Friendly staff and efficient! My appointments was on time and worries were addressed!

I spent time sourcing for a Dermatologist. Dr. Grimshaw seemed a perfect fit. I waited about 30 minutes before seeing her. Once she came into the room, she was very impatient; in fact, did not greet and my wife, but rather went right into my reason for the visit. She was very quick to provide solutions to my problem, which I was very impressed with. Here's my problem...she did not offer me a chance to express or explore causes for, nor long term remedies for my problems. In fact, she left the room and said that the nurse or whatever her title was, will go over how to apply the remedies she prescribed to me. While she was pleasant, she did not appear to be genuinely interested in me as patient. Absolutely no Customer Intimacy. read more

I went to an appointment with Dr.Harrell recently that went horribly. Ive had an autoimmune disease for over 14 years and have had many invalidating doctors appointments before and this one was unfortunately no different. Their bedside manner was so poor and it showed when I was asked to disrobe and they did not step out of the room even when I voiced how traumatic being naked is for me and eventually I broke down crying and the doctor seemed uncomfortable with my emotions and barely glanced at my body once I was naked, so it felt completely unnecessary to even get undressed and only traumatized me further. I'm writing this for anyone out there who is seeking trauma informed, long term care, this will not be the place you receive that. I did ultimately get the prescription I've been needing for a long time but it definitely wasn't the experience I've been hoping for. read more

I made an appointment to see Dr. Alan Menter. They said that I would have to wait two months to see him. My wife had seen Dr. Menter several years ago and recommended him highly. In fact, Dr. Menter had been to dinner in my home when he first came to the USA from South Africa. Several days before my appointment, his office called and said that Dr. Menter had a luncheon to go to on my appointment day and he did not think that he would be back by 1:30 p.m. I said well, when do you want me to come? 2:00, 3:00, 4:00? No, they said, I would need to wait another two months to see Dr. Menter. Dr. Menter cannot see me on my original appointment day and now he wants me to wait another two months? Either Dr. Menter is a total JERK or his staff is making him look like a total JERK. read more

I called here to inquire about pricing for out of pocket initial visit. And was quoted $140-317. And I asked for a more specific price because that's a big range. And I asked why it was such a big difference. And he could not give me any specifics. Just said "that's the price range, it's for whatever y'all talk about". And I told him I was coming for a specific mole. And still not given a price. Sorry I'm not made of money and I don't think it's that hard of a request for a price for an initial visit. Unfortunately I was referred to this place my parents who raved about it. But I won't be scheduling. read more

The staff is nice. The building is fancy. The doctor I saw was delightful and quick. I went in for a rough spot on my face I thought was AK. It turned out to be a nothing, but it was on my face so we removed it, which involves a quick spray on your face. Basically like when you spray on your deodorant. In fact my daughter who is primary care (in another state of course) said she does it all the time and don't bother with a Derm, which runs up medical costs. Well my undertrained (UTSW) primary care doesn't do that (of course). So why the low rating? I just got a $450 bill! Seriously? Are they made of gold? Probably. My college boyfriend grabbed a Derm residency, stating "they were gold." Makes sense. He was also ambitious and superficial. It will be a cold day in July before I go back there. Except I actually went to an independent Derm in Katy, TX for a skin check to satisfy my company insurance. He was reasonable and skilled and better trained. ASSOCIATED DERM IS GREEDY. Pigs get fed. I was able to quickly get an appointment, and within 3 weeks my skin was noticeably clearer... Not only to me, but friends were even commenting and asking for my dermatologist's number. Office was super nice, and included a pretty sweet view. I've since moved away from Dallas, and when I called the office to see about transferring prescriptions to my new pharmacy, that was completed within a minute. I was exposed to poison ivy just before leaving home to visit family in Dallas. I tend to get systemic poison ivy very quickly, so by the time I arrived in Dallas the next day, the rash was already spreading and was quite gross. After calling all over town and having no luck getting a same-day appointment, the scheduler at Dallas Associated Dermatologists took pity on me and squeezed me in. Waiting room was pretty standard, and my wait time was very brief after filling out new patient paperwork. Dr. Jerald L. Sklar was friendly and professional, and I was out the door with some prescription samples and a prescription in just about 10 minutes. I have been to dermatologists before when I KNEW I had poison ivy, but they insisted on doing additional testing to rule out other issues that I knew I didn't have. Dr. Sklar looked at the problem, asked some questions, and sent me on my way, which was GREAT. Highly recommended! read more

