While this is not an overly large store, they effectively maximize their space to offer a great variety of both new and used albums. The value proposition is frequently accentuated via the many sales events offered both on-line and at the store, throughout the year. You need help, advice, assistance in tracking down a hard to find record, Ben and his team are jolly on the spot, each and every time. Books and music - my Dad's two favorite things. While at Yellow Jacket Records, Mom found a free record by Harry Chapin's brother, who she and Dad had met many years ago. I found a rare record that Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger collaborated on as well as a classic Joan Baez album. The store owner and staff were so nice and fun to talk too too! Adding this place to my monthly experience list.

Based on previous posted pictures, inventory is drastically reduced. I was able to browse through and find two gems and a flyer. Overpriced based on used vinyl condition. Found a rare Rory Gallagher double live 1974 album. Checked the vinyl discs and they appeared barely playable, for about $30 I put it back. Was not worth the 40 minute ride and 10 minutes to figure out it wasnt a storefront, rather a booth. I wont be back.

Prices were very modest and I bought quite a few figures I'd been on the hunt for. He even has some retro video games for sale at great prices too. Parking was a little confusing - I parked up the hill behind the store in what I guess was legal parking - some spots had reserved markers on them though. The owner was really nice and was willing to negotiate prices and talked with us quite a bit. This is a MUST for any collector coming through Chattanooga. Everything except for the sweatshirts seemed over priced. Staff was nice but times were just super expensive. My credit card was charged twice. I'm hoping one of the charges does not go through. I am waiting to see if it does. No one would answer the phone when we called. It was hard to find out if they were actually open. I called the University Center line and they were really helpful. The girl actually went down and checked to see if they were open. At least four people working and no customers ... should be able to answer the phone. We enjoyed walking through the University Center and seeing all the changes. Stop in for a look!

Cute little book store!…read more I spent several weeks this past year taking a class housed in the University Center at UTC. During my lunch hour, I would eat and then go look around the bookstore. I spent way too much money there. The store is small and they have a clothing section, a student book section and an area to buy notebooks and pens and such. I spent most of my time in the notebook around. They carry a variety of notebooks and they even sale Moleskine brand books, both UTC stylized and regular Moleskine books. They do have a small snack area where you can purchase drinks and prepackaged snacks, but I recommend stopping by a Walmart and getting your snacks instead. All in all the store is very quaint but is really expensive for the most part. You can find some unique items in the store that you can't find in other places, but if you need to buy a lot, I recommend Walmart or Staples. If you want UTC branded items, this is your place.
