Daiso is stocked full of useful gadgets to improve your life. I never leave empty handed. In regards to other reviewers, complaining about no returns for this $1.50 (to $7) store is insane. Customers who try to return everything they buy is what makes me hate my own country from time to time. Everything in this store is extremely basic and straight forward. If you feel the need to return something, that means you made a personal decision mistake and should accept the blame for it. Also, shame on people who come 5 minutes before closing and think they should be allowed inside. Of course they need a few minutes to finish closing up the lines. read more

this daiso store is pretty small and very cramped. it's located in the plaza with the chase, starbucks, ono, and other businesses. for the amount of stores that are here, the parking is severely inadequate. i honestly hate going here but i can't fault daiso for that other than their choice of location. their stuff is the same as any other daiso: silverware, bowls/plates, utensils, cleaning supplies, stationary (which are pretty decent quality), storage supplies, and a small selection of snacks. i'd honestly go to another daiso, it's much more worth it to drive further away and visit a larger location and hang out in another area. read more

This Daiso Japan is the best:) the store is big and all the staffs are super duper friendly. If you need anything, don't be shy, just ask them and they will be more than happy to help:D I will definitely come back for more cutie Japanese stuff. Anyways, thnkfully I saved my old review for some reason, so here it is again: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My one-star review is mainly due to the appalling behavior of the (I'm assuming) managers who run this store. I've been here a couple times in the past, without any incident. The youngish workers here have always been pretty helpful whenever I had any questions and the cashiers have always been pretty friendly, so my review isn't about them, it's mainly about the adults who run this store. So today I came in around afternoon time and it was quite packed, which I suppose is understandable since it was Xmas Eve. While browsing the store I notice a small group of Japanese men just milling around the store. Despite wearing just regular dress shirts, I could tell they were supervisors of some sort since they were talking with what appeared to be the store manager (wearing the store uniform but in a different color). That, and I know a little Japanese, so I was able to understand some of what they were saying. And let me tell you, they were saying some of the rudest and most unprofessional things I've ever heard from store employees. As I've mentioned before, I have never had any problems with any of the younger workers, but these "supervisors" somehow felt it was in their right to just openly discuss among themselves how "lazy" and "slow" these "children" were...wow. Okay, so it was in Japanese so maybe the workers don't understand, but that seems worse, because to me, these kids looked like they were working pretty hard, especially when they shouldve been home with their families. But these "supervisors" just kept going att them, talking about how the cashiers weren't fast enough or that they missed a dirty spot on the floor. I dont know, it really rubbed me the wrong way. I got really upset so I decided to leave, but not before I heard another guy marvel at how these customers would buy just about anything... I understand that this review probably comes off as just a bit creepy since I was basically eavesdropping, but hey, I couldnt help it. I've always had a soft spot for retail workers since I used to wait, and these positions are basically the same in terms of received respect. So to end this, I dont think I'll be coming back, if this is how Daiso treats its employees. read more

My friends told me to go here to buy stuff for my new house. She told me to go to the one in Atlantic, but I recently moved to Temple City and notice theres a Daiso. I came here on Monday and brought really useful items for my kitchen and snacks. I needed help on finding microwavable plastic cover for bowl. My friend recommend this item. I had a hard time finding it. So i asked a girl in a red shirt named "Matilda", I asked her very nicely and explained to her that I never seen it in person and it was recommend by a friend. She replied, " Oh, I don't know." and she turned her back to talk to another girl in the red shirt. I asked Matilda another question, If they have tea pot set. She pointed straight and told me it should be somewhere in the left by the ceramic area. I feel like she didn't care to help me and just wanted to chit chat with her fellow co-worker. It seems like I was annoying to her. But I would think that is any employees job at Daiso to help a customers when they ask and to pretend not to be annoyed. At the check out area, the girls wear white shirt. I don't know what's the differences between white shirt and red, but the white shirt girls seems alot happier and the two cashiers are friendly when I asked them about the products. 1 star = for cashiers helping me 1 star = nice affordable products read more

This store is like the freakin Twilight Zone. You walk in, and you walk out over an hour later! With crap in your bag you didn't even know you wanted, or needed for that matter!! I had never heard of Daiso Japan prior to my visit here. This location is so close to my house I decided to check it out. I was pretty surprised at the variety of items they carry. Will definitely be back for some more Hi-Chew and other randomness. read more

I LOVE Daiso so much! This is one of the few that I like to visit regularly. The reason that this one in particular has three stars instead of five is that on my last visit it was rather dirty. Lots of scuff marks on the floor and just not very pristine like the other Daisos. Also I took my grandmother who is in a wheelchair, and even though they do have a ramp inside, the aisles were a bit too narrow for her to navigate without trouble. Some of the front areas were barely passable. Hopefully they work this out so their elderly patrons are happier. read more

I love what Daiso is doing and how they're offering decent quality goods for a cheaper price, but some of the customer service there needs some improvement. My girlfriend and I walked in one day and asked where a certain item is located, we were completely ignored by 2 employees who were chit chatting with each other and then they gave us an annoyed look. I guess They might've missed lunch or something, but I'm pretty sure that's not what employees should do, even though most of their merchandise are $1.50. read more

