Whenever I'm bored, you're more than likely to find me at this Grocery Outlet, looking for a deal. I will sometimes spend 40 mins or more in here because I found something interesting and looking up reviews for it at the spot. You're probably not going to find something with a long-shelf life, but thats the point. It's an outlet, that sells things at a discount. But mind you, some of the priced things are equivalent to those found at the normal grocery markets, so beware. The parking lot here is large and there's always plenty of parking, which is a big plus. However, I've had several negative experiences inside the store that make shopping here frustrating. One incident really bothered me: we came in with an empty Trader Joe's tote bag, and the Filipino lady with glasses made us put it on the bag rack--yet she didn't ask other customers behind us to do the same. It felt very unfair, almost like we were being singled out. When I brought it up, she said she "didn't know," even though others walked in with bags in plain sight. The manager did apologize on her behalf, but she never apologized herself. We shop here regularly, so I'm pretty sure she recognizes us, yet she continues to give us a hard time. As for the store itself, some deals sit for a long time and I'm not sure what their staple items actually are. The produce section is especially disappointing--many items are not fresh, and I've even seen moldy produce. I would not recommend buying produce here; the prices aren't cheaper enough to justify the quality. You really have to know your prices or you'll end up paying about the same as elsewhere. Most non-produce items are cheaper, though. They do have EV chargers in the back, which is nice for electric vehicle owners. But another issue is that I've come in specifically for sale items from their email ads, only to find different packaging or to be told they can't honor the advertised price. Associates often say they don't have the item or have never seen it. It makes me wonder if the marketing emails are just meant to draw customers in. There is a restroom available, but you do have to ask for a key. Can't deny a great deal nowadays. I'm pretty sure I stopped by this location at least 3 times this week. That's a luxury in my opinion have an abundance of grocery stores in a condensed area. I'm surprised that Grocery Outlet never has a full lot. I love coming here for such great deals on groceries and common house hold items. There is a different type of satisfaction when you're saving money and getting great deals. There is a wide variety products and new ones pretty often. I see it as a treasure hunt and what I might find on my next trip. Their selection has expanded over the years since they have opened. (I overheard he wasn't trained on it) Then an employee proceed to lie that they are too busy to do it and only certain people can do it and told me to come back on Monday... cmon it's Saturday. Came here because I received a gift card from a friend of mine. I purchased this chobani Greek yogurt but it's already expired. Checked out this location for the first time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Since I'm not used to this shop, they gave me guidance to find what I was looking for. The only downer is, they had brands I never heard of and since it's not stock like a regular store, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I did find some fun alternative. I will say I found a delicious Low sugar fruit preserve. Also, found some wonderful low sugar/keto/savory chocolate treat. I'm getting very discourage going to grocery outlet. We try To support our local grocery store but the past five times that I have gone there they have closed early. They always turn the sign off at least 30 minutes before closing and lock the door so you can't go in. Even when you can see them, they won't look at you to let you in. I work evenings so I rush to get to the store ( well before closing) which says closes at 10 and they won't let me in. Then Having to go to target or Ralph's After my long day of work. I'm going to keep it real: this is not my favorite Grocery Outlet store, rounding up from a 3.5 star place. If you know anything about the Valley Blvd. proper, you know that parking is always at a premium, and this GO is no exception-- a small lot shared with a bank, and nary an empty spot to be found at any given time. Ironically, the store itself has never been busy when I've visited, so it begs the question: where are all the people who parked those cars out there? Inside, the NOSH section is well-stocked with all sorts of things, and if you know the GO code, you already know that there are great bargains to be found here, provided you check the expiration and "best by" dates on products. With three kids at home, $4 for 60 granola bars is a steal, and so what if they expire in two months? They'll be gone in two weeks. The produce is fresh enough, but not the greatest selection at times. A savvy GO shopper can always find deals in the store, but if you come here with a varied shopping list expecting to find things you saw here a couple of weeks ago... you're gonna have a bad time. Instead of a shopping list, come with an open mind and an adventurous Yelp spirit, and you can easily fill a cart. Among my favorite sections: the hot sauces and marinades-- things that cost stupid money at chain supermarkets are pennies on the dollar here. Got a big freezer? Scrutinize the meat section, including the bacon, sausages, and of course the frozen food sections. Note the difference between "expires on," "sell by," and "best by" labels... they don't mean the same thing. I have all the bacon we'll need for every summer 2022 camping trip resting quietly at 0 degrees F in my chest freezer in the garage. I love this GO! It's one of the smaller stores but usually JAM Packed with goodies! You are always bound to find some goodies that are normally $$$ at Whole Foods/ Sprouts. Its always a nice surprise to see super clearanced prices on items that are near best buy / exp date if youre going to eat it soon enough / freeze it, then its a great deal. Since 2023, i notice prices of some items going up so not all items are a great deal /find. Not much to say on the employees, i don't need any help or expect any interaction or help. Would I come back? WOW the stuff here are cheap! But with cheap things, there is always a catch. Most of their items shelf life are expired or are going to expire. So be cautious when picking up items. You can either hit the jackpot or be disappointed because it was such a good deal. You will not believe how cheap the cereal is here. They have family sized, double and regular cereal ranging from $1-$3. Ice cream that is $6 regular priced at $2 (Halo Top and So Delicious). Their produce is really cheap too. Although it looks fresh, I was iffy about picking it up. They had 3 pound bags of granny smith apples for $1.50! Bananas are the only thing I get from that section since they are 39 cents a pound. I'm sure they switch up their stock whenever they have new items coming in, since each store is different and carries different items. But make sure each time you pick up a item to check the expiration date! Other notable items: Naked juice $1 Nature valley protein bars (30 pack) $6 Various protein bars 50 cents each Bugles chips 50 cents each Keebler peanut butter sandwich crackers (8 pack) $1.50 It's worth a shot to come and check this place out since you won't know what kind of goodies you will find. read more

