Damascus Tattoo has been the most pleasant of experiences I've had out of any tattoo experience. It's clean, everyone is friendly and extremely professional. After being referred by multiple people, Katie has now tattooed me twice. The time she takes to make my visions come to life reflects in her artwork. She's simply amazing. The detail and the time she takes to make everything perfect is unlike anything I've experienced. I have found my forever tattoo artist!

Damascus Tattoo Company is an amazing tattoo/piercing art studio in Maryland and I received a gorgeous custom dark surrealism tattoo by the owner Robby Latos. He is one of the best custom realism tattoo artists in the DC/Maryland.Virginia region and in the country. Also, I received three gorgeous custom dark surrealism tattoos by Daniel Eidelbaum and I am happy that he joined the Damascus Tattoo Company family because he is one of the best custom realism tattoo artists in the DC/Maryland.Virginia region.

Rocky's work is amazing, exactly what I wanted, no complaints!

I was tattooed by Rocky and I had an amazing experience! She was very open-minded and receptive when designing and placing my tattoo. Rocky was organized and ensured I was well educated on the entire tattoo process and aftercare. The entire experience was great and I will be back for more tattoos!

Color wheel, 3 hours, healed, by Ryan Kauffman

It has been just over a month since I got my first tattoo. I chose DTC because of the quality of all the tattoo artist's portfolios. I was really impressed that such a small (local!) shop had such a wide variety of consistently talented artists. I needed someone who was superb with color and very detail-oriented. The second I opened up Ryan's portfolio, I knew he was my guy. He is extremely friendly, patient and as gentle as one can be while repeatedly sticking you with a needle ;) In fact, everyone in the shop is really cool. I met Ryan for a consultation and we went over what I wanted for my tattoo--a fractal/color wheel/flower. I lucked out and got an appointment the next day and when I got there the following night, he showed me his drawing, applied the stencil and got to work. 3 hours later my tattoo was done and I couldn't have been happier. I jumped around and squealed like a little fan girl, but I couldn't help it. I loved my tattoo that day and if it's possible, I am even more obsessed with it today. I also wanted to note that Anthony did my husband's tattoo the following week and although it was really simple, he did a great job. His line-work is impeccable and if you're in the market for American traditional, Anthony is the way to go.

After 25 years, I finally was commuted to have my first tattoo done. It took me over two years to figure out what I wanted, and Damascus Tattoo was recommended to me. I met Greg, back in July, for a 15/20 min discussion regarding my tattoo and about a month ago, I had my first tattoo performed. With my 16 year old boy in tow, he sat and watched Greg discuss the procedure, the pain level and the equipment. I felt totally at ease and would highly recommend this place and Greg. Oh, I decided on a custom Van Halen logo. Here it is minutes after Greg finished and a month later, no scares, no bleeding and fantastic colors!

I got a medium piece on my back in 2016. Everything went perfectly and they were very professional. My skin didn't want to accept the purple ink, so after 3 or 4 hours, we decided a faded look would be cool. I love it. I trust Jon and his team completely.

Copy and pasted below is the email I sent to them and got NO response at all. It has been a week and I didn't even get an apology much less any effort to right this wrong. I have cried over this. I am not one to just put tattoos on my body for the sake of it. This is a memorial tattoo and I am so glad at this point that I didn't get my late husband's thumbprint yet because I would be even more upset if that was ruined. I tried to handle this with out laying it out there because I know mistakes happen, but the fact that I have received NO response at all to this email has made it clear that they don't actually care. Hello, I came in about 2 weeks ago for a tattoo. Despite the fact that I had emailed and confirmed with Haleigh on Monday that I was coming for an appointment with her when I arrived that Thursday, my appointment was not in the schedule and she wasn't even ready for me at all. She had a different appointment scheduled at the time I was supposed to be seen Apparently there are glitches with your scheduling software. I try not be a pain and when a different artist was offered to me as she was free at the time I said ok. Lainey took over and just did the nose prints from my dogs since that was basically a copy and paste, since absolutely nothing had been worked up for the other part of my memorial tattoo, which is my late husband's thumbprint as the body of a hummingbird. I was so excited to get the tattoo I agreed to switch artists figuring that anyone in the shop would be good enough to do it well. Though I was already disappointed that I was not seeing the original artist, nor had she even started to work up any options that I thought I would have seen and been able to discuss ahead of time. Well, there is a decent amount of blow out on my tattoo. I am extremely disappointed because this tattoo means so much to me. As far as I understand there is nothing that can be done to remedy this and I am now forever stuck with it. I just wanted you to know how upset I am over this. I actually tried to do it right this time. Found who was supposed to be a reputable and sought after tattoo shop, took the time to come in for 2 different consults, and sent multiple emails with pictures. And this tattoo that means so much to me is blurry and there is random ink under my skin. I've attached pictures. There are spots that are supposed to be there, but the blow out is especially noticeable on the lower nose print. As I said, to my understanding there is nothing that can be done to fix this. I will be having all my other work done elsewhere and have no intention of ever recommending your shop to anyone. Sincerely, Amelia

