As a 40-year-old mom of three Who has always been in good shape but never quite been able to surf, I figured this would be a good place for me to start to learn. I was right. After speaking with me on the phone for a bit she paired me up with gonzo, who is frankly the best surfing instructor I could imagine. I am pretty picky about teachers because I feel like if I'm going to pay you you better know more than I do and be able to correct poor technique and show up on time and have a positive attitude - too much to ask? You wouldn't think so but you'd be surprised what some surfing set ups in the area give you for your money. This mama is satisfied with your experience and can recommend this business to others. There are two places to learn windsurfing in South Jersey. One is Extreme Windsurfing in Atlantic…read moreCity/Pleasantville and the other is H2 Windsurfing in the Seaside Heights area. My girlfriend and I took a couple of lessons at H2 Windsurfing, which was great and got us riding. Then, we rented boards at Extreme Windsurfing, which was also a great experience. The Lakes Bay location (Extreme Windsurfing), is ideal for riding. There is parking right at the beach and you can use Holiday Inn's restroom and outside showers. Jim the owner is very experienced and friendly. His side-kick Matt set up the boards and offered some helpful tips. Rental rates are reasonable and the equipment was in good condition. We will definitely go back to either location.

Crooks. Had a gift card to this place for the summer but due to circumstances out of my control I…read morewas not able to get to the shore as much this summer. There was an expiration date on the GC. Went into the business to ask for an extension so I can use the GC next summer and they said no. After explaining it is illegal to have an expiration on a GC the employees looked it up on the computer and found that we were correct. Harbor outfitters still refused to extend the GC knowing that what they did was illegal! I usually will visit this place several times during summer but I will not go there anymore. They have no problem with stealing money !

After getting the basic paddle board instructions you get to paddle down the marina out into the waterway for a trip to the next marina and back. It lasts for about an hour to complete if you take your time. Once back you can still goof around the Fish Alley marina. This is s good time for pictures.
