So, I actually think these guys deserve a 4.5. (However, no option for that...wah wahhhhh.) Francisco, Angel, Cristian, and Tony helped move our belongings out of a 2 bedroom townhouse and into a 675sqft storage space on Sunday. I initially had them booked for a 2 day affair. (Sunday to pack up everything and then Monday to move.) I got a request to just do it all on Sunday so my husband and I decided to go ahead and just cram it into one day! The guys showed up around 0900 and worked nonstop for almost 12 hours. They were super nice and I greatly appreciate all of their help. The only reason I gave them a 4.5 instead of a 5 was because the first 8 hours they were amazing and then the last few hours they seemed to just go slower because they were tired. (Which I don't blame them at all! That's a LONNNGGGG day of manual labor.) I'm sure they did not anticipate the amount of stuff we had. (Which is my fault because I told them a two bedroom 1500sqft townhouse with garage and attic but didn't tell them that we had guest room furniture in the garage so technically it was probably closer to a 3 bedroom house.) I would have liked more of our things in boxes versus just miscellaneous items being put in the garage, but again, this was kind of my fault since I told them it was a two bedroom townhouse so I think they only brought enough boxes for that. Yes, they could have run to get more boxes, but it was already getting late at this point and I think my husband just said they should forge ahead and get it done. So I guess I would recommend switching out crews if a job is going to take almost 12 hours. I really liked our crew, but for it to be done effectively and efficiently, that's just a lot of hard work for these young men. That all being said, overall they were great guys and we're planning on booking them again for our move from the storage unit into our house once it's done being renovated! And I gotta say, as someone who has worked since she was 16, I was impressed that some of these young guys are not only movers, but in school as well. (One guy was in high school and works as a mover on the weekends.) My husband and I both really admired their work ethic. Strong work fellas! (I'm sure after the move from the storage unit to the house we'll bump it up to 5 stars!) Oh, and Colby was great too. I've used this company 2x before and my experiences were phenomenal so I had the same expectations with this move. Let's start with the pros: Floyd was helpful and understanding. They moved the majority of the stuff safely. The person I talked to on the phone was helpful and accommodating. Before I start the cons, let me share that I had to reschedule my move from a Wednesday to a Sunday. The reasons I had to reschedule were 100% out of my control, but I still had high expectations. Cons: The details of the move were incorrect. The movers thought they were unloading a truck and didn't provide any wardrobe boxes. Once I corrected that information, the movers finally got to work. 1. the movers for this Sunday job was outsourced to A-1 movers. Absolutely no communicated this to me before the move. It was unsettling. 2. The majority of the boxes, washer and dryer, bedroom, and other small stuff was ready for them to pick up and move to the truck. 3. I moved from a first floor two-bedroom to a third floor two-bedroom in the same apt complex. I had lived on and moved various floors with Dallas Mover Pro, but A-1 movers continually complained about going up 3 flights of stairs. 4. It took the THREE movers 3 hours to load the stuff in the truck and longer to unpack the truck because of the "flight of stairs." When my partner came home, they said the movers were lounging around downstairs and just talking. By this time, we were 6-7 hours in the move. It should have taken them no more than four hours and I told Floyd that I had a limited budget. Should I have ended the move when I reached my limit with 1/4 of the move done? 5. Two of the movers carried 2-3 items at a time coming up the stairs. Obviously this job requires a certain strength level. While they were safe with moving my stuff, they were slow. 6. I ended up paying $400 dollars more than what I was quoted and budgeted and I still tipped them. (I don't feel bad for tipping Floyd because he was doing most of the work.) 7. Also, I lost my lamp. I think they forgot it on the back of the truck. I don't think I will use this company again. I am highly disappointed with how long everything took, the outsourcing of the company, and miscommunication. read more

I had thought that these guys were really good and fast at packing me but once I opened the trailer when I got to the destination it all became clear that my stuff was haphazardly thrown into the trailer. I had all the brand new totes I had bought for the move broken (five of them,which weren't cheap totes), two lamps, two wardrobe boxes were crushed because of the way they stacked things, and other items that were damaged. I contacted the company to ask them about how I go about filing a claim and I was told to send them an email of the pictures of the damaged items. I did that and received a phone call on Friday to say that they wanted me to call back. So I called back and it was around 4 and the only person that knew anything about the account was already gone for the day. If you operate a business like that you need to provide access to the customers notes to all the customer service representatives so that way this can be solved. I attempted to contact the service team on Monday again and got hung up on five times after asking for customer service and then when I finally did get transferred it just rang and rang. The people that answered told me well no one is there right now! Um it's 10 o'clock in the morning. You should either have someone there at all times to answer the phone or at least have a voicemail system where someone can leave a message. I will continue to update if I am ever able to get a hold of anyone. I would not use these guys again after the rushed job and the poor packing they did for the trailer. I'm sure there fine for local moves. After posting this review I was contacted by the operations manager who refunded a part of my money and made things right. read more

