    Grilled cheese burger

Grilled cheese burger and the shaved ham and cheese sandwich were good. The mashed potatoes and gravy would have been decent if it was warm but for some reason they came out cold. Everything else came out hot. The restaurant has a decent variety on the menu. I was a little bummed that they were out of tater tots but the fries were quite tasty and not at all overly greasy. The service by Cadee was FANTASTIC. For two people to eat with coke drinks, our bill was $30.00. So like all places right now, it's a little costly but comparable in price to most restaurants. Overall, I will eat there again.

Damascus Diner never fails. After a walk on the Creeper Trail, I ordered the 2 hotdogs, 1 side lunch. Service is always great at the Diner. Food arrives swiftly, drinks refilled promptly. The atmosphere was friendly with folks on their lunch hour.

Great food, great service. I came in town foe my birthday section hike and ate breakfast here three days. The food was on point. Try the fried chicken sliders.

I want to give this a five star but it's hard to compare a diner to more fine dining. But for a diner it's a solid 5-stars for the food quality and the servers! I had a burger that was so fantastic i snarfed it down in less than five minutes. Washed down with a beer. It may have been almost 10-am, but who's counting! I definitely recommend Damascus diner after a long day of hiking or biking. You will get a quality meal, for a decent price point and will leave with a full belly and smile on your face

Came to Damascus to do the Virginia Creeper Trail and stopped in for lunch. Before entering you can view the menu on the outside wall. We were greeted and sat immediately. There are about ten tables most seating four but they can also push tables together for a larger group. There is a TV mounted on the wall if you want to watch while you are dining. We ordered the tuna salad with chips, barbecue lunch plate, tree hugger salad, and fish plate. All of it was delicious and the portions are more like dinner portions but that's probably all relative to what your perception is. The atmosphere is casual and the servers were very friendly. There are lots of restaurants in this area but we definitely recommend this one.

My husband had a cheeseburger and he said it was the BEST he's had in a long time. The prices were reasonable and the service was very good.

A fun place for breakfast. We went right before the September 2024 storm and I hope the business makes it.

We came in close to closing for a quick snack. Reclaimed older home with a lot of local art-…read morereminded me of restaurants in Charleston. The coffee we had was very good- latte and flat white. They had run out of cold brew. Cinnamon bun was very sweet but good. The gluten free brownie was ok and chocolate chip cookie was airy (interesting) and enjoyed. If we had more time would have liked to have a full lunch.

The Girl & The Raven has such a cool story behind it, and learning about the meaning of the raven in Native American folklore made the experience feel even more special. Then the food arrived... and suddenly conversation stopped because everyone was too busy saying, "You have to try this!" We ordered the breakfast bowl with sweet potatoes, arugula, and the famous hippy sauce, a gooey cinnamon bun, and the homemade daily biscuit sandwiches. Every single bite was phenomenal. The hippy sauce deserves its own fan club, the biscuit was flaky perfection, and the cinnamon bun disappeared so fast it should probably qualify as magic. Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection. You can tell it's crafted by Michelin trained chefs who know exactly what they're doing. Sarah Grace took amazing care of us. She was friendly, attentive, and somehow managed to make us feel like regulars even though we were just passing through. The restaurant itself is adorable, and the artwork covering the walls is stunning. We seriously considered playing a game of "How much luggage can we leave behind to make room for a painting?" If we hadn't packed the car for vacation, one of those paintings would have been riding shotgun all the way home. Come hungry, stay curious about the story, and don't be surprised if you leave wishing your vehicle had just a little more cargo space.
