I typically love Miniso, but this is not my favorite location. I'm at Stonestown pretty often, and I usually stop by whenever I'm there. Unfortunately, I leave empty-handed about 9 out of 10 times because they never seem to have the newer items I'm looking for. I especially love collecting blind boxes, and this location often feels behind on stocking new releases. One interaction I had here a while back really stuck with me. An older employee told me about a promotion while ringing up my purchase. After checking out, I grabbed a few more items so I could take advantage of the deal she had mentioned. When the discount didn't appear, I asked her about the promotion, and she responded in a rude tone, saying she had no idea what I was talking about. I understand that people may not remember every interaction, but this happened within just a few minutes of our conversation. The response felt dismissive and unnecessary, and it left a negative impression. I still love Miniso as a brand, but this location has been disappointing compared to others I've visited. read more

I couldn't find a charging cable for my iPhone at the Daiso so my back up was to go to Miniso and have my fingers crossed. Alas is the world of having an "older" model phone that isn't USB-C. Pain, misery, agony. Luckily enough, I was able to find an iPhone charging cable here (I got 2 just in case) and it was around $5-6. Pretty steep, but it's high speed and I was in dire straits. It's still working, so it's not a super cheap garbage one, yet. There was one worker here when we went and a good number of people looking around at stuff, but there was no wait for me to check out. I'll be honest, this is the smallest and most barren, cleared out Miniso that I've been to. Canmake shelves were decimated and it a lot of the make up samples were broke and dirty. I wouldn't want to touch any of it or purchase any with my bare hands. NorCal doesn't have an equivalent of Ebisu Life or Fukuya Life, so aside from some other miscellaneous places, this would be the only place I would think to get imported make up off the top of my head and to see it in that state, especially if I really needed something (for a con, etc.), I would NOT be happy. Other than that this location is mostly gifts, blind boxes, make up (no matter how decimated) and very little other goods (electronics, home goods, snacks). There are better, bigger Miniso out there, but this served it's purpose at the very least. read more

I made the mistake of purchasing an item without noticing the price displayed wasn't what I payed for, (I ended up paying more sadly), so after trying to have the issue fixed they basically told me to return it or leave it as is. I came in because I love browsing around Miniso! They have lots of cute things for your house, car, beauty--pretty much everything. It reminds me of Daiso, but just a little more expensive. I was excited to get a free blind box for my birthday month, but I didn't realize only certain ones were eligible. The girl at the counter was nice, but she wasn't sure which ones were part of the promo, so I had to go back and forth a few times. Eventually, she suggested I grab a few different ones and she'd check them at the register. It would've been helpful if she was more familiar with the birthday deal and knew exactly which items were included. :) read more

Came in on the 23rd of December and couldn't have been more pleased with the shopping experience. Great selection, great prices and fast and friendly. The mall was filled with people right before Christmas. I feel like I was in one of those Christmas movies filled with chaos and stress. The shelves at nearby Sees looked as if a tornado sweeped all the candy away and the mall was overall near capacity. Walking into here everything was under control. There were also many inside but the stock of everything was in good supply and things were neat an orderly. I quickly found many things last minute including Mario candy tins. A mushroom, a star, a mystery box... even a pac man tin. Proof is in the pudding. Little ones loved everything from here. Snoopy and branded high quality items with that mini price. Hot wheels, pac man trinket - even more useful things such as car phone chargers. Lunch boxes and things for people of all ages. I fell just short of a certain dollar amount that would get me $5 off and the cashier was quick to tell me about it. Very friendly. Next year before Christmas do yourself a favor and come stop here first. read more

My fun young friend kept encouraging me to visit Miniso and I kept putting it off thinking... it's a "generational thing" hah. Well the day came when we were getting "healthy steps" in the mall before the baseball game and we ended up at Miniso. She was sooo right, this store is FILLED with cute things! And before I knew it, I had my arms full of treasures to buy... a BT21 V nite lite for me (who doesn't need yet another cute nite lite?!? Heheh)... a jigsaw puzzle for a friend... a few other goodies. This store is fun and addicting. Chinese old woman Iris is rude, impolite and naive to what is going on with the deal. The sign says buy 5 items get 20 % off then during check out, the woman informed us to be a member... so we signed up. Then she goes "I don't know what is going on" I politely said can you honor it because you made us sign up? She said "I can't" in a very rude manner and said "you can complain to the HR" Very rude, deceitful and unprofessional. read more

