I wish I had ordered BONE IN chicken wings. Instead, I made the mistake of ordering boneless wings (spicy pickle dry rub) and a burger (regular) and both were beyond disappointing. I split the burger and the boneless wings with a friend and we ordered an app for the table to split (Mediterranean Ranch Fries). In total, we spent about $50 and it was a complete waste of money. I would go back to try just the regular wings, but I wouldn't make a special trip. The staff was busy but nice and took care of our larger party with smiles and focus. There is a lot of outside seating and indoor seating as well, but the outdoor area is great for groups and friends looking to enjoy the fresh outdoors and a meal.

Gosh. Not many choices here in Damascus but this one was open late lunch so we went. Loved the outside seating but it was hot. Later we went to the bathroom and found that there was a ton of inside seating but it was never shown or offered to us- my guess is that they wanted to keep that area to theirselves? Also the restaurant was chained off- very odd. The menu was paper and dirty but diverse. Not great for vegetarians. I opted for a steak salad. The meat was absolutely disgusting. It was not steak. It was some sort of beef you'd put in a stew. Tasted cheap and chewy. My partner got the chicken slider that was clearly some breaded frozen chicken with some red sauce and a bag of Sysco chips. They used white out to communicate fries were no longer a side option. The service was sporadic- great at first but then MIA. Tons of servers tho. The ice cream place on site also sold $1 beers and Jell-O shots? Strange. The ice cream was mayfield and pretty affordable with a diver array of options. The one scoop was a good size.

Did a day trip to Damascus and chose this place for lunch. Sat outside and enjoyed the spring weather. Maybe it was due to few customers and a breezy day but I didn't get a good vibe. The food was ok and the service was gratuitous at best. I plan to try it again next time in town

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. I had lunch here today and decided to sit outside (rare occasion for early November). There are lots of options on the menu (one shouldn't have any issue finding something they like). I decided on the Wicked Chicken Sandwich (grilled chicken breast tossed in whatever sauce you choose). I chose pineapple Sriracha. The food was very good! I also tried the fried deviled eggs. I'm not a fan of deviled eggs, but I decided to take a chance. They were good, too. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Great wings. Excellent service. What a neat little spot. PBR was 1 dollar and a Bloody Mary is only 4. What great prices. The wings are really good as are the sides. Don't think you can go wrong at The Wicked Chicken.

Visited on Saturday March 30th after riding on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Really good atmosphere to enjoy some good wings and other food after a ride. We had. group of 11 people and arrived shortly after we finished our ride at around 3:00pm. We were greeted by friendly staff and was waited on pretty quickly. The kitchen was slammed but they did a pretty good job of bringing the appetizers out quickly. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and Creole Dry rub wings. I really enjoyed both especially the sandwich. The wings were spicy but not too hot. My wife had the the burrito bowl but wasn't to impressed. Others in the group wings and and burgers and both seemed to please. There is an ice cream parlor at the same location in the outside picnic tables where we had our meal. The ice cream was really good. I also sampled one of the Damascus Local brews they had. Overall a great local place to eat.

We got the fish and chips and buffalo wrap bowl both were delicious! The tequila sunrise was even better! Our server was spot on and very nice! We sat outside which was wonderful no bugs and everything was very clean! We will be back for sure!

After a 17 mile bike ride down the Virginia Creeper Trail, the Wicked Chicken was a perfect stop to recover. Service was amazing even with a sign that said they were low staff and please be patient. Draft beer was cold, food was fresh and delicious, and the attached ice cream shop was a great end to the day of adventure!

Might be the worlds worst burger. Precooked or microwaved not sure. $12, I wasn't expecting the best burger but this was not edible. On a positive note the vibe was good and had a local performer that was good.

On our way to Tazewelll we drove through Damascus when we noticed people sitting outside. Being hungry and the weather sunny we turned in on whim only to realize what a great place this is. Greeted by a great sounding one-man band we were seated by the hostess. The menu looked great and I ordered a burrito bowl and so did my friend. The food was served in a classy white bowl with all ingredients separated. A feast for my eyes as well for my tastebuds. Definitely will come back

