This was my first time straying from my normal salon but had some chipped gel nails and wanted to fix for the 4th weekend. My aunt and cousins went the day before and had a great experience so I figured I'd try. I made an appointment and was actually taken the same time of the appointment. I'm used to waiting 15-20 mins. I had a younger guy, I think his name was Jay. He was amazing!!! The best pedicure! He was thorough and had a great massage with hot stones and towels included. Then I switched to a dip manicure instead of gel and they look amazing and exact shape I wanted. This place is new from the looks of it and kept very clean. Highly recommend ! read more

I arrived around opening (9am) on a Friday in July when 2 other salons in the area turned me away. Luxy's staff was by far the friendliest. They werent incredibly busy and took me right away for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The older gentleman who provided the services was so kind. The salon was clean and modern. Everyone was very nice. However the technician I had just didn't execute what I wanted. I was very clear even when making the appointment that I do UV gel, I asked and confirmed that I could get that. But once I was in the salon the tech could only do the ombré look I wanted with acrylics. PS I get this all the time with gel color. The ombre color came out nice, my nails are way too thick, and I requested them to be filed multiple times. The woman working on me was very nice and really tried her best. So if you need a fill just make it clear what type you want and keep your designs simple. Very clean, very nice, just not the level of skill I was hoping for. read more

The lady was going to automatically do gel polish and i told her i didn't want gel. She then was like oh but gel is more better and it lasts longer and i said i cant because its bad for my skin (i have eczema). So then she was going my nails and she did a good job for the most part until it came to painting, my toe polish was messy and she didn't care and then she painted my tips and I notices that it looked weird and I told her it looked bumpy, streaky and too thick and she said thats why you should've done gel and took me to dry my nails. SO DID SHE NOT CARE THAT IT WAS STREAKY BECAUSE IT WASN'T GEL?! So I was drying and i was pissed af, then another guy in the salon came over to me and asked if everything was okay and I told him what was wrong. He told the lady who did my nails and she put her glasses on after the fact that she did my nails which explains a lot. Then the guy helped me and repainted my tips and cleaned the polish on my toes, and it looked way better, but the polish was still a little streaky. You can see how its streaky if u zoom into the toes pic. She also didn't fully cover most of my nails with acrylic, i got it done on about 3 days ago and it looks like i need a filling! read more
