This review is based solely on professionalism. If I could give the grooming department negative…read morestars, I would. My dog has been groomed at various Petco locations for years. Yesterday, I made an appointment for a bath and haircut and included a note explaining that he has a medical condition, along with the name of his veterinary clinic. Shortly after, I received a text from an employee stating, "That sounds very sketchy," and that they would rather not groom my dog in his condition. I immediately called and spoke with the grooming manager. I explained that I had no problem providing a note from my vet and that I understood Petco has policies they must follow. That's exactly why I was willing to provide additional documentation. Instead of calling me to gather more information--such as what medication he takes for congestive heart failure--they simply labeled the situation as "sketchy" and said grooming can be stressful for dogs. Every groomer who has worked with my dog in the past has treated him well and never had an issue. I canceled my appointment and found another establishment that was willing to listen and handle the situation professionally

My Green cheek can no longer walk, he's dragging himself, looks thinner. I'm upset they didn't call me to let me know he wasn't doing well. The cage lining had also not been changed, it was the same liner I left them with and 5 days later they didn't even change it. I called them and asked them when I got home and they said they do change it, but they didn't!!! It was the exact same newspaper I had put down for them when I left them. They obviously don't care and probably kept them locked in a back room without tending to them, do not leave your pets here especially birds. My husband and I both called to speak to a manager and they ten called my phone to give me the "managers" phone number but they started reading back to me my husbands phone number but told me it was the managers phone number... I don't know what going on over there but definitely not going back. *** update, my bird died that day after picking it up from boarding. They said he started showing signs of illness on Sunday but they never called me to let me know. I would have picked it up and taken it to the vet. My bird was only home for 4 hours before it passed :/

Like the other locations, service is friendly and they are always full stocked. Our pup loves the food and we get compliments on his coat all the time. This review does not apply just to one store, rather the product itself. I have three dogs who…read morewon't eat anything for more than a day. I have tried a multitude of products from Pet Smart, Pet Co, and a number of smaller individual stores. After one or two tries they stop eating. I tried JFFD after trying The Farmer's Dog without success and pricing the other high end dog foods online. As to Farmer's it was annoying to have to defrost the food every day for the next day's feeding and it was particularly messy to remove the food from the package. As a result, when looking at the JFFD's I chose to ignore the frozen product and opted for the small 12.5 oz boxes. These are especially useful if you travel since all you do is open the box and pour it in the dish. The downside is that it is expensive especially if you have multiple dogs like me. When I tried to place the order over the phone it came to about $600.00 a month which was just too much. However, when I went into a local store the result was different. First, as to the individual boxes, what they tried to get me to order over the phone was overkill. I just didn't need that much. The clerk was surprised at the food that was suggested and the cost. However, I also discovered that you could buy the product in 10LB boxes or 25lb boxes. While not a cheap as it would appear at first, there is a substantial savings. Ordering the 25Lb box, you have to divide it in packets for later use but once frozen it lasts up to a year. So, you would just take out one packet a day to serve. The individual boxes have 12.5 ounces of food. A 25lb box thus has 400 ounces to a box and thus 32 12.5-ounce portions for $158.95 if you buy all beef. That comes to a little under $5.00 a box which is substantially less than purchasing individual boxes at 6.99 to 8.99 depending on what you buy. This makes the food much more affordable. More importantly though, my dogs now eat all their food. I use two boxes in the morning (I have not bought the larger box yet since I am traveling) and then supplement it with one box later in the evening. I divide the three boxes between the three dogs and by nightfall all is gone. That is a first. With the other foods sometimes, the food would remain untouched all day. I saw an Instagram post that said the person's dog would eat anything until there was a pill in it, then he became Gordon Ramsey. Mine are the opposite. They will eat nothing unless they truly like it. (Including treats which they will not eat at all no matter what I try except for Pup Peroni). So, all in all, give this food a try if you're having a problem with your dogs. I avoid the Chicken and Turkey or any of the varieties that have either one because all of my dogs cannot eat poultry. I stick with the Lamb, pork or Beef and supplement it with the Joint food. None of those have chicken or turkey. The point is no matter what your dog eats, there is something here they will enjoy. The picture shows the ones I buy that have no poultry. You just open and pour in the dish.

So I had to guid myself to the section and still very lost I asked the woman with glasses for help ! She was very helpful and so kind I remember her the last time I visited she was the main reason why I returned to this location. She helped with the booties, flea spray ,and collar. Yet when checking out I got stuck with the rude supervisor with NO enthusiasm to help. I returned today 5/30 because the booties didn't fit my dog I was helped by JENN who made me give her my items and receipt then told me to GO get the things myself. Returning to the register I told her they didn't have the boot size I needed she then went looking for it herself (what was the point of telling me to go?) she returned said they can only approve store credit ,I asked if they can order them she says NO her supervisor (same as yesterday) circles something on the receipt and walks away she then says only way is store credit. I told her to show me the policy that says the item can't be returned. That's when the supervisor steps in again and "approves" it. What's the whole back and forth ? Yes and no? Last time I checked this is a dog store and should NOT be this complicated to return or exchange something. I WILL NOT be returning to this store again . Seems like the only support I got was from the sweet girl with the glasses.

I've been coming here to get food for my cats, and they have pretty much everything I look for, including options that can be surprisingly hard to find at other pet stores. One of my favorite things is that they often have great deals on the weekends, which is always a bonus. And after trying what feels like 20 different types of litter, I finally found one that I absolutely love, and they carry it! That alone makes me very happy.

We made it back to the car and then realized that the person at the counter failed to give us our discount. So we had to go back inside and we both nearly had a heat stroke. At that point I just wanted to escape and forget about getting the money back from the discount. I've been coming to this location for years and the service is always pretty good. I guess it is just an off day with a broken air conditioner. But I was told that it had been broken for a few days. I feel like this must be some sort of Labor violation because the heat in there is so overwhelming. Now I'm wondering if the canned food that I bought is safe to feed my dog since it's been sitting in sauna like temperatures for days.
