Just another Great little taco shop in KCK. Daisy's serves a large but typical Mexican menu and opens at 6am for breakfast also. The shrimp taco I had was packed with hot and sauteed shrimp and onions and the Al Pastor tostada and taco were filled with savory and crispy edged meat. Topped with some crema, veggies and sauce and pickled side items from the condiment table made for a wonderful and inexpensive lunch for $7. Daisy's also has knocked a hole in the wall and opened an ice cream shop. I'm adding Daisy's to the taco crawl for co-workers next month!

Best place in KCK. Food is cooked fresh to order with a good array of salsa to choose from. Pastor and steak are fantastic. Breakfast burritos are the perfect size and never greasy. I stop by everytime I pass near it.

First off, do you really want good food? Or so you want to be trendy? Do want friendly staff or do you want an Instagram food picture? Daisy's is an amazing place, they are not trying to be something they aren't. It's basic but you're not paying for unnecessary things. The food is delicious. The tacos weren't the best I'd ever had but were very very very close. And for the price, I'd eat them every day. Price + taste = perfect! The salsas were extremely good with lots of flavor. (Separate area past soda machine) A key ingredient most places miss, flavor. Nice spicy pickled onions on there too. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. But what really makes this place beyond a typical, inexpensive taco joint is the ICE CREAM. Hand MADE! I just tried about 4 flavors and was blown away. Pistachio (loaded with nuts), lime, coconut (real coconut), Horchata flavored!?! SO many cool flavors. Ask to try them! If this ice cream was being served on the plaza, it would cost $10 for a small cup and people would line up for it and thank them. Follow flavor not trends. That new Mission taco joint that opened in the crossroads is 5.5 miles away. It's an imitation of what Daisy's really is. A 10 min drive for authentic and AFFORDABLE good food. The money doesn't go to a company, it goes to a family that is working their butts off. Try them!

Anytime a new Mexican restaurant opens in Armourdale, I'm always excited. Kansas avenue is ground zero for great authentic Mexican and pretty close to where I live and work. Went in around 6:30 on a Saturday night. Myself, and two other customers were there during the 10-15 minutes I waited for my food. The girl behind the counter was outgoing and extremely nice, and was going well out of her way to make sure everyone had what they needed. I ordered a couple tortas to go. They were $6.50 each, and came with fries, a lime wedge, and a beautifully blistered grilled jalapeño. I also picked up each of their 3 kinds of salsas and a baggie of pickled onion/jalapeños. All 3 salsas were fresh and tasty, running the gamut from the herbal and juicy tomatillo, to the habanero, which had a very pleasant lingering burn. The tortas were pretty good sized, and the barbacoa was cooked well but still extremely tender. They came with avocado, onion, tomato, and lettuce. Solid torta, especially considering all the accoutrements (fries, etc) that one usually pays extra for. Not in the running for best torta in KC, but solid nonetheless. All in all, a very pleasant and positive experience, and a good addition to KS Avenue. I'll be back.

Daisy's is another of my go-to places on Kansas Avenue which is replacing my Pancho's on Main addiction. Daisy's is convenient for me and their food is always good and piping hot. I just at here again the other day.

Broad selection of homemade ice cream, all of which tastes amazing and is the PERFECT amount of "frozen." Portions are VERY generous, especially for the cost. Quaint little place with very humble personnel.

I've eaten there for years, but one of my recent stops made me realize it's more than just the food. Please read on.... An immigrant showed me friendship in food, even though I was a stranger. The place was packed and the only open table was where the workers sit. I was by myself, but one of the restaurant workers came up with her lunch and gestured to me if she could sit at the table. I smiled and said "Si." I noticed she was eating birria tacos with consomme and it looked delicious. She saw me and laughed, said something in Spanish which I think translated into "Would you like some birria and consomme?" I nodded yes and she went back to the kitchen and returned with a small container. You can tell from the video the broth was rich, the birria was tender and fatty (but in the best way)! I tried to convey to her it was great and thank you. She asked me something in Spanish and I could only respond in a gringo "Que'?" I finally used Google Translate and she was asking if I worked nearby. I was dressed in my blue collar clothes! I used the App to tell her I drove in from my part of town and she smiled and laughed. I think she understood how much I loved eating at Don Antonios, because I would drive at least 25 minutes to eat there. If she only knew I'm there every week! This experience reinforced what I already knew. Immigrants are kind and caring people. Just like my grandparents when they arrived in America before WWII. I also know what my family and I have experienced when you don't look like the majority.... Just my two cents and a tip of the hat to an immigrant who showed me friendship in food, even though I was a stranger.

The food was made fresh, I've always wanted to try the barria taco but no one seems to offer anything but a beef option. And finally, I found a chicken one. It was Delish !! Now I couldn't dip in the au just because it was beef but I appreciate having the option. The Mexican rice was light and flavorful. The queso was good however it stiffened up pretty quickly, just in case you feel the anxiety of choosing between. Your appetizer and the main costs course. Over all, a great experience for a late afternoon lunch. Check out it when your craving tacos, I don't think you'll be disappointment.
