I love coming here to wash my girls! I have two goldendoodles and try to get in here as early as possible to wash them right after a Costco trip. For $20 they provide you with a stainless steel wash bay, pressured water, shampoo and conditioner, dry shampoo, towels, an a blow drier! This place doesn't respect your business. I arrived at 7:02 pm and there was still customers in there and I was trying to just purchased a bag of dog food. This was nothing more than a one item transaction and shared that with the person who was speaking through the crack door. They did not remotely cooperate with me to allow me to get food for my pet. The associate said that there is no cash in the register and I wasn't trying to make a cash transaction. I get wanting to leave after a long day of work and I take accountability for arriving at 7'02. With a customer at the door who simply wants to purchase just one thing and not use a cash transaction, you should at least try to accommodate them. Do not recommend. read more

I want to give a shout‑out to this store and the cashier/manager on duty. There was an incident where a dog got out of a training kennel and tried to bite my dog. He handled everything calmly, didn't overreact, got the other dog put away quickly, and then came over to make sure my dog and I were okay. He even offered additional help and services. Customer service. I just left there and there was only one person working and I asked for help. The guy that was working there was very rude instead of helping me after I ask for help he got another customer involved and he started cursing me out. But if the person that was working there had some balls and did his job and walked away instead of getting a customer involved this would've never happened. He was over there talking with a customer by the dog washing putting on some gloves to wash out the sink instead of helping me another customer that was patiently he told us that was part of his job. I said would've customer come first than the sink his remarks was you just have to be patient after standing there for minute if this is what most of these stores about I rather order off Amazon. This is a review for the mobile vet clinic or VETCO. First off if you are that skilled as a veterinarian you will have a clinic and not roam around. Second there is no consistency and logic how they setup appointments. Made an appointment for a 12 week 2 day old puppy and they don't vaccinate the pet if they haven't been with you less than 7 days!!! Really what difference does 5 vs 7 days make !? We have the previous vaccine records and clearly the puppy is ready for their 12 week shots ! Fine if that's your unscientific requirement make your forms and making appointments more streamlined!!! Put a few more questions in there so it doesn't allow people to make appointments and waste their time. This isn't middle of nowhere America we all have busy lives and respecting one's time isn't a skill this vet clinic has ! Do yourselves a favor and go to a real vet for vaccinations ! read more

Loved this fancy PetCo! I'll say the in-store customer service is pretty bad. Nobody has ever asked if I need help, and the young employees have ignored my presence to continue their conversation with each other, and continued even when helping me check out. But the selection of higher-quality cat food is amazing and keeps me coming back. They sell all the high-end brands found at PetCo or PetSmart in addition to even higher-end brands like Weruva, Orijen. Love that they carry so many flavors and varieties for each brand too. I've even found cheaper dupes for my cats' favorite Solid Gold wet food cans that around almost half the price, and the ingredients are pretty much the same! Worth a visit if you have some extra $$ to spend on your pet. I've noticed a drastic improvement in my kitties fur softness since moving them to the Orijen regional red dry food. read more

This place is ok for a quick wash for my dog. For $15 they provide you with the tub, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, scrubber, 2 towels. The shampoo and conditioner is extremely watered down so I bring my own. Price seems to go up, when I first started going here is was $10. If it wasn't for the tub which is more comfortable for my dog I wouldn't continue going here because that's all that's useful in the equipment provided. read more