Cheap cheap cheap. Grocery Outlet is exactly what you think it is. There are items that seem to be trial products that never made it in the main markets or close to expiration. The main things you need to buy from grocery outlet are coffee, Himalayan salt and protein powder. They are cheaper than what I can see on Amazon. They often have coupons, like $5 off $15, or $5 off $20. Make sure you have a coupon. Also their flowers are cheap after an event, like Valentine's day or mother's day. We are talking about $5 for orchids when Traders Joe's would sell them for $13. The flower district prices without driving to downtown. read more

No sugar, no creamer, no option for any other stuff which I had to end up going twice to the market thar day ( different chain) seeks like Grocery Outlet isn't what it was before, it gets worse each time. I usually shop at a different Grocery Outlet location and this was my first time here. Overall it was good. It was clean, there was plenty of parking, and I felt that it had some new products that my regular store doesn't sell. I think the service is also better here. The one thing I don't like is the pinch point where the people entering have to walk past the 1st checkout aisle, so it is very cramped and easily blocked if someone's cart isn't perfectly to one side. There are other empty checkout aisles (normally only 1 is open), so it would be better if the 2nd aisle was used. This would also help with social distancing. read more

Hmmm... my first time here. I pass by this market almost everyday in my commute north and south of Rosemead Boulevard. Sure, I also drive up and down other major streets nearby. I finally set foot inside to see what they have to offer. Great prices is one! The only thing I advise is to look for expiration dates on its packages. I didn't realize this until I read other people's reviews. So, guess what? Everything I bought was fine. My milk is in ten days (normal), my tangerine juice is in about a couple weeks (reasonable), but a little disappointed on my box of granola bars... expires in ten days. Usually packages of non-perishable items has an expiration date of a year or more. So real proof of possibly closeout items from the distributor or another retailer. Anyhow, what I stated is only a small sample of what the store sells. No need to have grief about it as most items (perishables) are fresh because I always look for expiration dates on those. Package goods, canned goods, I admit that I tend to overlook and not check. So for my box of granola bars, I'll probably finish in less than a week. For my milk, a week of consumption is about right, and my juice is about a week also. Just don't buy at a bulk like we tend to do and you'll be fine. The market is clean and very organized. My new favorite grocery store! This place makes me feel so damn good about myself because they show me the amount I'm saving by going here vs a normal grocery store. Like other people have mentioned, watch out for their expiration dates for their boxed foods! Their produce honestly looked fresher than produce I've seen at other markets. And at a fraction of the price! Too bad they didn't have avocados the few times I went, but since they swap out stuff pretty often - maybe they'll have it sometime soon? The best thing I come here for is their charcuterie selection!! Their cheese assortment is absolutely amazing and you don't feel bad grabbing a bunch of different gourmet cheeses. They even have that cranberry goat cheese spread (trust me this is the BEST thing you'll ever taste). Salami and meat selection is plentiful and you could find great crackers in their organic/healthy section. Speaking of organic, they have cheap KOMBUCHA, ORGANIC SNACKS, COCONUT WATER and all the other fancy hippie stuff that usually costs an arm and a leg to purchase. read more