I just had DMP move me the other day and it was a FANTASTIC experience. My husband couldn't get off of work for moving so we were (lucky for us) forced to hire a mover. I was reading lots of reviews about 1 bedroom apartment moves in Dallas, and wasn't sure if they would want to handle my very full 3 bed house in North Fort Worth or if they'd make the trip without an excessive trip fee. Well they did, and way faster than I thought possible. They loaded 1700 Sq ft (with a lot more furniture than your typical house that size), with extra appliances, and LOTS of outdoor and garage junk, into the truck and our corresponding vehicles since we were so jam packed, in 2 hours! They wrapped everything and treated everything very well, didn't bump walls or knock stuff around. They had great attitudes and a "whatever you would like" approach! My team consisted of Colby, Darwin, Frank and Christian (I think). I was nervous about the hourly price for four guys thinking I was going to get stuck with 9 hours of moving and double drive time (moving 30 minutes away) and paying too much, but their reviews were good so I figured at least my stuff would be well handled if I do end up paying...BUT the fee was TOTALLY reasonable. All in all, they took 5.5 hrs to move everything and set up furniture for us, and 30 min for driving. I HIGHLY recommend this company and crew if you're lucky enough to snag them. The booking was professional, the crew was great - professional, fast, approachable and with fantastic demeanors. The price was fair for the work done and me having to do none of it (yay!). I had called around for a very last minute move help. That is part of life, last minute things lead to great situations down the road. Even if moving creates a lot of mixed stress- and that I like the do it yourself approach to things, actually I am very happy with the movers choice that I made today. Few mover business would not pick up the phone. But then everything lined up just perfect (including the Monday stars). Dominic, from Dallas Movers Pro answered my call right away. He clearly explained the terms of the move and related charges. Colby and Andrew the 2 men Dallas Movers Pro team arrived promptly at 2 pm as promised with a huge truck that accommodated all my items in one single trip. They have a very laid back, but hard working attitude. I noticed that they took everything in a good stride and with a smile. Nowadays many people pretend to call themselves pro's with ease, but Colby and Andrew showed how movers pro's actually should do their business. Very professional and helpful from start to end. I also appreciate the fact that they would not hesitate to rearrange items to fit perfect at my new location. Other movers would have an attitude that they don't touch certain items, but that's not the case with Colby and Andrew. Having relocated from London to Chicago 3 years ago and then Chicago to Dallas 2 years ago, I've become very familiar with the trials and tribulations of dealing with and working successfully with movers. It is therefore a pleasure to write this review... We just used Dallas Movers Pro to pack us up, move us and unpack us, from Dallas to Coppell, TX (hopefully our last move in a while!). From the very first phone call where the guy was super-helpful and very fair with the way he priced the job - explaining our options and suggesting ways to make our move more efficient and cost-effective, it was clear this is a very good company indeed. Then on to the weekend of the move itself (this weekend). Our crew was led for all 3 days by Carlos and he gets a massive shout out from us. He's a great guy, super-organised and totally respectful of our wishes. Also, as he rightly pointed out, that under his watch and despite us having a wedding registry's worth of glass and china, not one single thing was broken! This was a definite 'first' for me. We hired Dallas Movers Pro based on the wonderful Yelp reviews and they definitely lived up to their reputation. I received quotes from about a dozen companies before hiring Dallas Movers Pro. Right off the bat, I appreciated that they did not try to nickel and dime you with added hidden costs like some companies. Nor did they hound me with 100 phone calls and emails after I requested a quote like other movers. The service proved was unparalleled. The movers were on time for our early move from an 18th floor apartment and communicated about their timing. They were extremely courteous, even ensuring they worked around our sleeping three week old newborn baby. They did whatever they could to make the move easier for us - from providing wardrobe boxes, enduring everything was securely wrapped and padded, allowing us to keep several things in dresser drawers, and using a large rolling crate for us to fill with smaller items - all free of addition charge. The movers were also extremely efficient and worked hard the entire duration of the move. Thanks to