I cannot say enough about my recent experiences about Dallas Arbor Care! From beginning to end, I was treated courteously and with great professionalism from everyone involved. During the estimate, I was provided with invaluable advice about how to save a large Cottonwood tree that I had previously thought was unsalvageable. I can't wait to start on Chuck's plan for this tree in the upcoming months when spring arrives! I love trees but I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about them. I feel a lot more confident after talking to Chuck. He has a real love for trees and it shows. In regards to my initial concern, the crew that came out did a wonderful job. Well, got about a foot of snow dumped on my live oak tree and noticed some branches were on my roof. So I looked online and found a couple of good reviews about Dallas Arbor Care on Yelp. I called and talked to Chuck and he answered my questions and gave me a ballpark estimate of cost. He came by the next day and his crew did a good job in trimming my tree. They also cleaned up and hauled away the cuttings. I was away at work, but he answered all my questions on the phone and let me know what he planned to do with my tree. I was pleased with the work and came home just when his workers were finishing up. They even had a going away snowball fight - with my snowman's head!!! But it was all in good fun. I rarely write reviews, but wanted to warn customers that you may be on the hook for damage that Dallas Arbor Care causes to your property and your neighbor's property. Dallas Arbor Care trimmed our neighbor's trees recently. Unfortunately, they let one branch fall onto our driveway (according to their workers), causing a crack and a hole. I understand that mistakes happen, and I called the company to figure out how to get the damage repaired. The employee who answered the calls assured me that the owner is aware of the issue and will be calling me soon. It has now been several weeks, and the owner has yet to return my calls and emails. I am disappointed that they are not taking responsibility for this mistake. If you are going to use these folks, be sure you have adequate insurance to cover property damage. read more

In my younger years I did tree work including pruning from within the trees on ropes and saddle. This included very near historic houses in a National Park as I worked for the Dept of Interior. Suffice it to say that I am an exacting customer. The crews with Dallas Arbor Care are professional, knowledgeable, and careful of your property. I know, because I have hired them for many years, inspected their work both real-time and after they have departed. I spoke with them when they were doing her trees and went ahead and set a date up for the next week (yesterday). I was a bit leery considering how I had a few bad experiences in the past. I was VERY impressed with Dallas Arbor Care to the point I am choosing to leave reviews in a few places. The arborist that was supervising/directing was friendly and professional and the front yard trees don't just look trimmed they look really, truly beautiful and professionally reshaped. They are almost 3 stories tall, but had so many dead limbs and trunk off shoots. I am a huge tree lover and was scared I was going to lose most of my trees like all my neighbors do hiring general lawn people... so it was like a beautiful gift. Also they cleaned up like they were never here and even cleaned a few things covered in leaves they didn't do! My porch looked better than it did before they got there! We were beyond pleased with Dallas Arbor Care and their service! They were prompt, coming exactly when they said they would. There estimate was very fair, having had many other previous tree services. This company was very knowledgeable about how trees should be trimmed, even heavily trimmed, without causing damage to the trees themselves. The whole crew cleaned up virtually every bit of debris after they were finished. The crew was friendly, helpful and careful to preserve nearby trees and vegetation from being damaged. Douglas, the owner, was present, personable, informative, honest and fair. The whole experience was a breath of fresh air. An appointment was scheduled for an Arborist to call and to come out to diagnose my tree. When no one called within the 2 day set-up time frame, I called the office and left a message that no one had reached out and I was still needing someone to to come out. Never heard back from them at all!! I decided that their "free estimates" means just that - no one is really responsibly taking care of potential new clients! Moved on to another company that charged for an Arborist to diagnose and recommend treatment. I'm very happy because they kept the appointment and showed up!! read more

They actually get up in the trees and clean them up from the inside and trim them vs. just cutting off branches like I see a lot of trimmers in the area do. I'm kinda picky. Actually, that is probably an understatement especially depending on whom you ask but I do not slather on the praise without good reason and I am not critical without cause. I used to work for the Department of the Interior, National Park Service so I can say unequivocally that I understand tree trimming, maintenance, clean up, and safety concerns. Dallas Arbor Care is as good as it gets, and I have tried quite a few businesses through the years. I have 16 trees that are maintained. The crew was professional, came when they said that they would, did an outstanding job, and was on to the next job. The estimate was right on, no surprises, and included the deep pruning that I needed. Douglas even provided his insurance coverage, without being asked, and told me proudly that the coverage has never been needed. His equipment is first-rate and well maintained. The trees are now shapely, thinned perfectly, and the cuts are perfectly placed with respect to the trunk, no scarring from errant chain saws raking across the bark.
