It's clear from reading other reviews that this facility has problems with the scheduling staff behaving unprofessionally. ORIGINAL REVIEW: In all my life, I have never encountered such incompetence at a medical facility as I have at Dakota Radiology. I cannot speak to their actual physician practices because I'm still waiting for a mammogram appointment that they seem incapable of making come to fruition. I have a lump in my breast, and I received a referral from my GP to have a specific type of breast imaging done at Dakota Radiology. All I needed was for Dakota Radiology to book me an appointment. Seems simple, right, and like a basic task anyone with a modicum of professionalism might be able to perform? One would think so, yet they keep losing my records and giving me the runaround. It's been weeks since I received the referral from my GP, yet I still have no appointment with Dakota Radiology. On the multiple times I called to follow up with them, their blanket answer to everything was, "We're waiting on a message from . . . (insert random department or doctor that has no relevance to my case)." That's Dakota Radiology code for "We have no idea how to handle your atypical medical situation so we're just going to keep giving you the runaround in hopes that you go somewhere else." The icing on the cake was when the seemingly capable scheduler I'd finally gotten through to WENT ON MATERNITY LEAVE AND DIDN'T FORWARD MY INFORMATION TO ANYONE ELSE. She, in fact, didn't even tell me she was planning on leaving so that I could coordinate my treatment with another scheduler. Instead, she had me go through the rigmarole of forwarding her all my paperwork and then left me waiting for a callback that has yet to happen. You have to ask yourself: If this is how horribly they screw things up on a very basic records and scheduling level, how might they handle your medical care?

Also, you can't be asked to hold your breath and in that spit second (possibly on an exhale) you're told to hold your breath. Due to the amount of breast cancer I have in my family I would normally be afraid of getting called back in for a retake; yet, I wasn't surprised after knowing what should occur during a mammogram. Sadly, weeks later, I get a $500+ bill for the retake. The insurance company says it's the way Dakota Radiology coded the bill. This is a retake for preventative care. Is this what's wrong with healthcare in this country? Or is Dakota Radiology in the business of scaring woman to get another image "just Incase!" Unethical slime looking to cash in! Beware!!!!!

She finally said she was not comfortable with that as he could not examine her and could only see a little via the TV monitor. So this year the VA set her up here with Dr. Gomez. WHOW!! She got an almost two hour exam by him. He did various hands-on tests that neither of us had seen before. He discussed her most recent MRI and said he would send it to a Neurology Radiologist to make sure nothing got missed. WHOW. He also told her other things that could be causing her problems besides MS. He ordered a bunch of tests. Now we wait on the VA to get around to doing them. After the surgery they decided they were not accepting the settlement amount. So 8 months later I am on the hook with a large bill. My insurance tried to negotiate and that didn't work, so now I am stuck. I liked my doctor there, but this is crazy. Talking to some other people this is a common thing that they pull. So if you go there keep an eye out because you will end up in collections with no idea why even after having hit your deductible in full.
