We ordered five yards of dirt. They told me it would be delivered the next day. There was a slight problem with the ticket and didnt get put in the delivery pile. I called and the delivery guy was gone for the day. But the Owner delivered it to keep his promise of the day of delivery. They went out of there way to provide me with my dirt no matter the hiccup. read more

I'm a licensed contractor for 40 years, and presently the on-site manager for a project on a combat wounded veteran's home in Harrison Twp. I ordered 5 yards of 21A delivered to the site on Saturday May 10th 2025. Your driver Rick arrived on his last load of the day in a already crappy mood. I showed him where I'd like the dump. He backed in and then got stuck trying to drive out. Called ME every name under the sun (can't post here,) but was hugely disrespectful to me personally. If he felt he couldn't pull out without being stuck he should have told me his truck didn't have 4 wheel drive. We had a backhoe on site that pulled him out however should have told us truck didn't have 4x4. This delivery WASN'T a donation, this combat wounded veteran paid for it in advance. Horrible company, rotten driver, disrespectful even after I got backhoe to pull him out. Worst company I have personally dealt with. Will NEVER use them again. Probably should have checked here for other people's comments before hiring them. read more

Ordered mulch for daughters playscape, was supposed to get a call from driver prior to delivery. Driver just showed up, dropped it where he wanted to and was disrespectful to my wife. When I called the company, they said it was our responsibility to hear the truck backing up. read more

ordered a lot of products from Dales in the last few weeks, and a few weeks ago, I ordered 3 1/2 Tons of Walnut Pebbles Rocks which I paid $637.46 for the rocks with delivery. Well they showed up at 8 am, right after I left to drop kids off at school, they dumped the rocks at the end of my driveway, and in my neighbors yard. Anyways after I started clearing the rocks away I noticed they cracked my driveway big time. The crack goes all the way to the street and the criss crosses to my yard, there was no cracks in my driveway before this. I called Dales and they said they r not responsible for personal property, and its the chance I take in having them deliver. read more

I ordered the 10 yard Rubber Wheeled Trailer from Dale's Landscaping to dispose of my 10 x 10 shed that I was tearing down and dispose of some other items. The ordering of the dumpster trailer was easy and the staff were very professional and courteous. The delivery of the dumpster trailer was completed as scheduled and picked up as scheduled. I ordered and had delivered 2 yards of top soil. It was delivered on time. I put the top soil where I needed in my backyard and the next day we had torrential rains, when everything dried up the dirt turned to sand. So obviously they put a lot of filler in the "clean top soil". I wont buy a bag of rocks from them, I wont refer them, I had neighbors come down and look at the area, they agreed it looked looked sand , they wont do business with them. A few years ago I purchased a home which needed major landscaping renovations. I used dales several times for things like dumpster rental (multiple times), mulch, soil, and brick.. I absolutely dread having to use this company. Not only are they rude and cocky but they act like you (the customer) is totally inconveniencing them. Every time I call or go in there I have a terrible experience. I always end up caving and using them for the mere fact that they are so close to me (5 minute drive) and when you are hauling brick or soil the drive becomes a factor. Plus their prices seem to be fairly decent. I would not recommend using them unless you are desperate. read more

Just this last Saturday 5/9/15, I purchased 1 ton of rock for the front of the house. I used my truck for pick up. The first trip was at 10 a.m., my wife and I unloaded and realized we could use another 1/2 ton. No problem, we'll get more. I walk into the office and the lady behind the counter who was very pleasant, was mentioning that I was just here and let me see if I can get you break from the retail pricing from the book. I guess the guy (driving a mini-me cadillac) she asked must have been a manager, not an owner, because his reply was "Nope, you should purchased it all at once" I said "really, this is how you treat a local customer, I was just in here about 1.5 hrs ago". That is CRAPPY / POOR business tactics. If this guy was part of the family who owns Dales, he should go to a business etiquette course, ask for mannerism classes as well. RESIST RESIST RESIST Doing any business with this place. I have to reiterate all of these reviews that I see hear. This happened at the end of season last year. My wife and I where waiting in line, not even helped yet, and their must have been a problem with the customers order at the desk because there was a lot of commotion at the desk and they, like the other review, were talking to the guy over the radio in the mini me caddy. LOL. Well apparently he decided to come in and "handle" the customer himself but instead went up one side of my wife, who was standing about 10 feet from me looking at something, and down the other before realizing that he was yelling at the wrong women. Upon this realization all she got was "wrong person" kind of under his breath and he moved on to the women in question. Which was a whole other story. I don't know why she didn't smack him. We got nothing even from the employee's behind the counter. We looked at each other and just walked out. P.J.
