    Tamale

Omg the shrimp burrito are to die for and the tamales and number 1 plater are really delicious too. Best tiny Mexican food ever.

There tacos were amazing. They had delicious beef enchiladas and pork tamales. I love how they thinly slice the lettuce .

Had the shredded beef tacos and they were killer. Good prices on all their food and you can't beat a dollar fountain drink.

Love Daisys. Best burritos in Independence. Burrito Loco is my go to. It's worth the drive!

This is the best Mexican food around. Absolutely delicious. My kids will text me, BRING HOME DAISY'S at least once a week.

Great food, super fast, decent prices, and it is way too close to my house, which is making my waist band worried, but my tummy happy!

However it was also very empty there were no customers inside, I waited 5 minutes for staff to come up and to be greeted. Staff didn't seem too interested in taking my order. I ordered my burger, I got the number 11 Burger and it turned out pretty good. However the lady in front of me she just got a drink but she didn't pay for it which I thought was strange. My major con with this place is something that Whataburger possibly can't control but there's a lot of homeless around the building and a fellow came up by my vehicle when I took my bird into the car and tried pleading me for money but he was loitering around the Whataburger the whole time and when he went away as well as some other people in his situation, they all moved to the car wash next door and it kind of brings down wanting to eat here or go here either if you got these people just lingering around possibly becoming a Target. I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned that in their reviews, overall wouldn't recommend

My review is, for me, the burger, its not that good, its just not for me. My expectation was, they had the "IT FACTOR" for the burgers. Something you would have expected from the day, 60/70 years ago. The old larger bun, not biscuit size, grilled burger meat, mine seemed losely patted and steamed and more than pickle, onion and mustard. Maybe thats just the way its always been and others love it. Im glad I went but it is a one stop for me. I wish you another 70 years of continued service and a great icon of Independence, Mo.

The carhops came right up to our window to take our order and were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The menu is surprisingly large for such a small place. We ordered the Wiz Burger, chicken nuggets, tots, onion rings, fries, and Brown Cow root beer floats. Prices were very reasonable, which was a nice bonus. One thing I really loved was the option to order their homemade root beer in an ice-cold glass mug (which you return when you're done). It definitely adds to the nostalgic experience. Our favorite items were the crispy tater tots, the chicken nuggets (which were more like mini chicken strips), and the root beer floats. The Wiz Burger was definitely unique, but it wasn't a crowd-pleaser in our car. It's made with loose meat mixed with onions, pickles, and cheese, which may appeal to some but wasn't our favorite. I'd definitely go back to try the chicken sandwich, pork tenderloin, or spicy buffalo dog. The food itself might be closer to 3 stars, but the unique throwback nostalgia of the carhop era bumps the overall experience into 4-star territory. It's a must-try-at-least-once kind of place.

I seated myself without acknowledgment, I was given a bowl of chips without salsa and not told of the self serve sauce table - I figured that out after eating dry chips for a few minutes. I got nothing but shrugs when I questioned the food, was never given follow up service and I had to ask how to pay my bill and exit. It was one of the few times I wanted to leave $0 for a tip but I resisted and played nice. There was not a language barrier either to explain the lack of attention, my waitress spoke perfect English. As for the food; I ordered a zucchini and a cheese pupusa. The pupusas were grilled well and not too doughy with plenty of filling but the curtido or sad excuse for curtido absolutely proved to me that the back end didn't care just as much as the front end of the restaurant. They gave me a small bowl of freshly poured shredded cabbage out of a bag. I kid you not! No vinegar, no added onions or carrots... no cooking, no pickling, no aging; just shredded raw cabbage! The honorable nation of Guatemala should send an envoy to rip the Guatemalan flags off the walls so they are not associated with such an affront to Central American cuisine.