I have absolutely nothing but lovely things to say about this office. The front office staff is communicative and friendly, the nursing staff is well informed and very professional. Dr. Sears was recommended by my mom, and she was great. Very fast talker, which is up my alley, and very sharp. Sized up my husband's issues and the charges were very fair. I don't understand all the negative reviews at all! I have been going to Dr. Fleischli for a few years now and she is just wonderful. Each time I go I feel as though I am well taken care of, she listens to my needs/concerns/etc. The only reason I won't give Dallas Associated Dermatologists 5 stars is because I have to wait an insane amount of time to actually see the doctor each time I go. 10, 20, 30, 40, even 60 minutes past my appointment time and nobody in the office bothers to tell you the doctor is running late or asks if you need to re-schedule (which...just don't because you'll have to wait again some other time) which I find to be rude. Plan on 2 hours each visit. read more

I went in as a new patient and saw Dr. Kuruvilla. He is great! Really warm and friendly, didn't rush through the visit, and wrote a couple of prescriptions that will hopefully take care of my adult acne/rosacea issue. It's a minor and mostly cosmetic thing so I felt a little silly going to a specialist for it, but he took me seriously and didn't act as though I was being frivolous or vain (I am! but that's another story!). The office staff leave something to be desired, but that seems to be par for the course around here. read more

Great office staff, Dr. Sears and her MA were great. I just want to give people a heads up about garage 8 if you need to park there. They do not accept credit cards, even ones you used just 15 minutes ago to pay the copay on your office visit. I made the mistake of getting frustrated and going to another lane to exit after it rejected both cards to pay cash. Then I realized I the machine took my ticket. But when I immediately pulled back into that station it reset and wouldn't honor the 2 dollar charge. So then I had to hit forgot ticket and it charged me 7. Then I circled around and waited in line in the cash aisle, luckily I had a 20. I waited for an old man in front trying his card, about 5 minutes later he's banging on the machine in frustration. I got out of my car and paid for his ticket with cash so he could get through. I called the number on the machine box, of course no answer. Is this racket? I don't know, but I'd highly recommend you bring cash! read more

Same day appointment, respectable and courteous staff. Although I sat in the patient room for a few extra minutes, the PA took her time with assessing and explaining things to me. It was well with the wait and I was so thankful to have been seen an hour after I called for a non-emergency. They even sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy and I should expect them to come via courier the next day! Cannot beat that! I will be back! read more

Original appointment was with Dr Sears and after that everything went down hill. First it difficult getting answers from billing but the incompetent/disorganized/dismissive/deceptive scheduling staff was a bigger problem. I had difficulty getting my tests results and getting medical questions answered. I also got transferred to several doctors, one which quite the practice before I even got to see him. Finally, after much frustration and informing the schedulers that I found a new provider (who even contacted them for my records), I thought I could forget about Dallas Associated Dermatologists. I was wrong since the Dallas Associated Dermatologists office started contacting me 5 weeks later. Again, very disappointed with the practices of and treatment by Dallas Associated Dermatologists. read more

