I love going to Daiso's that aren't the ones that are local to me to what they have in stock, since there's always some slight variation in each one. This one is a bit busier due to its location in the mall and it's proximity to SJSU and what I assume is another school since there were a lot of Zoomers walking around and shopping too. I think I visited when they were still doing an inventory or stock update since some of the aisles had items and packaging boxes blocking the way. Decent stock of kawaii goods and items (Sanrio etc.) and they had a good amount of oshikatsu goods and display items for fandom things. Prices are normal for Daiso, with things being decently affordable and other things making me go WTF, like $5 for a small pack of imported Japanese premium gummies, but that's the same for all locations. Could NOT find any charging cable for iPhone, but that was the case for another Daiso I stopped by. I guess I'm lucky that one time that the Monterey Park location had one. It's a sign of the changing times. I saw staff answering questions and working the stock the shelves and a couple at the cashier, so at the very least, this location is well staffed. read more

The Japantown Daiso store was the first in San Francisco and the Stonestown is the second store next to 2nd street ( the second handstore not the actual street in SF). You find everything in here from the can matcha, espresso candy , Golden Curry( not the Warriors ball player), hi-chew , Japanese rice crackers ,shrimp chips, stationery , sushi rice, and vegan ramen. This place adds value to Stonestown Galleria and I"d buy that for a dollar ! "in San Francisco. This place is a goldmine for anything and everything you may need. This is a Japanese chain that sells cheap everyday essentials. This is the Japanese version of our dollar store. This branch is small but holds a lot. They have kitchenware, storage solutions, cleaning supplies, and home decor items. Stationery items like notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, stickers, and other office supplies. Beauty Products reasonably priced makeup, skincare, and hair accessories. I also love getting yummy snacks, instant noodles, drinks, and other Japanese-inspired food items. I keep coming back. I also like that it's inside the mall! 5 stars! read more

Tight quarters. Narrow aisles. Fewer merchandise. If I drop in again it'll be for a box of S&B's Golden Curry. It's stocked in many supermarkets but somehow it feels like a good buy here. I have purchased drill bits at Daiso before, and they work just as well as name brand ones for my purposes. If one is a stationary aficionado, check out the paper and pens on offer: Japanese paper is well known for its value and ability to handle fountain pens. As to this specific Daiso, it is a bit smaller than those in Japantown or Serramonte. there used to be various Daiso outposts throughout San Francisco but they got looted out of existence. One was on Market near FiDi and one was on the 16th in the Potrero Plaza. Sometimes things are a bit tight and some of the staff seem a bit over it but they hide it well and they're always polite to me so there you go. read more

Daiso had been the first to appear in SF before Miniso as the most popular discount store. Joining the rest of the Japanese businesses like Uniqlo and Matcha Café Maiko, half of Stonestown Galleria had slowly become the shopping center of J-Town. You ought to buy most of any items in Daiso that costs as low as $1.5 each. Other items, once again, were a little expensive. So this could be a good shopping experience, especially for those who have low income. The pictures below were my best purchases. Non instant GreeNoodle packets and Uji matcha glass bottle soft drinks were one of the greatest selections. Daiso in Stonestown Galleria now has its self-service machines you can use if you use your credit card. New Daiso in Stonestown! This one is smaller than the one they used to have at the former Shoe Palace. They squeezes their entire merchandise into this space. Aisles are narrow so no shopping carts. Huge long lines for the grand opening. So excited to see Daiso in the neighborhood. I was fortunate to be on the other side of the mall due to the long lines and was entertained by Taikoo drums and an unexpected ribbon cutting by London Breed. Still waiting to get in. OK , I finally got in and bought a few gardening supplies and food. There were self checkouts as Well as cash registers. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. At the self checkout , there were staff on hand to help if needed and Apple Pay was excepted. As expected, a little chaotic on grand opening day and prices were not clearly marked because you have to convert the yen price to $ on the charts nearby. Daiso is a great place for cute and innovative items. Definitely will be back to peruse more leisurely. read more

This location is very tiny but the selection is well curated! They stock a great variety of useful items, particularly the kitchen tools. I was surprised I found a few things I haven't seen at bigger locations such as in Japantown and Serramonte. Another big plus is they have self checkout so I didn't have to wait in line at all. I do wish the location was bigger so that there were more food and drink options, so I'll rate it a solid 4.5 stars. read more

I constantly go to this diaso location since it's close to where I live and I used to work in the mall and I've always had a welcoming experience until today. Today I was stopped by the lady at the cash register and she demanded to see my receipt. I was literally in front of her at the kiosk and had just paid for a pair of slides. She for sure saw me. She kept demanding that she see my receipt. As a black woman it was a very dehumanizing experience. It would've been fine if she had asked other people but she didn't. She only asked the one black person out of the whole store to see my receipt. Incredibly rude. read more

This newly opened Daiso is on the second floor of Stonestown. It has a sizable snack selection. It's finally open again, which is good news for cute junk shoppers. It has that new store smell right now, so hit it if you enjoy that stuff. It's pretty small for a Daiso, it's not nearly as big as the old one, but it's still worth going to nonetheless. read more