Dallas Movers Pro, moving back in to our house that we remodeled was such a different experience than the trying...and extremely expensive...experience that we had with another company when we moved out earlier in 2016. Manny was awesome. He was very professional and courteous and so careful with the furniture that I really cared about. Tommy, the other mover, was okay. He was on his cellphone some, which I thought was a little unprofessional. He was nice, but not very careful with my things, bumped walls/ railings/ etc. After the fact - noticed a few scratches on my furniture/ in doorways at my old and new place, broken dryer hose. But they were both hardworking and efficient. If I had two Manny's that did the moving, I would absolutely give them 5 stars. They took a short lunch break and didn't charge me for that time, so that was nice. As a whole, the company seems good. This was my first time to hire movers. But I guess it just depends on who you get. If I had two Tommy's, I would've given 3 stars. UPDATE: After posting this review, I was immediately contacted by Colby, the operations manager, and Manny, and they offered to compensate for any damages that I thought was fair and address the issue. I ultimately decided in the end to not ask for compensation bc the scratches were so minor and a dryer hose is cheap. I really appreciate them reaching out and that the company is so honest and care about their customers! More companies should be like this. I would definitely recommend them! read more

Alex and Jeffrey were very experienced and professional about the way the entire moving process was performed. They gave us a time window in which to expect them to arrive, called 20 minutes before arrival as promised, and began promptly after a giving me quick overview of the job. They asked about how the fragile boxes should be handled and what we expected them to move/not move. They were careful to wrap the furniture and oddly shaped items with the moving blankets in a way that would protect it inside of the moving truck.The entire process was strategic, thorough, and completely satisfying. My husband and I had never seen such a great two-man team work the way they do! There was some miscommunication about moving our closet (we were told that they would provide special moving equipment to move all the clothes on the hangers so that we would not have to take them all off, however, Alex and Jeffrey told us that they were not informed that they would need to bring it for our move) but still, Alex provided a quick solution that did not cause a delay at all. The entire experience from securing a quote, to appointment, to the move (May 26th- the hottest day we could have picked) was professional and pleasant. Michael, Brandon, Frank and Alex took excellent care of our furniture (shrink wrapped and padded), boxes etc. and arranged it the way we wanted in the new home. Absolutely NOTHING from Furniture to China was scratched nor chipped, forget broken ( FYI I did pack the boxes -China and glassware etc and yes I pack like a pro :-)). Nevertheless they were very cautious with our new furniture, the antiques, the boxes, the hard wood floors and hard wood stairs. These guys were simply, simply incredible with a great attitude and professionalism. They did an amazing job to say the least and earned every cent of this big move! They moved a rather heavy bar cabinet up a flight of stairs and across a long passage, it was a beast to say the least and these guys were awesome, not to mention this was at the tail end of the move (6-7 hours in), when you would think they would be low on steam by then but not these guys!!! I had a great experience with David, Manny and Jayce on July 16 in Fort Worth to move 3 student's furniture out of a 2nd floor storage unit into a 3rd story apartment building with no elevator. They were all very courteous, polite and very careful with everything they handled, making sure to wrap every piece of furniture to ensure that nothing would be damaged. They worked very hard and efficiently in the HEAT of the summer of Texas and got the job done in record time. I would very highly recommend this company to anyone moving whether it be students or a family moving a household of furniture. I will definitely hire them again at the end of the school year to move out yet again. Also, I was able to hire this company within 2 days of needing them and they were able to meet my time schedule since I was driving in from out of town to meet them. Today was our 2nd time using Dallas Movers Pro in the last 2.5 years. Both experiences were great! The first move was from our apartment in Plano to our house in McKinney- nothing got damaged, they took great care of our stuff, and they were so quick. Today, we had them move all of our house belongings into a moving trailer. Once again, they were super fast (they only took 3 hours!), super professional (all of them were so cordial), and once again took great care of our stuff, making sure to seran wrap almost everything. My husband and I have been impressed both times. I would highly recommend them! They were well worth the price. We used 4 guys the second time, and wouldn't change anything about that. I recently moved and due to the massive amount of 5-star ratings, I hired Dallas Movers Pro on the spot (after receiving several quotes from other moving companies). I have moved countless times in my life, and I have never experienced the level of customer service and support as I had with these guys. Prior to arriving, Marty called as a courtesy an hour ahead of their arrival, introduced