Moving from another city with a young child was a big step for us. It felt overwhelming, but we were comforted by Anju, the owner of The Goddard School. She was incredibly kind and patient, understanding our family's needs. The transition was made so seamless and welcoming for us. Right from the beginning, even before our child started school, Anju made sure we had all necessary documents, giving us ample time and accommodating our busy schedule. About the school and its activities: The team is fantastic, and the teachers are well-educated. There are tons of activities, all following a curriculum-oriented approach. We receive daily updates on books read (in case we want to share them at home), songs sung, circle time, outdoor play, and fun indoor activities when the weather doesn't allow outside time. Activities range widely--baking bread, painting, dancing, creative play, and so much more. With these daily updates, we feel connected and well-informed about our child's day. This school is a very happy place filled with positive reinforcements and encouragement, and our daughter had a wonderful time here. We will miss the school and only wish we didn't live so far away. Hence, I highly recommend this school for any parent looking for a supportive environment that promotes overall development for their child. Thank you so much, Anju and the entire team! And a special thanks for Andrea and Vaidehi (Class teachers of Parrots)!!

Most importantly, the kids really look forward to going! Here are the things we love most about Diablo hills country school: - flexible hours and reasonable pricing - incredible outdoor play area for the kids - kind teachers and communicative administration - so many fun and enriching activities - we also really like that it's family owned with a long history in the area.. that's hard to find these days.

When we were looking for a…read morepreschool, we wanted a safe place where she could flourish creatively while also building the academic foundation she would need for kindergarten. We visited many other schools, but none of them made us feel like our child's happiness and safety were truly the priority. Many were Montessori programs with rigid classroom settings and rules that we felt were unnecessary for kids at this age. The family-run team at DHCS has always made us feel like partners in raising our daughter. Communication has been great and it's clear they really know each child individually. They've been flexible with schedule changes and even welcomed us back without requiring re-enrollment when we briefly tried a school closer to home after our second child was born. We continue to do the 30-minute drive each way because of how much benefit we've seen this school provide to our daughter. Over the years we've seen our daughter become more confident, social, and excited about learning, which has been wonderful to watch. They teach the kids about different holidays and cultures and always find a reason to celebrate. We also really appreciate how diverse the student body and teachers are, which helps create a welcoming environment where kids are exposed to many different backgrounds. They're not the cheapest school and not the most expensive, but for us it has absolutely been worth it. Every concern or piece of feedback we've provided has always been taken with great care and met with a professional, non-defensive attitude. A huge added bonus is the location -- the police station is right next door, which gives us extra peace of mind as parents. They also have a giant playground with all kinds of outdoor activities for the kids, and they strongly encourage outside play. The only downside is that they don't have a third location in Castro Valley or Hayward. One can dream... hint hint, Miss Angie and Miss Coco :)

He can write from 1-50, knows quite a bit of Spanish, "reads" to the other kids and has learned so much more than I could've anticipated. He's an outgoing child and likes to goof around. The teachers give him space to be silly and can also authoritatively but compassionately reign him in. I know he'll be more than prepared for Kindergarten. The teachers also plan family events throughout the year such as Mothers and Fathers Day celebrations, concerts, grandparents day, and student birthday celebrations. They incorporate many days where the kids can bring items from home to share (such as hike day at school, bring your favorite book, etc.). Our son is always excited for these days. The location of the school is very convenient for our family. It's near 680 but not so close that you hear it. It's across the street from an area with swim lessons, gymnastics lessons, and indoor soccer, so our son always says "hi" to his school when we're going to activities there. Tuition is very comparable to other preschools, but this school offers helpful drop-off and pick-up times for two working parents. Not many preschools in the area offer the same times.

Long story short, after 4 months, more than 2/3 of her behavioral items, such as tantrum, difficulty in listening instructions, sharing with friends, etc, have been fixed and I can tell that even at our home. Our daughter loves her school, and is happy to go there everyday. The director Ms. Annagi has almost 40 years of experience in Montessori education. Other teachers (Ms. Yessania, Ms. Laxmi, Ms. Evelyn) are also very experienced. They know how to deal with problems of kids, and they guide kids to the right path without yelling or being frustrated. I saw that their tone of voice was calm but had discipline and charisma. Teachers are very communicative and always opened to discuss issues of children. If there's any issue, they give brief verbal report with advice when I pick her up. Also, the education of TRIMONT is well-balanced and well-organized. They give the monthly schedule filled with daily themes and focuses, and follow the schedule accordingly. Of course since it's Montessori school, each student learns by their own pace when it comes to phonics, math and other Montessori work, but they all learn various topics together which covers science, culture, art, geography, season, etc. Our 4.5 year old daughter already reads Kindergarten-level books, recognizes and writes numbers from 1-50, can even complete addition and subtraction. When we had a private conference before Thanksgiving holidays, they gave us a thorough assessment sheet about our daughter. We could easily understand her status and things she needs to learn more until Kindergarten. I'm very satisfied with TRIMONT, and would definitely recommend this school to others in area.

Our son got to play and explore and create art and dance to his heart's content. He was ALWAYS happy at pick up. And, the amount of outside time he got was incredible. The 1s Room had a protected play area with a play structure, play houses, cars, and a sand box. He would also want me to stay to play with him at pick up, and that's how I had a chance to get to know Mr. Aaron and Ms. Keke so well. They are both kind, loving, generous adults -- anyone would be lucky to have their child cared for by them. When our son transitioned into the 2s Room, he had a hard time. The school's Director (Ms. Jill), along with Ms. Keke and Mr. Aaron, did everything that they could to smooth out his transition to his new teacher. They communicated with us at drop off and pick up and helped us support him from home. Tons of enriching activities, water play (on hop days), and outside time instilled our son with confidence and great social skills. We are grateful for his time at TCDS.