This review is mainly towards the service and management of the store. I have no problem here picking out my groceries and no problem with the quality or prices of items, but being a honest customer who shops here most of the time, I think management should improve. Cashiers should be open more(customers wait too long with one cashier), they should bring back more stamp cards(was told by blonde hair lady they have no more), and plastic bags for produce (the cheap not really durable ones) are couple cents each. She took and removed my used bag holding carrots?? So that bag is going to be reused?? So why not just give it to customers for free when you are already charging money for the durable ones? First and foremost, when I first signed up in January, the employee said they ran out of the stamp card. So how am I supposed to get my rewards if I don't have anything to show them when I am there to shop?? Today I was with my friend again, and the cashier Alex is very mean. No public relation/people's skills. She doesn't know how to speak to customers. It's like she came from the ? She is also saying how my friend cannot use her stamp card more than once. She is only allowed to use her stamp card once a day. So if she forget to buy something the first time and decided to come back a few hours later, she can not use that same stamp card anymore??!? I would understand if a different person is using it. But come on, she should still be allowed to use her stamp card again. I think it is just fair if there is a $10-15 limit to get a stamp on the card and be allowed to get stamps over and over for that day. I feel sorry for all the customers who had to go through her. Imagine, if she can talk to my friend and I the way she does, what more of the homeless people? If I was a mystery shopper, I'd give her a half star, maybe not even. Very rude. read more

I don't even know where to start telling you how great this location is. I've been shopping at this store for about 3 years now. First - Brittany is AmaZing. So sweet and so nice. She always orders the best stuff (when available on her order guide). I'll give her a call and she lets me know if/ when it's coming in/ best day to be there. I've been able to try products I wouldn't normally allow myself to buy. Prices here compared to Whole Foods or Sprouts, some are really great-but because it is an outlet they will not always have your favourites. If you see something you like buy as much as you can right then and there! Check expiration dates of course. I have gone back next day and the product was sold out. Big bummer. But I learned my lesson. Regarding (organic) produce- some good prices to check out- just make sure to eat it right away. Some items (salad, packaged veggies) are marked down (with an orange sticker) to sell asap for like $1.00 or something really low. Again eat / freeze it quickly. Plenty of parking. Shared with a bank, electric car chargers in back. For some fantastic reason whenever I go (except for once) I get the spot in the shade. Store is clean and organized. They also have seasonal decor, garden items, housewares, shampoo, etc. Key for bathroom is at the registers (if it's open now during this pandemic). I am bargain shopper and like this place a lot but there's one big caviar. This Grocery Outlet replace Fresh and Easy and I don't miss it all. The only thing that motivate me goes to Fresh and Easy is their closeout deal about to expire, without coupon and closeout is general overpriced. Grocey Outlet is basically closeout deal almost entire stores. The good thing is not everything is about to expire, about 10% of products are about to expire in days and one item (the vegetarian bowl is been expire since sept which is 3 months ago) I has to reduce a star because is simply not a way to do business when you put item that expire 3 months ago. They occasion send out email coupon fro $5 off which make it even better deal, they had some very good quality that are healthy and organic for bargain price and is even cheaper than Costco price and you don't need to buy a bulk but again you has to do research and check the expire date.