I came here because of the highly rated reviews.Let me tell you this is the worst medical place I have ever been to in my entire life.Please read my review and reconsider going here.First I was made to explain in detail a very long list of things that I needed help with.I went into very much detail so as to get the best help possible.I was then made to do this another three times for a total of four times, first time to the person writing down my details as it was my first visit as I have no medical history in the US.Second time to the intern working there, a third time to Dr.Saucier to which after I was done explaining she asked and these are her words 'So what is it you are needing help with?' Unbelievable. Nothing wrong with the person who wrote down my details.The male intern working there though basically said to me that what I had in my face was just an acne cluster as opposed to an infection.This infection is 2 inches deep in my right cheek, I have acne but it is no where near this infection and when on a course of accutane(strongest anti acne med available) only the acne disappeared, not the gunk from my pores or the infection.Clearly the acne is just a symptom to anyone who feels my face properly and compares both cheeks, he even commented that the right side of my face where the infection is is noticeably more bloated.The infection is the reason I have the acne as well as the gunk and bloating, but according to him Im wrong.Ive even had my friend check the infection there, Im not imagining it, it literally is 2 inches deep into my cheek and can be felt if you press down and compare both cheeks. I told him I used to have psoriasis until I removed grains from my diet and did a heavy metal cleanse which got all of the mercury I had stored from my mercury fillings which I dont have anymore, that its not noticeable anymore and only flares up if I eat things im allergic to or if I dont tan regularly.He told me its more then likely I never had had psoriasis even though he noted the small patch of it on my feet.Funny that because when I left the place I went to somewhere to eat and forgot to ask for the tomatoes to be removed.I had a severe allergic reaction a few hours later and psoriasis from all under my armpits, arms, elbows and feet reacted and went extremely red, dry and hot.Just because someones psoriasis is not bad at the time and the patient in question has not had it medically verified but knows how to control it extremely well does not simply mean it never existed... He also told me that he would advise I dont tan(If I dont for a period of a month or more then my face literally turns into a dry flakey mess and Im not exaggerating and also the tanning helps my psoriasis A LOT.I can eat anything I want even if slightly allergic to it except tomatoes if I tan regularly.Of course I dont do that but you get my point.)He also had the audacity to imply my skin was showing signs of skin cancer without pointing out any specific area.When I told him about studies I have read about skin cancer and tanning he simply dismissed what I said. I inquired about accutane for my acne, he basically said they need to try other methods first(more money, more visits for ineffective drugs) I also talked about the side effects of accutane mentioning conclusions of studies etc, he dismissed these and said I was wrong. He then went out for awhile and I guess explained to Dr. Saucier I wasnt youre typical patient who sat there, said nothing and just accepted everything.She came in extremely nervous and only for 5 minutes or so, asked a total of one question which was her fault for not listening.She was so nervous seeming it was really unprofessional.She completely relied on the male intern as if he was her boss.I would have been embarrassed if it was me.In the end they only were going to address the acne and completely ignored all my other requests and didnt even comment on anything other than the acne and infection.(I wanted help with infection, acne, gunk coming out of pores, a mole removed, microdermabrasia for some minor aesthetic skin defects and an allergy test.But they didnt address any of these fully.Just the typical 'take this to cover up your symptoms and come back with more problems which we will be glad to not address but give you more drugs to cover more symptoms.' I was struggling with whether or not to write this review, as my purpose is not to taint someone's business reputation- but I also would like to know that the issue will be fixed and prevent another patient from experiencing what I did. For now I will just say I had the most horrible experience at this office. Dr. Fleischli did not impress me and I would not see her again. If you'd like to experience a lack of bedside manner and feeling like an afterthought, then go here. She walked in the room and immediately started telling me what my condition was. She hadn't even looked at any part of my body- just completely went off of what her PA told her. To top it off, after giving me a shot and abruptly walking out of the room (for the second time), her nurse neglected to bandage me up and walked out herself, leaving me sitting there with blood running down my leg from the shot. So, after the shock of that wore off- I opened the door (keep in mind I'm wearing an open gown made of paper and blood running down my leg) and got the attention of the first person I saw in a white coat (P.A. K. Rose) and said "...Um...do you have a bandaid?" She looked at me like I was crazy (I did look crazy), came in, shuffled through a drawer and HANDED me a bandaid and said she will get a nurse to come in and help clean it up. I waited...and I waited...no one came. At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I found some gauze and polysporin and a Qtip on the counter and bandaged myself up, got dressed and walked out. Unbelievable. **I do have to say that the PA that worked with me in the beginning (Lauren Parma) was wonderful and took her time explaining everything to me and did not make me feel rushed. She will do well. Excellent bedside manner and I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a dermatologist. read more

