They were always late to appointments and slow to respond to messages. When it came to design, they didn't offer any creative options or suggestions, which was disappointing. To make matters worse, they took on another job midway through mine, which meant they were going to take way too long to finish my project. When I expressed my frustration about the delays, the owner told me he didn't want to work with me anymore. Additionally, he showed up without the proper tools for the job and even had the audacity to ask me for my personal makeup brushes to complete the work! If you can handle terrible communication, frequent delays, a lack of creative input, and the risk of being dropped as a client, the work itself is solid--but for me, the hassle wasn't worth it. They gave me an appointment with the templetor who never show up the first day. He finally came the next day. I gave him all the information of the design with pictures, he never reported them to the office. After over a month of negotiation about the price and the sqft he gave me a delivery date in October 14th. I confirmed 2 days before everything was ok. Robert told me I need to change everything because my slab was not big enough. They couldn't do the backsplash. The first template was 69sqft, I didn't change anything. Now he announced me the total was 94sqft because of the edge I picked. It didn't make any sense. I accepted the remove the backsplash in order to make it fit but I requested to have the leftover slab. They finally installed the island and countertop. They forgot to cut the cooktop. It was of the plan since day 1. They did a crack on the countertop. I requested bullnose edges only on the island, but they didn't respect the design and they did it even on the countertop. The edges are poorly done. They are not smooth at all. I'm so disappointed. It look old and ugly. It was a beautiful slab, solid rock, they just ruined it. Almost 2 months to get this kind of job, it's a shame. Of course I never got the leftover of my slab.

I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted, and…read moreI met with a few traditional cabinet or home organizer places and they simply lacked the quality I was looking for. I became clear that based on the scope and dimensions of what I wanted to do that it would need to be a custom build. I started asking around on the neighborhood Nextdoor website looking for recommendations for a custom cabinet builder in my area. While there were a variety of responses there were several folks who referred me to "Mark's Custom Woodwork". One of them sent me a link to his website and after looking it over I sent Mark an email explaining what I was looking. Mark got back to me and we set up a time for him to come by for a walkthrough of the space so he could take some measurements. Mark's estimate was reasonable, and I agreed to move ahead. I knew going in that he already had a lot on his plate, but I was happy to wait the extra month or so before he could go into production. During the process he and I shared several emails going over the design and I found Mark very easy to work with. Once the cabinets and components were completed and finished, we scheduled an install date. It took two (2) days to complete the install and I am very happy with the finished product. The install was clean, and Mark's workmanship is excellent. If you are looking to have any custom work done, I would highly recommend Mark. The whole experience was very smooth and I would have no problem using him again.

He had them drawn up immediately, so I could envision what it would look like, we made a few changes in the final outcome is absolutely perfect. Ron was on point with keeping me informed texting back-and-forth and setting up installation. The beauty of dealing with Half Price Kitchens is they have everything in stock so when you're ready so are they! Here are some pictures of the final outcome of my laundry room/pantry. Roll out shelves laid on top of regular shelves and are shorter than them. The gap between the doors is ridiculous. Little details were not clearly communicated to us. $30.000 should get you a better looking product, but this is embarrassing. I wish i could go back and undo this whole thing. We had our kitchen redone by Creative Kitchens a few years ago, after experiencing a mold issue. I…read morethought it was important to chronicle all of the issues we have experienced since their installation: Soon after the installation, the under cabinet lights stopped working. Calls to Creative Kitchens went unanswered. Finally had to pay a handyman quite a bit of money to fix the lights. The kitchen sink started leaking underneath. The person who repaired it said that the sink was installed improperly. The leak was especially upsetting to us, after we had experienced the mold issue due to a leak prior to the kitchen being remodeled. One of the drawers does not always close or reopen properly. Again, Calls to Creative Kitchens went unanswered. Several of the cabinets are not aligned properly. Again, Calls to Creative Kitchens went unanswered. Most recently, we experienced a leaky hose in our dishwasher. The repairman was unable to move the dishwasher in order to access the hose. It was later determined that this was due to Creative Kitchens installing the dishwasher on top of wet cement. It had to be detached with a drill. I would stay clear of Creative Kitchens based upon the above. Not only is their work substandard, but they do no stand behind it.

We are nearing a year since the kitchen was installed and "finished" and some pieces have not been installed (under cabinet light rail and soft close mechanism for one cabinet door). Also, several doors and drawers need adjustment and/repair, which was supposed to take place when the light rail was installed. Bottom line: withhold some payment until you are completely satisfied and all work is complete. I did not. Also, we used a GC brought to the table by this company who I can not recommend. He was clueless most of time and definitely sub-par. This GC brought an electrician to the job who was nice and reasonable but left with one of the lights only working intermittently and now won't take my calls since he too was paid.