It's pretty bull that all the sudden their return policy is "we don't know when you can return it" At least set a date so I don't have to remember to call you every week or come by to find out if I can finally return my items. And by the way, here is just another reason why Amazon is taking over the world because companies like this can't perform the same, but Amazon is still returning items so apparently it's possible. I can tell you that when I finally do return these items I will not come back into the store or another branch. The Amazon bookstore just a mile away is accepting In person returns, they probably take a few hundred per day. Your store cannot tell me that you're taking returns per day. UPS and fed ex are also taking returns and packages, in person. You guys will not make it the next few years because you cannot perform in the same way that other businesses are performing above you. Just had a one on one training with the lovely Cynthia! My little furball Mamba is almost 7 months and I thought I'd take advantage of the $25 offer they have at the moment. This is my go-to pet store location because it's right down the street from where I live and everyone is really friendly! Of course, I was a little prideful asking for help but when I have a giant in the making that already is half my weight I should probably get this under control the sooner the better...so I booked it! Cynthia was super welcoming and genuine. SOOO easy to get along with. Our session started at 12, she wanted to wait a little to let the sanitizer on the floor dry up before starting our class so I super appreciated that. She started with open ended questions, just getting to know me and Mamba and our backstory. Asked what we were struggling with and what our focus was for that time. Not sure if this is part of it but I saw a scale and was eager to weigh Mamba and she was more than happy to. We then talked about what I usually do and would then give me recommendations, I was ALL ears to what she had to say she is of course the expert! She then took the leash and started a few different trainings. The basic sit, lay down, come, and how to properly walk him (that's something we're working on). After 2 times she then gave me the leash and let me try and helped me out when I needed help. She had tons of training treats which was awesome but I brought some too feeling bad, didn't want them to use their whole supply on Mamba! After that we 'advanced' to walking up and down the store a few times. I tried once and she watched. She then did it and explained what she did and gave me another shot. We continued with a few more lessons like "what do we do when Mamba gets distracted with another dog?", apparently the answer is NOT panic. She was super patient and Mamba loved her! At the end we got a $25 off coupon for the next time we want to take a class which surprised me! I was so excited! I know that Mamba and I both need all the help we can get, we definitely want to come back again and take classes that are in a package deal. I was a little hesitant at first because of the price but after what I saw today I know it's worth it! Thanks so much Cynthia for the awesome training and lessons and for your warm personality. I love coming here. They always have just what my dogs need; food, toys, treats, etc. I love how it's so convenient that I can juts walk there. I know parking is tough since Costco is in the same lot but you can always park on the side streets. I love the bath because it's so easy to wash your dog without the mess at your home. They provide with towels, shampoo, conditioner, brush and If your dog has longer hair you can ask for a furminator. Overall, great store. read more

I was disappointed at how I was treated today by a staff member. I came in to exchange an item to a different size that I had purchased the same day, receipt in hand. First staff member couldn't figure out how to do the exchange so they switch spots. The next associate volunteered to help but also could not figure it out and in frustration told me to go to another store to figure it out for me. I ended paying for the item with the correct size and never able to exchange the item. They DID however keep the item I was trying to exchange. I LOVE THIS PLACE. The people who work here are kind and amazing. They are so sweet to your dog, as if yours is the only one they've seen that day! Every time I come here, they go out of their way to give my dog treats and pet her, making us feel special :) I've been coming to this Petco for about a year, specifically to wash my dog. At $10 per self wash, you really can't beat that value. I actually felt really bad when I would bring my Alaskan Malamute because he was a 96 pound fluffy beast and made a huge mess. Hair was everywhere, and when he shook, he left splatters all over the place. Not to mention, we went through extra shampoo and towels. But they never gave me a hard time about it! What an amazing group of people. I always make sure to try to clean up, and buy stuff at the store to support it. The store itself is really cute. It doesn't feel like your typical big box type pet store. It's smaller, but they have all the essentials. They carry a great selection of cat and dog food, toys, treats, and accessories. I love it! Well, I had him pull me 6 large bags which he brought to the front. During the whole time he had an attitude at which point upsets me. So I left. We talked about almost every brand in the store and he gave me the pros and cons of each while not being a typical salesman about his product which I respected a lot, I ended up going with Just Food for Dogs for a multitude of reasons, but mostly because of Matt and how much he seem to genuinely care about my dog Jimbo. Absolutely horrible customer service. Brian and Angie denied me service to wash my dog. I walked into the building at 5:30, when I was told over the phone that they take the last dog wash. There was a man in front of me in line, and by the time I got to the register after they had finished checking him out, it was 5:34. They denied me service to have my dog washed. When I rebutted with "I was here at 5:30? I was just waiting for the man in front of me to checkout" they literally said straight to my face (as the man walked out of the building) -- "there was no man in front of you". This is called gaslighting and it is horrific behavior to enact towards your loyal customers. I was truly dumbfounded. They were rude, dismissive and blatantly making things up to try to deny me service. Mind you, I work for the elderly and I CANNOT get off of work in time. I will always arrive exactly at 5:30 because I physically cannot get there in time. Angie and Brian have absolutely zero professionalism and it is a pretty terrible representation of the branch and company. Rude and mean for absolutely no reason. I got a really nice leather leash that I've been looking for for a while and some organic chicken strips which my Bozley loves. Great service and can't wait to try the dog wash! This event occurred 2 years ago on Christmas Eve. I was waiting in line for the wash tub and my dog was attacked by a larger dog and bitten. The owner of the large dog was on the floor removing my dog from the mouth of his large dog. It was a horrible situation and the Petco Manager did not allow me to obtain information on the Pet Owner so that I can obtain some relief on the Emergency vet fees of $600.00. My pup is fine, but he suffered bites on his neck and the Petco Manager never did anything about it. read more