I know, that logo totally makes you think it's Uniqlo, or Uniqlo adjacent, but these two stores have nothing to do with each other and are indeed separate companies. You can consider Miniso like a Daiso, as the stuff they sell are pretty much the same thing. They advertise themselves as Japanese inspired, so if anything, you can basically just compare them apples to apples, though in Japan Daisos are more supermarket and less like the ones here in the US, but I digress. This Miniso location is fairly sized. Unlike the Daisos, Miniso is more focused on selling stuffed animals and other stuff that looks like stuff animals but are usable, like towels, hooded clothing, blankets, etc. I mean really, the two things that you would mainly come here for are the stuff animals (because they're just so cute, and fairly priced, with most things on the lower cost side for well sized stuffed animals) and the snacks. They of course also have other stuff, such as general use home things (not as much as Daiso), but stationary is a good thing to get from here too. Just generally, a store you would want to walk into without any specific intention other than shopping for random fun things. Great store to bring your kids to, or a bad one depending on how much you end up buying, lol. The staff here are quite helpful, though they're are usually just a single staff for the store, so you may need to have patience here while waiting to be helped sometimes because they need to walk the floor and help people out there so it leaves no one at the register. Miniso also offers free gifts for every dollar amount mark, though it's mostly just things like socks, usb chargers, stationary pad, etc. I mean, it's free, so can't complain too much. All in all, Miniso is a cute little store to visit, with things priced reasonably, and just a great place to get some cute stuffed animals, either for your kids or for yourself. They have some other random things around the place, but nothing that will be specifically helpful for people who are looking for specific household things, as they aren't really a Daiso or market, so most of those things aren't really sold there. Knick knacks and MARVEL merchandise Came here one Saturday afternoon and I just looked around browsing at all their merchandise. Miniso have partnered with MARVEL, the home of many Super Heroes: Spider Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Captain Marvel and many of the items on display were super heroes related from plush items, baseball caps, backpacks and tote bags, food storage containers, tumblers, water bottles and cups... etc. The store just has an eclectic potpourri of merchandise including make up and cosmetics, fragrance collection, stationery and school supplies. That was during my first visit. I came back the following week and the display changed to a section of Disney items which they didn't have last week. I guess they rotate their merchandise to different items each week. All the Marvel stuff are still there. I purchased a few gifts for my teen. With my purchase they gave me a box of 50-count disposable face masks for FREE. The customer in front of me got 3 boxes free! I'm not sure if the offer was for after a $15 purchase or $20. Haven't been here since forever ... it's still as cute as I remember it. And it's STILL EXPENSIVE AS I REMEMBER. EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE! My niece bought this little ass teddy bear keychain for $7 for her friend as an early Xmas present. (But will give it to her in December) I was VERY TEMPTED to purchase a unicorn for my baby niece but I stopped myself. It's fun to walk around and hold the plushies and look at the tech and such but not fun to spend $3 on a gel pen that don't work. They are launching Sanrio products on the 30th... I saw this store and decided to browse around since it looks similar to Daiso. Thank God I did because they have a lot of quality goods at great prices! I found wireless earphones that has a neck band that goes around my neck like a headphone. I used it for running for 2 weeks and it is working really well! What a deal at $10!! Way better than the pure wireless earphones I bought online that fell out when I ran. It connects easily with blue tooth. I ran for 40 mins per day twice a week for 2 weeks, and haven't charged it yet. read more

A miniature DAISO store? Or so I thought as the store name implied it was affiliated with the aforementioned store. However, it's a separate company that is based in China but has the same concept and target audience. Even though it's a Chinese-owned company, it's co-founded by a Japanese designer. Ahhh, the power of Google. So what's the difference between DAISO and MINISO? Well, the latter is a bit pricier compared to the former. Go figure since both of their products are manufactured in China anyways. My first impression was that it's a neat, clean and organized store that is similar to DAISO. Wifey liked the store (no surprises there) much more than I do as she can go to every aisle as if she's reading the fine print on a contract paper. However, it didn't spark joy for me like Marie Kondo. Even though they had neat stuff, I couldn't find much use for them as most of their products are just not that interesting unlike DAISO. Come to think of it, this review is for MINISO not DAISO, but I can't help but compare the two. Am I saying that it's a cheap but more expensive imitation of DAISO? I walked into this store with a few of my friends and we immediately got racially profiled. The security guard started following us in the store and continued to stare. We were all uncomfortable and then got approached by one of the staff claiming that we'd been staring at the man. When we expressed our concern, it was overlooked and we promptly left after feeling unwelcome. I don't recommend coming here if you're poc and just trying to shop with a few friends. read more

