After speaking with me on the phone for a bit she paired me up with gonzo, who is frankly the best surfing instructor I could imagine. I am pretty picky about teachers because I feel like if I'm going to pay you you better know more than I do and be able to correct poor technique and show up on time and have a positive attitude - too much to ask? You wouldn't think so but you'd be surprised what some surfing set ups in the area give you for your money. This mama is satisfied with your experience and can recommend this business to others. It's never too late to start learning to surf! I know they do kids and stuff too but everyone does.

We decided to chance it anyway and see if the winds would die down. They did not. When we got there, we were told it was too windy and it wouldn't be much fun to struggle out there with the wind. We really appreciated the honesty of this business. They could have taken our money and let us struggle around on paddle boards on the bay for an hour, but they were straight forward with us. We previously had a bad experience in the Caribbean where the paddle board shop sent us out despite strong winds and we had a terrible time of it. These guys were far more interested in safety and making sure their clients enjoy their experience than simply taking their money. They even gave us free water in 90 degree heat for our troubles, which was very sweet of them. That's why I give them 5 stars despite not having been able to paddle board with them! p.s. For what it's worth, the group ahead of us who had managed to paddle board before the winds got bad seemed to have had a fabulous time!

After explaining it is illegal to have an expiration on a GC the employees looked it up on the computer and found that we were correct. They also added a lot more staff out there with you (That's good from a safety stand point but they keep you contained to a specific area and enforce rules haha) Previous visits we were able to ride from bridge to bridge ... It felt alot more open and free. This time around it was 1/4 the riding area and basically a large circle. Bummer, but what can ya do ? Safety is in these days. Btw my review from 5 years ago mentions the price as $85 for an hour with a passenger... this year was $118 ! Paying a lot more for a lesser experience. (inflations a bitch) Negatives aside, I still really enjoyed the experience and I look forward to stopping here again soon. It was a great time.

This time, they made sure that my son's flat tire was fixed. This was not even one of their bikes, it was a bike that I brought with us to the shore. I rented one of their bikes so I could ride with my son. All they cared about was that we had the best experience and enjoyed our vacation. They are very friendly and personable and they always want you to get the most out of being there for the week. I can't recommend this business any higher. If you're spending a week down the shore, be sure to rent from them and check in with them anytime something arises, they will always help you.

We continue (might be past tense after this visit as we think it's time to try Borgota if we ever…read morereturn to AC) to stay at the golden nugget mainly because of the location (we don't do the boardwalk) and this pool. This was my first trip back to AC since 2019 and this pool has seen better days. Our 3 days visiting were a mixed bag. The best server at the pool is Brenna, a sweetheart who sincerely loves her job. Otherwise it's loads of young kids (and even one older bartender on Tuesday that was rude and genuinely could give 0 you know what's) "working" (on their phones, huddled in the towel cabana). The best deal is the bucket of beers or hard seltzer, and the pita and vegetarian dip appetizer (our favorite). The ground on Monday morning was sticky and dirty and the water needed to be skimmed. However the strict no children after 2 pm rule was a god send (can we stop bringing children to AC?) and security is on it. This place is torn between no one caring about it and security upholding rules.

Rented 2 Kayaks for 3 days while we were staying in Ocean City. Dak's made the experience easy and hassle free. One call was all it took to arrange drop off at the beach. On the third day we happened upon the Daks folks at the bay where we were putting in for a little paddling, and rented a third kayak for two hours to accommodate a fifth member of our group, again a hassle free experience. All three boats were picked up at the bay two hours later. The staff at Daks was friendly and helpful, the equipment was in good shape and worked well. We had fun. Thanks. read more

First time to kayak and it was awesome! I went with my mom (in 70's) and daughter (17) on the eco tour. There was also a family with children (about 7 and 12). The entire experience was so smooth. The lady who arranged our tour was friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were given lessons which really helped me since I had never done this before. Our guides, Trevor and Shane, were outstanding. They were patient, helpful, funny, and knew a lot about the area. The price was good and there is a coupon available. We had a group of 8 and we took 4 double kayaks. The guys from DAKS were awesome in helping us with our 1st kayaking experience! We had such a great time and we can't wait to go kayaking again! Outing with family while on vacation. Easy to book over the phone, met us at the scheduled time and place (Corson's Inlet) with 2 double kayaks. They provided the life jackets, back rests, instructions for paddling and blister prevention, directions to potential sites to visit as well as places to avoid, placed the boat in the water and launched us. Fabulous! Our family rented a few kayaks from DAKS, and everyone had a blast taking turns going out into the ocean. They even delivered the kayaks, paddles, seats, etc right to where we were on the beach for FREE!! The people were friendly and very accommodating. We had a few people who had never kayaked before, and they took the time to explain the basics so we felt more comfortable going out. All in all, a wonderful experience. Rented a double kayak on a beautiful Monday morning! Everyone was super nice and helpful here, they gave us some great tips. Paid $45 for two hours (best price around town), which I thought was pretty reasonable. We chose not to do a tour because it was out of our price range. They sent us on the Beyonce (because every turn is to the left) route in the bay. We saw some wildlife and it was extremely peaceful on the water! Dave and his crew where wonderful for a Sunday morning family outing. We had seven people of all ages and everyone had a wonderful time. It was a last minute decision of Saturday afternoon and they easily accommodated us. We have all kayaked over the years but only on rivers. Dak's is great. Rented a 2 person Kayak and a paddle board. They gave us extra life preservers and when a oar broke immediately brought another. They even came down to the beach to collect them at the end of our 5 day rental. All the staff is super friendly. read more