UPDATE: I hate to have to update this review because I really liked this location. I came to give my dog a bath at 7:45 tonight.. Drove the 30 minutes to get here and was told that the bath area closed "20 minutes ago." I was here 7 days ago and was bathing my pup until at least 8:15/8:30 and shortly before I left 3 other dog owners had bought and paid for baths.. Well after the 7:30 "closing time." There is no signage that says that somehow the bath area closes an hour and a half before the store closes. The door only says that the store closes at 9 on weekdays. It would be prudent of this business to be upfront about bath hours and/or retrain staff to be consistent with it's hours as this mishap wouldn't have happened if the last time I was here they were turning people away from the bath area after 7:30. AND LEGITIMATELY AS I SIT IN THE PARKING LOT WRITING THIS REVIEW PARKED IN FRONT OF THE WINDOW TO THE BATH A PERSON WAS JUST LET IN TO WASH THEIR DOG. IT IS NOW 8pm.. PLEASE TELL ME WHY MYSELF AND MY DOG WERE TURNED AWAY 15 MINUTES AGO BECAUSE IT WAS "CLOSED" AND THIS GIRL IS NOW WASHING HER DOG. I'm pretty new to the area and have been searching for a good self-wash in MDR for months, but Unleashed never came up on my Yelp or google searches. Drove past it randomly one day and ended up bringing my dog the next day. I couldn't believe it was only $10! I came during the day and it was super clean and very empty. It's the first self-wash I've used that actually enables you to stand on either side of the tub, instead of being against the wall. It made it so much easier to clean and rinse him. Parking was terrible because all the Costco people steal the 20 minute parking meant for this store, so we had to walk all the way from the other side of the Costco lot. read more

It's funny that this store has been open for years and never have I set foot in it until now. Ended up here to pick up food for my 2 dogs. I really didn't feel like driving all the way to their bigger store on the other side of Culver City, so I ended up here. It's a smaller boutique-like store for pets. They have everything from toys to food, and even an on site grooming center. From my first time experience, It's definitely a help yourself kind of spot. Find what you need and you're on your way. Nothing like the bigger location on Sepulveda. Over there, there is more interaction between the customers and the workers. At Unleashed, there is a more laid back and relaxed vibe to the place. Prices are the same compared to the bigger store. Since this is a smaller store, there isn't a wide variety of things. It's perfect for those who know exactly what they want for their pets. The stalls are raised at an optimal height to allow you to wash your dog without having to constantly bend over and strain your back. There are even built-in adjustable risers to accommodate dogs of all sizes: from 2 lbs to +120 lbs or more! Everything you need is there. The staff refreshes each stall after each dog wash keeping the facility clean and sanitary. FYI- last time slot to wash is usually 1 1/2 before they close. The worker Daniel here was very rude about the pet wash station. It's usually $15 per token and I guess at this location, this wasn't the case. He chose to tell us after we already washed both dogs instead of when we paid initially for one (even though he clearly saw us with two dogs) and charged us an additional $15 after we were done washing. Paying the per dog wasn't my issue, it's how he chose to tell after after we'd already washed them and the poor attitude he had in doing so. Hope PetCo chooses better employees who know how to provide good customer service and just overall nicer human beings. read more

my order from this store never got delivered by doordash & when i went in to petco/unlished to cancel it, they were not able to cancel the order. I needed to contact doordash in order to do that. that took about 5-7 minutes of being on hold with doordash. also, they almost over charged me at the register for a medication that was on sale. I will never step foot n that store again. it's a reminder to me actually as to why i shop with chewy & amazon for all my pet & my needs. just absolute awful place to shop at. read more
