This place is amazing!…read more We were visiting Estes Park and wanted to take home a piece of jewelry as a souvenir but all the ones I saw looked too tchotchke-ish, too generic, too boring, or something I could get back home or simply order online. I wanted something local and unique. My husband and I had lunch at Penelope's and was walking back to the car when the Village Goldsmith's jewelry displays caught my eye. Here was some unique jewelry representing Estes Park and RMNP. I ran inside and Karen helped us immediately. She said that the pieces I was interested in (rings with RMNP's mountain ranges) were designed and cast in house. And surprise surprise of COURSE the only one on display fit my hand perfectly. My husband insisted we buy it and I walked out with a lovely and memorable piece of jewelry. Not only was it special to the location, it was custom made, locally designed, and hand cast. It is very special and we spent all day taking photos of it next to the mountain ranges it represented HAHA. Thanks, Karen! However, I am not sure if they've changed clothing buyers or what but the clothing selection is so frumpy and everything is crocheted flowers. I have no idea what's happened to the inventory, but it is the most depressing outdated clothing.. I am not going to give the store a bad review because it is a wonderful place to shop. I just want to bring attention to the owners. It's rare to find good pieces up here in Estes and the drastic change, not only in clothing, but also in the reduction of jewelry is a little confusing to me. I hope they take a closer look at the items. They are stocking and make some changes!
