I went yesterday to look for anniversary gifts, headed straight towards the tech department, and was greeted warmly by a man named Luis who serves in the tech department. He was super sweet and gave me his input as to the best quality items on the floor, price and color checking. I kindly asked him for his opinion which helped guide my shopping experience! It's very rare that you see workers sincerely caring about the customers In any retail store or business, I felt cared for, valued and respected, as he didn't push me to purchase anything too expensive and gave me good insight. I ended up purchasing a dash cam, we both concluded that as much as gaming equipment may be a good gift, keeping my boyfriend safe with backed up footage in case of an accident is much more important then in the moment fun, we're talking about proof, if he or someone else crashes. Im sure my boyfriend will value this gift If anyone stumbles upon Luis, i beg that you are respectful, sweet, and kind, some workers are greatly undervalued and treated unfairly when they too are people with great intentions. FIRST TIME HERE NEW TO THE AREA!!! Horrible female asset protection worker, I walk in and she immediately starts following me around the store. When I call her out on it she gets shocked and scrambles for words saying "oh I'm just standing here" I spoke to the manager which helped me through my entire shopping process and when I'm going to self check out the asset protection worker comes up to me again and starts looking at everything I'm scanning. I stop immediately turn around and look for the manager again, at this point I'm walking around furiously when I speak to the manger, the manger apologizes and pulls the APW aside then I speak to a guest service worker, super down to earth and he tells me that the asset protection worker is like that and has had multiple complaints from other customers. He offered to put all my stuff back because I no longer felt comfortable shopping and didn't feel welcomed as a customer, will never shop at this target again! Don't do drive up. Maybe don't even shop here cause it is twice now that they recycled visibly used products to me. Last drive up: ordered an expensive dinosaur toy. I showed my son, still parked, and he noticed a dried playdoh in the toy's mouth, multiple indents on the toy's head, ties holding the dinosaur were loose and the box was previously opened but taped shut. What turned out to be a quick pick up was me and my son having to go inside - grab the correct toy from the toy section (mind you, there were new dinosaurs of the same item perfectly stocked on the shelf) then head over to the returns and exchange line which was long due to some Pokémon card release. And on top of that which should have been a clean swap, the cashier expected me to pay the difference. I said no and asked to speak to the manager. The manager questioned me on my drive up - pick up time and after me explaining that I JUST picked this up at drive up she couldn't believe it herself. I showed her the drive up sticker on the box that had my last name and pick up time, literally 10 mins apart. She stated that no scans were necessary and an even swap was all that was needed. This was all such an inconvenience. Visibly damaged items that have been returned should never be given to another paying customer. Cause now I'm not even going to spend my hard earned money at Target, unless I am gifted a gift card. 1st time this happened last year, I bought a revlon blow out tool - someone's brown/blonde hair was still wrapped around it. This location has a bigger store with groceries. The day after Christmas, the store is a bit picked over. There are a few bargains for after Christmas sales. Conveniently located near the South Bay Pavilion Mall. Service and selections are great. Lots of checkout aisles. read more

I needed something from the skin care isle but realized it was locked up. They have these little red things where you can put your hand under the sensor and it's supposed to alert staff that you need assistance. I did this not once, but three times. Not one staff member came by to assist me. I waited a while with no help. Ended up not getting what I needed. If you're going to have merchandise locked away, there should be someone nearby. I shouldn't have to hunt someone down. You're locking items up to prevent theft, yea that's understandable... but what you're actually creating is an inconvenience. Perfect way to lose customers. This has to be one of the biggest Targets I have been to. The layout is similar to other Targets (self checkout, multiple checkout lanes, Customer Service, etc). What amazed me was the large plant area. I mean fresh potted plants and flowers. They were not too overpriced. I did buy myself a plant trellis which they do not sell in the Bay Area. I happen to be in this neighborhood to pick up some supplies for my home, and decided to go into this target. It's the most well stocked cleanest, target I've ever seen ! The beauty section is amazing, they had high and make up and skincare. Their home section was beautifully decorated and very well stocked . So many employees, fast check out and plenty of parking. Will definitely stop in next time I'm in this area. read more

This Target is right in the middle of a large shopping center with an IKEA, ALDIs, a mall so parking is plentiful. The parking lot does have a few folks in it that are either pan handling or looking to cause trouble. To be fair, I had no problems but I do see what other yelpers are talking about. An employee suggested that I buy a "refundable gift card" and get a 5% discount on a major purchase. I bought the $500 gift card and ended up paying the balance in cash, which negated my promised 5% discount. I felt betrayed and lied to and asked for my "refundable money " NOPE!!! The refund had to be a gift card only! So now I'm stuck with a $500.00 Target only gift card that I was tricked into buying. This is why I will NEVER buy a Target gift card ever again. This Target used to be such a smooth and easy shopping experience. But now, it's HELL. One of the worst things about this Target are the young panhandlers in the parking lot and in front of the store. I'm not sure what prompted the lock down of certain items but the fact that it takes Team Members 20-30mins to show up for assistance is absolutely ridiculous! Please be aware that aisle G17 does not have an assistance hand prompter device. Outside of fresh produce the selection of items is good and worth the price. read more

