Stopped by Wicked Chicken about a month ago while the town-wide yard sales were going on, and I'm really glad we did! I ordered the Cuban with jalapeños added, and while it wasn't the traditional Cuban I usually expect, it was absolutely delicious and so satisfying. Our experience here wasn't exactly what we had expected that's for sure my fries were the only thing I could eat my chicken sandwich was like a rubbery consistency not good and my fiancés oysters were the size of quarters and the quality was not good at all. Make sure to check the prices that they have on walls not just the menu price there are hidden fees. They bring u a glass of ice water without asking if u want it and then charge u for it. I wish I had ordered BONE IN chicken wings. Instead, I made the mistake of ordering boneless wings (spicy pickle dry rub) and a burger (regular) and both were beyond disappointing. I split the burger and the boneless wings with a friend and we ordered an app for the table to split (Mediterranean Ranch Fries). In total, we spent about $50 and it was a complete waste of money. I would go back to try just the regular wings, but I wouldn't make a special trip. The staff was busy but nice and took care of our larger party with smiles and focus. Make sure to read everything on the front door and on the walls before ordering as they have hidden fees hidden amongst it all. The server brought us tap water without us asking. We were charged for these waters. There were fees charged as taxes that the server couldn't tell us what they were for, but insisted we pay either way. When we asked about these hidden fees the server just said well we have them posted on the walls so we don't have to tell you. Again, make sure you read everything posted on the walls before ordering. When I asked to speak to a manger, or owner we were told that they aren't around much and that it would be almost impossible to get in touch with. As of now we still have not had either one call us back, or respond to emails. Take this as a warning that the food and service are not worth the money you will spend here. read more

Later we went to the bathroom and found that there was a ton of inside seating but it was never shown or offered to us- my guess is that they wanted to keep that area to theirselves? Also the restaurant was chained off- very odd. The menu was paper and dirty but diverse. Not great for vegetarians. I opted for a steak salad. The meat was absolutely disgusting. It was not steak. It was some sort of beef you'd put in a stew. Tasted cheap and chewy. My partner got the chicken slider that was clearly some breaded frozen chicken with some red sauce and a bag of Sysco chips. They used white out to communicate fries were no longer a side option. The service was sporadic- great at first but then MIA. Tons of servers tho. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. I had lunch here today and decided to sit outside (rare occasion for early November). There are lots of options on the menu (one shouldn't have any issue finding something they like). I decided on the Wicked Chicken Sandwich (grilled chicken breast tossed in whatever sauce you choose). I chose pineapple Sriracha. The food was very good! I also tried the fried deviled eggs. Very cute decor and friendly sweet servers but they were busy and service was slow accordingly which was ok glad they had the business but I ordered the kale salad which had alot of interesting ingredients, however I guess they don't know to tenderize the raw kale you have to massage it in olive oil, so the kale was pretty much impossible to chew up! Plus, they didn't remove the stems so I had to deal with that. I ended up taking it home to massage it myself. I'll try again but will order a different meal. read more

Visited on Saturday March 30th after riding on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Really good atmosphere to enjoy some good wings and other food after a ride. We had. group of 11 people and arrived shortly after we finished our ride at around 3:00pm. We were greeted by friendly staff and was waited on pretty quickly. The kitchen was slammed but they did a pretty good job of bringing the appetizers out quickly. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and Creole Dry rub wings. I really enjoyed both especially the sandwich. The wings were spicy but not too hot. My wife had the the burrito bowl but wasn't to impressed. Others in the group wings and and burgers and both seemed to please. There is an ice cream parlor at the same location in the outside picnic tables where we had our meal. The ice cream was really good. I also sampled one of the Damascus Local brews they had. While the greek salad sported fresh greens - the Gypsy Circus Tart Cherry Cider on tap stole the show ... ice cold ... After a 17 mile bike ride down the Virginia Creeper Trail, the Wicked Chicken was a perfect stop to recover. Service was amazing even with a sign that said they were low staff and please be patient. Great service and super friendly staff! I had boneless wings which seemed to be your standard frozen then deep fried boneless wings with buffalo sauce. They weren't bad, I just think there was a missed opportunity to put their own spin on these using fresh chicken. My husband had the Reuben? (Sorry, I didn't get a picture before he demolished it) with pulled pork on it, which he was quite happy with. The amazing dish, though? The reason I'm writing this review? The Pickle Medley appetizer. FANTASTIC. A mixture of fried dill spears, fried pickle chips, and spicy fried dill slices. Oh, and fried banana pepper slices. FANTASTIC, I say, as a fried pickle conneseur, lol. They were perfectly cooked, crispy without being overdone. The batter was thin coated and not bready or gummy at all. The pickles tasted homemade and I would swear there was rosemary added to the dill but I forgot to ask. I would come back just for those alone. I don't know if it's the only restaurant in Damascus but we've come here each time we've biked the Virginia Creeper Trail. Ate at this restaurant because it was highly recommend after my bike trail ride. Also riding past during the ride the restaurant was crowded so it must have been good. The service was good based on our dietary restrictions the waitress was able to accommodate us. The food was decent. Order the crab cheese & jalapeño poppers with the medium Buffalo chicken sliders. The chef/waitress forgot my lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing with my sliders. Also I am not a fan of waiters/waitress receiving my payment form and taking forever to come back to my table. It took awhile for the waitress to deliver my payment form back which irritated me. Overall, this is place is good to spot and eat after your bike trail ride. We almost didn't go because we couldn't figure out where to go in. There is a chain on the outside and it says to wait for service but no one came lol. We just moved the Chain and went in the door and they sat us. The wings are great and the chicken Philly was awesome! U can get whatever sauce you want on it. The service is great. There is one waitress that has a very pretty singing voice. It was nice to hear her sing along to the songs. Oh you have to try the fried deviled eggs. They're really good! Our server was attentive and quick, and the food better than expected. I had the wicked chicken sandwich and it was awesome, great flavor and crunch . My son had the Cuban and raved about the flavor. Curly fries are the go-to side because the coleslaw is weak. Beer selection is solid and the overall feel of the place is very comfortable and cute - if anything it's almost too quiet indoors! Another 5 star review, only take out this time. Saturday was extremely busy but they were holding their own. One young lady who seemed to be running things (possibly the manager, her name might have been Amanda who I spoke to on the phone), really stood out, grace under fire basically. There was a line to enter, I asked if I could come in for a "to go order ", and she asked if I was "pot pie guy". yep, that's what I ordered, she escorted me in, and my food was waiting. She really had a great demeanor. I had the pot pie dinner with mashed potatoes with green beans. The pot pie was huge, baked in a medium sized pie pan. It had a thick sauce, tender chicken, and vegetables you expect in a pot pie. The potatoes were creamy and a bit garlicky. The green beans were not overcooked. Soooo yummy! We came to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail and enjoy the fall leaves. When we were done we stopped here for dinner. Everything is good here! Order with confidence. The onion strips, which are like onion rings are delicious! Most folks order the chicken wings, and they do look delicious, but we tried the chicken pot pie instead. It tasted as good as your grandma's-homemade chicken pot pie. I recommend this place! We're coming back for wings tomorrow. read more