Miniso is a Japanese discount store like Daiso. My co-worker told me yesterday they opened and i just had to stop be after work today to check it out. The lines were crazy long at the register, but you have to walk past the lines just to get into the store. inside the store there was a variety of items, from lego-like toys, to hair brushes, to kitchen utensils, to stuff animals , to backpacks and so much more. Their prices ranges from 2.00 to 11.00 for some of the items i saw. The employees were all pretty polite and had a smile on their faces as they restocked or helped others. Unlike Daiso, they have a return policy. You can return it within 7 days of purchase, this applies to most items except for worn items like jewelry. I was so happy with my purchase. I got this super SUPER soft penguin for under 4.00!! I love it soo much! Can't wait to come back! read more

Can be a great store. Recently took my child into the store and strangely got followed around by the security guard as I followed my kid through the store. I get security is an issue, but waking behind us by 3 feet as we went down two aisles is a bit much. We ended our visit and left early. Benefit of the doubt could be that we were the only customers in the store and the security has nothing else to do, but could you watch more from a distance. read more

Super Weird. I visit miniso every week. They seem to rotate their inventory or something. Like there's new stuff every time. What really draws me is the Marvel Collaboration. I got a sweet Marvel rug for my dog. He loves it. What is also weird, is the amount of theft in combination with no staff here. It always feels like there is one cashier just yelling at other employees then the employees disappear. The line gets long and it's a circus. The energy here is so crazy that I see kids stealing left and right. Up and down. It's creepy weird. Oh well. It's the sign of the times I guess. This place is like Daiso but not as big. But that's good in a way because the quality of the product is much better. It's a little bit more expensive, but not much more for their products. There isn't as much of a variety but they will hit about 90% of what you need. If I were you, I'd hit up Miniso first to see if they have what you need, if they don't, Daiso is just a couple miles down the way. The sales lines weren't too bad, they had 3 cashiers there and they will get you out pretty fast. Overall it's a good experience, will come back here again. read more

I've been to some Miniso stores in Asia and thought they were pretty neat with all the cute knick knacks. It's basically like an expanded and slightly more expensive version of Daiso. However when I went to this Miniso, this time like 75% of the store (at least that's how it felt like) was themed with the Chibi Marvel characters. I think having a section is fine but having more than half the store be Marvel seemed a bit excessive! They have lots of household items like stationery, kitchen supplies, personal care etc. I didn't actually find anything this time but I'll come back at some point. Hopefully they will have more IP they can showcase the next time I go. I did see the We Bare Bears and Adventure Time, as well as unbranded stuff, but the Marvel definitely dominated when I went! read more

What a cute little department store. We randomly stumbled in because of the huge We Bare Bears display beckoning to all passerby. (I'm a fan of this series, obvi). It's kind of like a Daiso and Ichiban Kan, but I believe Miniso is a Chinese retailer vs. Japanese...inexpensive, useful items, organized by type and color! I'm unsure of the We Bare Bears event that was happening, but I'm almost positive that the branded products being sold were for a limited time only. I did a bit of research and learned they have several partnerships with other pop culture franchises. Rumor has it, Marvel products may be in production! During my visit, I ended up purchasing: -WBB Passport holder ($3.99) -10-pack of square and oval makeup sponges ($2.99) -Toiletry bag w/ several different compartments ($9.99) I think this is a great addition to the Stonestown Galleria and I look forward to the new products they put out! read more