If you are wanting to purchase something behind one of the locked panels, forget it! You will be waiting forever!! It is like this every time. I understand it is a large store and they are trying to prevent theft, but I often find myself leaving without the basic items that I came to buy due to sitting there for over 10-15 minutes, repeatedly waving the sensor, just to not have anyone show up. I have stopped many employees and asked if they could open it up for me, just to be told that they are busy doing something else (understandable) and don't have a key to the case, but that they will call someone. Only for no one to ever come. Incredibly frustrating! Use to love this target location but it's changed a lot, only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of my nice experience with one of the workers. I had been waiting on someone to come help with formula for a whiiiile, she was the only worker that passed by and actually acknowledged me. She seemed like she was on her way to do something else so i felt bad for having to ask her for help because I wasn't sure if she was in this department, but she assured me it was fine. I'm gonna up them a star because of customer service. So, I am looking for this specific vase. I went on their app and was told this particular store carries it. Got through here and for the life of me, I just couldn't locate it. I used the app and went to the specific area where that item was supposed to be, but no score. I also went to another area where it could possibly be (Home Décor) but no cigar. After 20 minutes of running around, I finally asked staff. I told them I've been practically everywhere and couldn't find the darn thing and that, "I really REALLY want it." Girl did her thing on her little gadget and asked me to wait. Do not go to this Target or you will leave unhappy every time. Store is very unorganized and usually not fully restocked. Employees are very unprofessional and rude. Stop in and see the new mini Ulta inside Target! It just opened 3 days ago! You can't miss it if you enter the store on the side near the pharmacy. Back-to-school items are still on sale, but the shelves desperately need to be restocked. My advice is to use the Target app to shop! This store has added more health/wellness/beauty sections, especially for men. There are several places in the store that need to be restocked. (The unpacked merch is there, so if you're looking for a job, this store is almost definitely hiring!) read more

Like Walmart and Ralph's in Carson, this store not only allows dogs but they also allow customers to put their pets in the basket where shoppers put their food items! Unsanitary and disgusting! I have complained at all these stores and all I get is. "we are sorry, only service dogs are allowed but they are not allowed in baskets! what good is it to have a 4x4. sign at the bottom of door? The signs should be at eyesight level and the dogs should be stopped At the door! How simple is that? Service dogs with license only! No pets allowed! read more

Place is clean and it wasn't too hard finding my items. I go to Target at least 1-2 times a week. Being a single mom with a toddler I always have to re-up on the goods. So this is where it gets weird. As I'm paying for my items. I always ask them to price match a specific baby food item that is always priced at 1.98 at Walmart. I always have the app ready to physically shown them the active price. The cashier tells me he cant price match if its a different store... Since i came to buy food a beverage ( spend $50 get $10) he rang up the items he could and sent me on my way to customer service which is right by the exit... Being the good citizen I am i stood and waited in line with a screaming toddler. The girl at customer service pretty much shut me down about price matching and said they can only do two items maximum. I pulled up my Target history purchases and the pricing of Walmart... then she tells me every Target has different policies... Since When?! Lol anyhow, i wasn't there to play so i asked for the manager and he pretty much said the same thing. I am a single mama and the baby food pouches i get for my son add up. Anyhow there was no apology or even looking into it. Just rudeness and cutting me off saying there was nothing they could do. Attached are receipts of my previous purchases and current pricing at both stores. I also have a claim open with Corporate because customer service on the phone said that shouldn't have been an issue at all. I understand stores have their policies but employees need to be corrected when they're making mistakes. On October 17, 2024 myself and my 4 year old daughter were trying to navigate the aisles so we could shop. This proved difficult due to the freight littering the aisles. We ultimately bumped into a freight cart and a box fell over. I immediately looked for a manager to alert them of the safety issue and potential liability. I ran into a manager and explained the situation. He was not very concerned or apologetic. I explained my disappointment with the state of the store and the alarming safety issue especially around children and he offered to move the cart but offered no apology. When I explained that I'm surprised that he wasn't taking the issue more seriously on behalf of Target he asked, "So what do you want me do?" and directed me to call corporate. He said there was no other manager in the store. Alonso, the highest ranking manager at Carson North told me to call corporate so I did. read more

Beyond disappointed with the customer service of this Target. I came here to locate a simple shoe polish in aisle O3. I asked four people for help and nobody could point me in the right direction to locate this item. One employee completely directed me to home goods to locate the shoe polish. Why would shoe polish be placed in home goods? I even asked an employee if they could walk with me and show me where the item was. The employee told me they don't work on the floor directly, but offered to direct me another employee. Unfortunately, that employee couldn't even locate someone on the floor. I then attempted to locate the item myself; however there were no visible signs indicating where O3 is. By this point I was frustrated and left. read more

To everyone out there so I know that you were all complaining about the price of bags this was just ridiculous they were paying so much so in order for you not to be charge. You would think that this would be in the app when you're purchasing your groceries no there's no button to tell you know I don't want any bags. You have to tell them you don't want any bags before you show your code to pick up your food or your items otherwise you will be charged. And this has been going on and on back-and-forth I've walked in to get my money several times. And now the rules have changed again so it's official. Tell them you don't want any bags when they get to your car then show your code. Do that first and then you will not be charged for Bags. I asked the attendant at self checkout if I was scanning the right barcode and she said yes. Instead of improving customer service and general connection with the community. At the end of the day I understand loss prevention... but it's ridiculous.
