashier 4. conversion price list posted on the start and end of EACH row 5. We love Daiso! It's a Japanese version of the 99 Cents store but better! Prices range from $1.00 - $20.00 (I think) truthfully I never seen anything over $15.00... watch your shopping cart though, because it's easy to overspend! The good: I got a kawaii ruler here as well as two cold Japanese fruit sodas. I love perusing this store because there are so many cool gadgets. Today, I saw stroller clips to help keep blankets from falling. They also had a lot of Halloween seasonal decor and products like masks, headbands, bowls, plates, statues and figurines. They sell BTS merch like cable clips. They have rubber slippers for under $5. This store is quite large. It's great to come here for inexpensive kids' gifts and crafts. Definitely pay attention to the price points, things can be a bit confusing. They do have signs with the price configurations but it's still confusing. I went for items for wine tasting. They have nice glasses & flutes, both glass and plastic. The glass ones had this iridescent shine, & the plastic ones were heavy duty definitely can see them lasting if they get dropped. I settled for the plastic. They had so much other stuff, I got some cards and envelopes. They had nice boards from charcuterie possibly. I love Daiso I think my entire house is from Daiso at this point. It's cheap and endorses cute things for crafts and cozy hobbies.

Prices seem cheap but they're pretty pricey for what you're getting. It's still a fun store.

It's one of those stores I never leave empty handed. (Not yet, at least!) It's pretty much the same setup as most other Daiso stores I've been to. It's also very clean and organized. All aisles were labeled clearly and properly. I found everything I needed with ease. I came through during a non-peak hour so there was no wait nor were there any lines, but due to the pandemic, they are limiting the number of customers they let in when a crowd comes through during the afternoons and weekends. Went in to buy some things, prices are not accurate on their products. If something says 500yen, the price at checkout is actually more than double in USD, why are they using yen as a price on the item and then charging something completely different based on their chart, but yet the product says the price in yen. It's almost like trying to deceive you because the price is not a correct conversion of what's listed on the product, just put the USD on the item instead. read more

We love Daiso! For stationary, pens, masks, school supplies, art supplies, etc, Daiso can't be beat. We shop here for little gifts because they have such adorable gift supplies as well. I really can't describe this little gem. You have to walk in to understand. They have a vast selection of goods from Japan including food items, to try. Chopsticks, baking goods, and even bento boxes can be found here at such cheap prices. I recently purchased little bags for my business that matches a full set of thank you cards. This is the biggest Daiso I've even been to. Very organized, neat and clean. Staff is very polite. If you come here without a shopping list be ready to spend more time at the store than you planned. Very useful things you find that are worth a little more if you buy at another store. I enjoyed my time here even if it's a little drive it's worth it. This is one of the largest Daiso I've ever been to. Most of the Daiso shops are small in strip malls. This Daiso however seems to have taken over a supermarket size space. Be sure to bring a jacket as they do have their air conditioning on blast. The items are all organized into their respective sections. You can find lots of gift Bags along the wall when you first enter the store. This is definitely one of the largest selection compared to any other I have seen of the gift bags. Their food section however slightly smaller but they do have drinks and snacks near the checkout. It seems to me they have a quite a selection of Sanrio hello kitty and friends stuff. I thought I didn't get my item but called and the manager went back on the security system and compared it with our receipt and confirmed I am a dummy lol since I did get all I paid for. Customer Service is horrible. A cashier by the name of Jo----n, has the most dissapointing customer service skill of any person taking my money that i e ever experienced. She told me it was 9:02pm as i was checkingbour with two children under the age of 10 yrs. at my side and proceeded to tell me that i was not being respectful of her time as i unloaded my kids baskets. This was my first time in Daiso so I totally walked the entire store. COVID-19 - there was a small wait to enter but that's always to be expected these days. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance/exit for your use. Once inside, there weren't too much enforced but it's a big ass store so there's no need to be in anyone else's space. I don't remember seeing social distance signs in the line to pay but at this point, I'll always need at least 6 feet LOL Daiso reminds me of a 99 cent store. Just meaning they have everything and at a fraction of the cost. Of course, the quality is a bit better but they have it all. I'll definitely be going in there again. They have A5 planner items which is what I went for and they have really cute planner stickers n such. I'm a planner gal so I was extremely happy with what I saw. Amazed by the range of household products. Staff are nice, store is clean & has a positive vibe.

For the higher priced items, no exchange and no return policy can be quite annoying sometimes unless one intends to use them as throwaway after a few use. You would think the higher price ensures the quality but I found that quite the opposite with this store. So buyers beware!! Don't be fooled by how thick the plastic looked on that wash/drain basin ($4), it cracks so easy because it is made of acrylic. Something like that is better made non-brittle plastics with polycarbonate. Over the years, I've bought many non-regular items that ended up broken after one or two use. In this day and age, who still has this no return/no exchange policy? Your products are not all dollar fifty anymore and they are far far from being indestructible. Located off Artesia Bl in Gardena in the shopping plaza shared parking with all the other businesses. I've been here a couple of times but I never checked in or wrote a review before shame on me. Before covid during the weekends this plaza was jammed packed took a long time to get parking cause cars kept coming in so it was all luck. Now during covid the parking is not as bad at all because not all businesses are opened or not opened at the same times. This was the second Daiso in the South Bay but I believe the first biggest one and still maybe the biggest among the ones I've been in. There are plenty of aisles to cover and there still is a lot of space. Check out is in one area with one line. It seemed pretty organized. They do keep the limit of shoppers so as one comes out one goes in. Not sure if this only on the weekends since I haven't been during the week. I came for one of those cool towels but they were out. Overall I like Daiso they have all kinds of things some that are very useful and well made for a cheap priced store. I'll be back again. read more