Yes! Finally Daiso open at this location :) the parking lot is big so you can find the parking easily. From the outside it seemed that they have a lot of goods over at this daiso. I will definitely be a regular at this location. Managed to get through the crowd within 15 mins of grand opening and knowing the procedure of free goodie bag (purchase something then give receipt at the entrance) helped me a lot. This place is huge and you can find almost anything you need for home essentials for cheap. I come here when I need to replace something in the house. I like shopping here because there are always many cute stuff to look at. And almost everything is $1.50 and the quality seems better than 99 cents or dollar tree. They are opening more and more location within this few years. You must visit a Daiso if you are into Japanese goodies is a very nice chain stores with a wide range of items, staff is nice and stores are always clean no restrooms so be aware of that ,we have visited many of the Daiso stores, really recommend them and most of their items are good quality just use common sence when choosing but over all you will be happy you decided to stop by. read more

I was excited that Daiso opened a store in Temple City so I don't have to go to Monterey Park. I went there for the first time tonight. Around 8:30pm, a clerk announced that the store would close at 9pm and asked all customers to go to register to pay immediately. After the announcement, customers started to line up and I was 6 or 7th people in line. The line moved really slow because there was only one register open which one clerk is scanning and handling cash and the other clerk stood there to hold the bag. At around 8:45pm, the same announcement was announced again but they didn't open more registered. There were 3 more clerks standing next to the registers but they didn't add additional help. I was in line for around 25 minutes before I was able to pay. When I left the store, there was still a long line. With my experience at other Daiso stores, there are at least 2 open registers and add more cashier if there are more customers waiting in line. I am disappointed at their lack of service and bad management. I've never expected to wait for a long time in line at a store on weekday nights. Hope they can improve soon. read more

I lived in Japan for about 5 years in the past and I have somewhat adopted the culture. It was great stumbling into this place it reminds me of 100 yen store in Japan! Except for this place the prices are $1.50 and up. The prices vary but the main store prices are $1.50! I will be coming back again there so many cool items here!! For such a good price. read more

I walked in and was blown away by the huge selection of knick knacks and snacks that they offered!! It was too bad that my mom and I walked in 20 minutes prior to closing; I might have spent a whole day there! This store was clean, organized, and played upbeat music, which is a plus to put you in a good mood to buy just about anything! It is less one star for rating because the employees there don't really know what they are carrying, and could not point me in the right direction to find the chair leg socks that my mom wanted. We eventually found them, and when we went to pay for them, the same employees just asked if we found what we were looking for, not realizing we had already asked them for something! Daiso is a cute little shop I like to visit when I'm in the area. Rows of adorable "squishies", face masks, Japanese snacks, and cute stationary- just my type of store. Friendly staff, great items, this store is one of my favorites. The prices are good, everything is $1.50 unless marked otherwise. The store is clean and very organized. I always like to pick up a nice face mask, a few knick knacks, and a cheap Calpico drink. There are so many unique items that are really cheap. I recommend going! read more

Been hearing about Daiso for a while now & I finally checked it out at this place for the first time right when they opened. It was fairly nice and clean inside, they had really cute stuff as well. Most of the stuff I would not buy but I did see some wooden display boxes and acrylic boxes that caught my eyes. The acrylic was a good price, I bought a different one for $10 but here they have work it for about $4. I thought they would have more selections for beauty products but I'm guessing they might be restocking inventory later on in the day? I got a few items: matcha chocolate, black dry erase board & marker, & face scrub (which is pretty cool). The chocolate was expired but since it's only $1.50 I still ate it anyway, why return it and complain lol and seeing only one piece was expired. Overall, not really what I expected. Maybe if I'm in the area I'll stop by again but not anytime soon. read more

I love this place. Ever since I went to the one in SF, I'm a huge fan. The only thing wrong with this place is that the AC doesn't work so well with huge groups of people in the store. Located in a convenient shopping plaza with Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Starbucks, Baskin Robbins, Chipotle, etc. As most people have already pointed out, this store is like an Asian Dollar Store, comparable to Dollar Tree / 99 cent stores. But for some reason, I feel like the items are better/cooler because it came from japan....is this just me?? Most items are $1.50, unless otherwise marked. They also will remind you at the cash registers, in case you overlooked the sticker. All sales are final, no refunds or exchange. But hey, for a $1.50, doesn't hurt to try it out, right?? my favorite items to look at are all cute eating/cooking/kitchen-ware. its so easy to go in for 1 item in mind, but come out with a whole bag full of STUFF. you'll be telling yourself "I gotta get outta here before I pick up more stuff" halfway through the store. One of the worst Daiso Stores I've been to so far. There were a lot of empty space on the shelves. The store was messy and dirty. In addition, the customer service was terrible. The cashiers never smiles; not like Irvine and Chino Hills Daiso who always greets customers with smiles. The cashiers also never mentioned their no return and no exchange policy when I checked out. Awesome products, and products change every once in a while so it's nice to come by every nce in a while to check out what products they have. We get a lot of kitchen knick knacks for use in cooking and baking. Sometimes they have pretty good deals on pots, bowls, etc. read more
