I've been told it used to be a racetrack, Japanese American internment camp, to name a few. It's hard to believe this place has so much history but can look so abandoned on the outside. This was where I had my first job working at Miller's Outpost / Anchor Blue. That's when it used to be a very alive mall then, with the super cheap double show movie theater. The good old days when life was much simpler and we weren't glued to cell phones, lol. I could've sworn I read somewhere a while back this place was sold, and it was going to be like a biotech/ apartment in like 5 years or so. I could be wrong. Like most malls now, it's mostly all about food. I believe they still do off the grid here every Tuesday. For what it is, it's still a cool place to just walk around, catch a movie, and get a bite to eat.

He politely asked an employee for help and even brought over a similar sculpture of a different dog breed that DID have a sticker so they could compare pricing. The employee took the Labrador sculpture to the front to get a price, then came back and specifically told us the item would be waiting for us up front to purchase. We then stood in line for nearly 20 minutes only to get to the register and discover the sculpture was nowhere to be found. The employee had disappeared, and when the other workers finally contacted her, she casually told them she "broke it trying to put the sticker on." No apology. No explanation. No effort to make it right. They didn't even let us see it to see how bad it was broken, we might have even still bought it if it was minimal. It honestly felt incredibly suspicious and unprofessional, especially after being told it would be held for us. If it truly broke, why did nobody bother to tell us while we were standing in line all that time? I think the employee wanted it herself. The entire situation was frustrating, disorganized, and handled terribly. Customer service here is clearly not a priority. Store is always a mess and line is always still so long when there's 5+ checkers !!!!

Anchor stores are Mollie Stone Market and CVS Drugstore. I was recently at Bayhill for the grand opening party for the Local Kitchens Micro Food Hall. Other major brands include: Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Baskin Robbins, Carl's Jr, Round Table Pizza, and State Farm. While driving on I-280, this shopping center might make a nice rest stop. They have the usual Mollie Stones, Starbucks, and Carl's Jr. Usually, during the summer, this is one of it spots for the Wednesday nighters. That's when people bring their hot rods and show cars. I placed an order in March and waited until late May to check on my order for a key for my brother's 2011 Toyota Sienna that we intended to sell. Because of the time lapse, we decided to cancel the order and ask for a refund. One of the Costco managers asked me about my situation and called the company in trying to get an immediate approval for my refund but we hit a roadblock as they, being east coast based, asked us to call them back. The manager took my info and told me he'd call me after working on this with them. The next day, he called me and told me the seller insisted that I be present for the call before they'd approve it so I may an appointment to return a week later during my regular Costco shopping day. We met up again and he explained the process before heading to their office and speaking with them on their landline speaker phone. A short time later, we walked to the returns counter and my refund was completed. Big thanks to David for his patience and attention to details in helping me resolve this complicated situation. As with the other veteran staff there, he is friendly and helpful in making my shopping experience seamless.

Not in the sense that the mall is unmaintained - as they have recently repaved a decent section of the parking lot, but lots of shops are not taking as much care as others to keep the area clean and free of trash. There's also a huge amount of surveillance cameras that flash rapidly at night, giving it a very ghetto vibe. I used to come to the Starbucks at this location all the time because they're one of the only Starbucks open 24 hours, and have free wifi so I can study and whatnot.

The aisles were clean, they had four cashiers working, the cashiers were friendly, and the store was well-stocked. Wow! The snack and candy aisles were chock full of things. If you're looking to create care packages or stock up on goodies for yourself--come here. I think I know where I will go from now on.

Upon entering I grabbed a shopping cart in the front of the store. I looked at all the aisles. Everything was neatly displayed and organized. The wide aisles made it easy to push my cart around the store. When I went to pay there was one cashier. As the line built up a second sales person opened another register. I shop at many Dollar Tree Stores all over the country. This was the most pleasant shopping experience I have ever had at a Dollar Tree Store. Cudos to the staff and management for taking care of this location. I will be back!
