Stopped in to price check dog food and treats but didn't end up buying anything. They have free parking in the back, always a plus ;) They sell a variety of dog and cat foods (frozen raw & frozen fresh options too!) and treats as well as a good selection of pet vitamins. There are pet toys, shampoos and grooming supplies and the staff was friendly. I found that they were overpriced on the particular items I was shopping for (Frozen Raw sliders for my dog as well as a specific type of kibble). Each of the bags were $3- $5 over the price I pay at another pet store (which I won't mention). Cool store with a good selection but a bit over priced. read more

Um, today was life changing. Our pittie angel was on the verge of the end times (seemingly) UNTIL, that is, we came in and saw our dream-come-true holistic veterinary-nutritionist and herbalist, Marc. Woweeeeeee. Not only was he the most humble and beautiful human being-- his knowledge is v a s t. As an author, I am a research queen and this man blew my dang mind. I thought I had been finding exactly what Luna needed, but nope, there were a whole bunch of things that my protocol was missing. I was so delighted to be educated and find out what to now begin doing to help reverse what has been life threatening for her. The sheer array of products was stunning. I was completely dazzled and blown away by the breadth of his stock and offerings for robust homeostatic health. And best of all-- it was way more cost effective than everywhere else we had been going. And we have gone everywhere in LA for babygirl to get what she needs. Even the toys are so much safer/healthier/more durable than we have found everywhere else, not to mention half the price(!) When you have a consultation with Marc, you are getting the information no other vet will tell you-- which could cost your dog's life, as it nearly did with us at our vet in Boyle Heights. Never again will we trust someone who is not a holistic veterinary-nutritionist/herbalist or who is Marc, basically. You would think after a pandemic that all doctors would be far more honest in helping people understand the necessity of fortifying immunity, but the opposite has happened. Complete joke. The workers there are extremely rude, constantly smell like weed and dont even know their own product. If you have a question of any kind they have to text the owner and he sends an answer with almost no explanation. Just a completely off-putting experience with a staff th at in no way shape or form should be running that store. read more

I have to tell people that do not know Marc how great he is. My dog Ziggy is now 10 years old, I met Marc when Ziggy was 4 months old . Ziggy has been eating his cooked food his whole life. You will not find a better person than Marc. He really cares about your pets. You can text him and He will arrange a time to meet with you and talk about your pets needs. No charge and He has everything in his store but he won't make you buy it from him. Of course though why wouldn't you!!! Just the other day I was walking Ziggy all the sudden he started shaking his back leg and couldn't walk. My husband ran and got the car and we took him to his vet. Since its covid and I wouldn't go into the vet office they came and got him. While I was waiting I texted Marc told him what happened and received a text immediately from Marc with 2 words bee sting... right after that vet came out and said possible ACL tear and gave me meds $170 total bill. Got home and Ziggy jumped out of car , ran in the house and started playing. I walked up to the place where Ziggy started acting crazy and sure enough need everywhere. So do I think Marc is better than a vet? Yes there has been many times he has proven to be better. For major things of course see a vet. read more

Marc Ching saved one of my dog's from having to be on lifelong steroids the vet wanted to prescribe her for a problem that was completely resolved by changing her diet and nutrition plan. This spot is a life-changer if you have a picky pet who requires great attention. I have a teacup maltipoo whose feeding I've struggled with since I've received her. I tried a handful of different brands of kibble that were recommended by her vet as well as the breeder, all of which my pup didn't respond well to. She further developed some issues with itching and biting her paws which her vet shrugged off as part of the puppy process. I reached out to Petstaurant and spoke with Maddie who was immediately helpful in describing the products at the location. She then connected me with Marc Ching, the onsite nutritionist which was able to identify solutions to my dogs issues described above within minutes. Something that no one - not her vet, her breeder or trainer was able to do. Marc was also great and proactive by giving me his number, encouraging me to text with any questions and offering a follow up appointment. All of this by the way was free of charge and I never felt pressure to buy anything from them. My pup's whole demeaner has changed as a mom to a fur baby, I couldn't be happier to see her eating well and can definitely see a big change already! This pet store carries the only wet food my cat will eat and the only dry food. Staff is great and the customer service is wonderful. I've had food sent from another location to this one. They carry the higher end brands of pet food and all sorts of wonderful items for your fur baby. There are items I've only seen at The Petstaurant. They're always stocked with what I need and can get if it's not in stock. Store is clean. They have parking in the back or on the street. read more

Saw this store replaced the old smoke shop and cellular store, so I walked over with my doggo to check it out and buy him a treat. Very friendly store associates! They talked me through some of the products and benefits. I already feed my dog limited ingredient kibble but I wanted to augment with something special for him. They have their own recipe of cooked and raw foods. We went with the cooked bison and brown rice. He also sniffed out some Real Meat brand lamb & liver jerky over all the other goodies, so we got those too! Reasonably priced. They're off to a good start! Glad to have them nearby. read more

Marc Ching the owner who will diagnose your dog for free and give you recommendations for your dog is a godsend. I just spent 6 months at the local dog allergist and spent $$$$$ for nothing. They not only made my dog sicker he was never diagnosed or healed just filling him with steroids. After they wanted to continue to charge me $$$$$ for another useless treatment I just couldn't go there any more. I started researching dogs with severe skin allergies which lead me to this store. I was able to get Marc to diagnose my dog and I completely changed his diet to free range proteins with non starchy dry food along with probiotics and a cleanse pill and allergy pill and his skin is not red and he is not itching. It is a miracle. I was told my dog would be on shots for the rest of his life before which seemed crazy as my dog is 1 year old. I would highly recommend going to this store if your dog has any kind of illness. The food supply especially for dogs is filled with antibiotics which is poison for dogs. read more