himself and the crew he would have with him. He took the time to ask specific questions related to my current items to get a clear picture of what he and his crew would be working with. Marty, Darwin and Frank were the best!! On Monday 11/14/2016 - I moved for the 4th time since coming to Dallas. I tried Dallas Movers Pro because I had really bad experiences with the previous 3 movers. I figured why not try the highest rated movers in Dallas. I can't tell you how thrilled I was. I had a team of 4 movers headed up by Francisco. I am sure that all the teams are great, but if you are contemplating a move in the near future, I would request Francisco. He texted me when he was on his way. He showed up on time, and went right to work. His crew descended into my apartment and immediately went to work. Wrapping all of my fragile furniture in furniture pads and shrink wrap. Where I lived was not designed for moving. It has a slow elevator down the hall. So Francisco's team staged everything outside the elevator, and then RAN back down the hall to get the next load. These guys did the move in half the time that it took to move in. By cutting the time in half I saved a lot of money. You cannot go wrong with these guys. They really made my move easy. Don't even think about calling anyone else. Call the best in Dallas and you will be thrilled like I was. read more

I cannot say enough good things about our moving team!! My husband and I have moved 4 times in the past 5.5 years, and this was by FAR the easiest and most pleasant of all the moves. We moved from a 2 bedroom TRI-LEVEL townhome to a 4 bedroom house a few miles away, and they did an amazing job in record time. We were about 1/2 packed, and they did the rest. Total time was 5.25 hours: packing the townhome, loading the truck (heavy/nice furniture made it down 2 flights of stairs with hairpin turns without anything being even slightly damaged), and unloading the truck/setting up our furniture. Marty, David, Darwin, Manny, and Frank were FANTASTIC! They were all incredibly friendly/polite/professional, and somehow they maintained an amazing level of speed/energy throughout the whole day. Marty was the team leader and was so supportive and positive with his crew! Overall, they completely exceeded our expectations and made moving day actually fun, enjoyable, and even stress-free. I had a very very last minute move. I found Dallas Movers Pro on Yelp of course, and was happy with the reviews. The customer service rep was friendly, and I had to call back a few times and they always redirected me to the same rep, which is good to have one person who works on your move so you don't have to repeat the same things over and over. I called on Sunday and booked a move for Wednesday morning. The movers, Colby & Anthony, called ahead an hour early, just as I asked. Since this was an "unplanned" moved, I was still packing up some things while the movers were there, but they were understanding. They got the apartment packed up in two hours and unpacked in about an hour and half. They also put my entertainment system back together. Most movers charge extra for that. They also helped moved furniture from room to room as I was being indecisive about where things should go. The ONLY negative thing I would have to say about this company was that I could have sworn the customer service rep said the minimum time was 2 hours, but their minimum is actually 3. Which to me is not standard. read more

We had a two part move, one on a Thursday and one on Sunday. Only downside is both times we got one less person than we requested due to call outs. That said, the movers have been absolutely amazing. On Thursday we had just Steve and David to help us do our two bedroom apartment, they were extremely polite, efficient, worked their tails off to help us move as fast as they could. Entire time they were friendly, thankful for our business and just all around "yes we can" type of guys. Nothing was broken in the move on Thursday, They wrapped everything and took extra care to not damage anything. Absolutely would use them again... and so we did Sunday. On Sunday we were moving the rest of our stuff from our storage unit we had David again, with Juan and Ishmael. All three were extremely efficient, very friendly, personable guys that worked their butts off for us. Pretty much an all star crew. Again nothing damaged, took great care of our belongings, helped us move items to rooms a bit as well. Highly recommend asking for David specifically. Both days they arrived on time. read more

Colby, Mike and Francisco come with my highest possible recommendation. Over the last 2 days I recommended them 3 times. Here's why. The crew was professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. Rarely can one find a company and crew to be all of those at once, and still deliver a valuable service. Colby managed his team expertly and with respect. No yelling or any unprofessional conduct, pure class and respect from Colby. His customer service could not be better. Mike couldn't have move faster! He surely respected the customers wish to be safe and efficient. He did so but didn't slam or break anything. Francisco was fast and quiet. He helped this trio become the best team you can have to move. They respected the items and building. Nothing was damaged. In fact, Colby performed a diligent inspection and provided packing options for each larger item. They also were sure to put lighter boxes on top to ensure nothing is broken I don't plan on moving soon. But I'll request Colby when I do. Highest possible recommendation. read more