Sort of like a daiso but not quite a daiso. . Stuff here are more than 1.50 for sure. Stuff are made in China most likely. But I can tell you everything is under 10 dollars. . So they have functional stuff from home goods ,office supplies, traveling, kitchen, to electronics, and cute stuff. . So my friend told me they had great electronic chargers for your phones and electronics. I bought a portable charger which has 10000mah which is pretty good for 10 bucks and it was super cute too. . This is located inside stonestown mall across from Zara if your wondering where. . There are plenty of parking because it's in stonestown so no worries for that . Overall I like daiso more but they have different stuff all the time so I will be back to check on the cool and cute accessories. I think there is another location near union square for sf if your wondering. But this is the only location I have been too so far in 2019 June. At first look Miniso looks aesthetically pleasing. Glossy white floors, white lights everywhere, everything satisfyingly well organized and very clean. It feels as though you're entering into the future. Miniso is another cheap, affordable, dollar tree esque store. Except unlike it's counter part Daiso (Japanese dollar store) it's prices are little bit more expensive. While Daiso boast a 75% store wide $1 price tag with a few selections upward of $3-$5, Miniso ranges anywhere from $1 upwards of $25 for some products such as headphones and portable USB phone chargers . Unfortunately, you can't find much snacks here, except for the usual sodas, chocolate bars, hi-chews, and gums. Miniso mostly carries electronics, school supplies, beauty supplies, essentials, and bags. I do love their differently priced paper bags that looks similar to Uniqlo, very cute and sturdy. Also, unlike most dollar stores which has a final sale policy, their items have a 7 day return policy. Having said that, you also have to consider this store's location which is in Stonestown Galleria, next to SF State. So it's understandable why their selections is skewed towards college students on a budget. I do however like their pen selections and cheap face mask that they carry. I find myself getting them whenever I pass by this location. The quality of their stuff is also a little better quality than any Dasio or Dollar Tree. If you're a college person or someone who loves to buy cheap and afforadable supplies for office or school, this is your store. read more

Miniso is definitely an adorable cute place that has so many cute items to buy. However, don't be fooled. As mentioned many times but is very true, it is basically a jacked-up priced Daiso. The quality of these items are equivalent to items at Daiso. I do admired how there seems to be a different theme on there items from time to time. For example, at one point it was all We Bare Bears and Adventure Time themed items. Right now, it is currently November 2019 and the whole entire store is literally Marvel Avengers themed! read more

I got the chance to see this awesome MiniSoo store that folks have told me about in Japan! I remember them telling me they couldn't really describe what type of store it is. My best way to describe MiniSoo is "a fun store with well made, quality goods!" I asked the cashier how long they have been open and he said only since Thursday! ( As this is written they have only been open for 6 days!) And they cannot keep anything on the shelves! The cashier said, "As fast as we are restocking the shelves, everything is selling! It's been busy nonstop." That's a good thing! At first glance on the construction wall where it says "opening soon MiniSoo" you could easily mistake the company to be affiliated with the Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo because their colors are quite similar; a plain white background with red dominant writing. But according to the employees that work there, they are actually 2 separate companies. I admit I went a bit crazy as everything in here is so darn adorable and a decent price point! Some cool MiniSoo things that I liked here: - Cosmetic products (nail polish, brow stencils, loose face setting powder, eyeliner! - Tolietries (cotton pads, cotton swabs) - Travel toiletries (pill boxes, baby wipes - Hair goods (massager brushes, hair roller kits, hair styling clips) - Electronics (speakers, cool lamps, phone holders, phone cases, mobile charging cords, quality portable phone batteries) - Kitchenware (mugs w/covers, steel chopsticks, food storage, utensils) - SNACKS (pocky!!) I always stop by here when I am at Stonestown Mall! Miniso has the best plushies! If you see something you like you better buy it ASAP because they rotate their inventory and most likely will not find the same items! You can find almost everything and anything in this store. This store reminds me of a mix of daiso and muji. The store has a mixture of items from food, home, accessories, jewlery, all the was to plushies. I went here while I was waiting for a repair on my phone Andy happened to find some different items. I was hesitant on it I should wait in tine to buy one item. But I am glad I did it was worth it. I love this store so much, but why is half of it filled with Marvel products these days? Is there some buyout happening or are they just in some sort of weird partnership with them? Either way I found it odd that all of the usual goods here also come in marvel character designs and that half of the stuffed animals are now marvel minis. Other than that this store had a good selection of product at average prices. There were a couple of people on the floor restocking and looking annoyed - not the best representation of Miniso but still not a deterrent to peruse the aisles. So excited Miniso has finally opened its doors in Stonestown. So here I am, at the Grand Opening. And opening in style with DJ music, breakdancing and amazing taiko drumming.