I'd like to start by saying that the doctors here are great. However, the reason for my 1 star rating is because this particular office on Junius Street is operated by an incompetent, overwhelmed, unprofessional bitter, stupid office manager. Sherry Kirby! I'll skip over the useless details and I would just like to say that if you are a masochist and like to be mistreated and humiliated than just ask to speak to Sherry. Upon my checkout there seemed to be a mistake, a obvious mistake on behalf of the person that did the scheduling of the current appointment. When I asked sherry about a future appointment with another doctor there in the same office, Sherry lost it! Sherry scolded me for not knowing the doctors schedule and reprimanded me in front of everyone. I remained as calm as possible hoping she would hear the tone of her voice as she was the only one YELLING. I did however, in my most relaxed voice tell her that her customer service skills sucked. Sherry did not care, she continued to reprimand me for not knowing the doctors names and schedules even after I told her, it's only my second time here and I've never met the other doctor who saw us today... Sherry is merciless, she doesn't care about customer service or professionalism. When you, if you visit this office and happen to meet Sherry Kirby just remember that she is big and you are little, you are wrong and she is right, you are dumb and she is smart... I did try to take the professional route and write a formal complaint in the hopes that someone might care but that too has turned out to be a bit of a task since the Manager of Operations will not return my call and no one will give me her email address. This is the worst experience in a doctors office that I've ever had. I suffer from a serious autoimmune condition that also affects my skin. I came to Dallas associated dermatologist because they were in network with my insurance and close to my house. I went in for a biopsy of my skin, and received a diagnosis that didn't seem to make sense considering my rash is a part of my rheumatic disease. I proceeded to go back to my old dermatologist who is out of network with my insurance(and also specializes in rheumatic diseases of the skin) and cash pay to see her and get a second opinion. She informed me that the actual biopsy procedure was done incorrectly and the diagnosis was also incorrect and I would have to have it redone when the rash flared up again. Dallas associated dermatology does not care that they gave me bad care, they are now demanding I pay them $500 even though I will now have to have the procedure re done a second time and pay for it a second time. I even offered to pay half of the bill because I did take up their time and supplies getting the biopsy done, but Dr. Sklar did not care and he demanded I pay the full bill of $500. I will never go back to this doctor ever again and as a matter of fact, I will be reporting them to the Texas Board of medicine if they don't resolve this issue. I am the kind of patient that they should really be taking care of and not treating this way. I am not in their office for cosmetic reasons I have a serious disease that affects my day-to-day life and they failed to take care of me in the proper way, this place is terrible! read more

I was shocked to see some of the negative reviews as I have been going to DAD for several years and have nothing but good things to say. I have seen Dr. Sklar for regular dermatology matters in the past and currently see Dr. Fleischli for cosmetic and regular derm matters. Both are exceptionally knowledgeable and personable. I was very nervous when I first went for cosmetic reasons having seen some bad Botox and filler jobs around Dallas, but I soon learned I was in good hands with Dr. F. She NEVER over does it, always knows exactly what I need and I credit her for the compliments I've received over the years on my skin, facial appearance, and lack of any signs of aging. In fact, i can honestly say she has made me look better and younger each year. I am not exaggerating. She is awesome and I am so thankful to have found her. Also, in the past 7 years, I have never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes in the waiting room (have been to all locations) and all of the staff has been helpful, nice, friendly and responsive. I've never had a bad experience and I recommend DAD, Dr. Sklar and Dr. Fleischli anytime someone asks for recommendations for a dermatologist. read more
