After returning home, she opened the bag and transferred the food into her dog food storage container, which is her normal routine. When she went to feed the dog the following day, the food had a strong rotten smell and was clearly spoiled. This raised serious concerns about the quality and safety of the product that was sold. Unfortunately, because she had already emptied the bag into the container, the original packaging was discarded. The very next day from purchasing food- I called the store to explain the situation, expecting a reasonable resolution given the circumstances and the obvious quality issue. Instead, I was told that nothing could be done because the bag was not available. This response was extremely disappointing, especially considering this situation involves defective pet food and an elderly customer. This is not simply a return issue -- it is a quality control and safety concern. Rotten pet food could make animals seriously ill, and the matter should be taken seriously.

They weren't available on Saturday 08/15, so we chose to go to Healthy Spot since they were close. The only slot they had available was the last one at the end of the day; when I showed up, they seemed extremely rushed and under pressure to finish the remaining dogs, but they assured me they had time and would take care of him. Within a few days after his bath and cut, Kenji Bear started scratching at his ears and whining. After noticing scabs from the scratching, I took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with a double ear infection. The vet's first question was whether he had been in water recently; he hadn't outside of the bath. She immediately confirmed this to be the cause of the ear infection and said she often sees this when inexperienced and/or careless groomers don't take the time to thoroughly dry dogs' ears after a bath. For the vet exam, ear cytology, medical cleaning, and medications, the bill was over $700! To add salt to the wound, the haircut was extremely uneven and choppy. I also paid extra for the Teeth Brushing and it clearly wasn't done. I used to take Kenji Bear to Healthy Spot as a puppy for daycare and thought I could trust them with his grooming, but I definitely WILL NOT be back after this horrible experience.

Off to the side is a section where the fur babies that are up for adoption reside in posh play pens with white picket fences. There is also a nice area on the rooftop where potential adopters can spend quality time with their future fur baby. The staff here are very friendly, and I got to meet one of the pups named Meatball as he was on his way out for a walk.