    Pickle Medley Appetizer

Great service and super friendly staff! I had boneless wings which seemed to be your standard frozen then deep fried boneless wings with buffalo sauce. They weren't bad, I just think there was a missed opportunity to put their own spin on these using fresh chicken. My husband had the Reuben? (Sorry, I didn't get a picture before he demolished it) with pulled pork on it, which he was quite happy with. The amazing dish, though? The reason I'm writing this review? The Pickle Medley appetizer. FANTASTIC. A mixture of fried dill spears, fried pickle chips, and spicy fried dill slices. Oh, and fried banana pepper slices. FANTASTIC, I say, as a fried pickle conneseur, lol. They were perfectly cooked, crispy without being overdone. The batter was thin coated and not bready or gummy at all. The pickles tasted homemade and I would swear there was rosemary added to the dill but I forgot to ask. I would come back just for those alone. I don't know if it's the only restaurant in Damascus but we've come here each time we've biked the Virginia Creeper Trail. It's convenient, priced right, entrees are good, and there's an ice cream stand right across from live music. This is a great little place.

I know, this is silly but for some reason, drinks taste better to me with crushed ice. The service was really friendly. There are many televisions in the restaurant. They have a bar big enough to fit 10 people or more. The restaurant itself has high ceilings which always makes a place feel extra roomy. I love that. I also love that they have closed captioning on the televisions. And they have a roll of paper towels and all of the condiments already on the table which helps the workers so much. The crinkle fries were good. They have a good seasoning on them but they need more. So much more seasoning because it's good. The beef topped pizza was also good. The dough is a little sweet but I ate every bit of it. The cheese was plentiful. To me, the homemade chips were wonderful. They weren't greasy or salty. The club sandwich's bread was out of this world fresh and good. The sandwich was a little thin to me. I would have appreciated another slice of meat but the sandwich as a whole was good. The cheese was melted and tasty. The food was a little expensive but I guess everything is since 2020. The parts I didn't like-they are minor things. There was a loud hum in the lady's restroom. Sounds like it's coming from the ceiling although there wasn't a light over the stall so I'm not sure. Upon arrival around 2 pm on a Monday, there were 6 tables that had not been cleaned. I saw a couple of workers on break outside, perhaps they took a break after a lunch rush?? The only female worker had her hair up but part of her long bangs was hanging down. I used to work in food service and we always had to wear hair nets. The dress of the staff was quite casual. That doesn't bother me but some might frown on it. One guy had crocs on. Another guy was wearing sweatpants. Again, no worries for me because it's a casual place but wanted to mention it in case you're looking for a white tablecloth kind of place. This is not it. Side note-the ice cream and fudge across the street at Hester's Country Store is AMAZING! makes for a nice dessert after eating here.

Please do not patronize Creek Bottom Brewing…read more It is not a safe place for women or children. Creek Bottom is at the center of a local controversy involving a young man named William Ayers. In 2023, Ayers was convicted of child rape (carnal knowledge of a child) and abduction. He was released from prison last year, back into our community. Upon his release, Creek Bottom Brewing began employing him to work in the brewery--as a known convicted child sex offender. In February, while working for Creek Bottom, Ayers was arrested AGAIN for ANOTHER sexual assault, strangulation, brandishing a firearm, and abduction by force. It got a little media attention as the "Valentine's Day Rape." Recently added to his list of charges is possession of child porn and sexual abuse of an animal. Where does Creek Bottom come in, beyond offering a job to a known child sex offender? William Ayers' parents are the owners of Creek Bottom. They made the choice to employ him at their brewery, along with their many young women employees and the families who visit the restaurant. Our dollars spent at the brewery unwittingly went directly towards Ayers' paycheck. Many community members feel that Creek Bottom's owners have made horrendous decisions that endanger our community by choosing to have their son employed at the brewery, and by supporting/enabling him in other ways. It is readily apparent that Ayers' parents employ pricey high-powered out-of-town attorneys to defend their son from his charges. (Courtroom interactions between those attorneys and the father of William Ayers reinforce this, with the attorneys pulling Daddy Ayers aside for extended conferencing before making motions.) A couple of days ago, Ayers was offered bail set at $900,000. That means that if his supporters/enablers come up with a $90k bail bond agent fee, or $900k on their own, Ayers will AGAIN be released into our community. All of this is a matter of public record: past convictions, state sex offender registry that showed Ayers working at Creek Bottom until his latest arrest, ownership of Creek Bottom, recent charges, and ongoing court case with private legal defense. All members of our community can and should make their own INFORMED choices here. Sending your money in Creek Bottom's direction could literally help lead to this individual being released into our community once again. Endanger the wealth that is supporting him, and we may be able to make a real difference for community safety. Please don't unwittingly contribute to a William Ayers legal defense fund or to bailing him out to walk among us again. If you see fit, stand by us in this effort.