Can't forget to mention that their shop is filled with the "Curiosities" portion which will entertain you for hours. I spot new trinkets and oddities every time I'm there. If I had to use one word to describe operations it would be "CLEAN". Their sanitation protocols are beyond medical standards and the term "professionalism" would be an understatement. Even as a seasoned piercing client, they're all still diligent in ensuring I'm updated and informed on aftercare practices as well. Advanced piercings, helix, lobe, and nipples, a wrist tattoo, and spine piece later, I'll always chose Time Bomb as my body mod providers. A full bodysuit tattoo piece is in the near future, and I can't wait!!!! I would and still do recommend Time Bomb to everyone I come across. Services: Ear piercing, Color ink tattoos, Tattoo aftercare, Piercings, Tattoo design, Female tattoos, Tattoos Requested style: Custom, easy to heal, low maintenance, and consultation in placement were all part of the process in piercing and tattoo decisions. Their team of professionals were able to answer all my questions and give sound advice in how I'd experience and heal from the new pieces. Cleanliness: I've walked into doctor's offices less clean than Time Bomb's shop. They take cleanliness and sanitation to a new level and it helps make the experience feel safe and cared for Artists: My piercers were Alden, Jasper, Christie, Captain, and Pari, tattoo artists are John and Captain. I'd recommend all of them, although Pari was supernaturally fast with her piercing experience (3 helix's). No joke, it took under 5 minutes to place, prep, pierce, and clean up. The piercings themselves took maybe a minute and a half. Both Pari and Christie made the piercings hurt less than expected and have such a skilful and delicate touch that they're experts in their industry.

Not sure how I mixed this up. I remember I was devoriced or on my way to getting one when I got the third tattoo* 10/13/20 This Tattoo place use to be located at 940 bonifant st, silver spring, md 20910.  This is the tattoo location I went to incase this place does not remember me. (I will add my photo after work today) However, as Silver Spring has changed and grown from the hoodlum it was, to the new upper class area, many businesses have moved to other locations or shutdown for good. Ambrotos Tattoos in Silver Spring is where I aquired my second tattoo.  I showed up to this place on a spur of the moment... okay I called to find out when the opened on a certain day ahead of time. Anyhow, I showed up with no real preparation on what I wanted.  I looked around for awhile bouncing around ideas, until I found a picture of fairly with her wings spread. The idea of having another fox on my upper arm  came to mind.  This fox would on mountain top with a few apples near it. The fox is reaching for another apple. There would be a waterfall near it too. Waterfalls are something I have always liked since I was a kid. The tattoo artist I believe had red hair and was cool dude. He had a lot of patience with what I wanted to get done.  Any tattoo artist will tell you this is serious life choice. Once the tattoo is on your skin, removing it can be more costly than keeping it. Can be painful and unsightly  to remove it too. Both he and I understood this without having to say anything about that. As we talked, I found out he once worked at a tattoo place called Inkers Tattoo.  I found out he trained a girl...woman  named Ashley. (I HOPE I GOT HER NAME RIGHT) I did get the feeling they may have had a falling out.   Nevertheless,   I found it interesting that the person giving me my second tattoo would be the trainer of the person who gave me my first tattoo. Watching the set up of clean and sterile equipment. I watched as the needle scraped against my skin.  Personally the pain was pretty much nonexistent.  However as the needle  crept up to my chest, I could feel how painful it would be if I did get a chest tattoo. The mythical animal I call The Bellfox  is rarly seen by people with its wings.    The whole process of getting this tattoo was about 2 hours. The shading wasn't bad either.   The healing process wasn't as bad thos time around, because I now knew what to expect.  A+D First Aid Skin Ointment helped a great deal. I also used lotion, but I won't say which kind. The tattoo artist  at whichever place you go to will advise you what to get.   Your paying good money to get a tattoo from them so listing to their advise on the healing process is advised.   Not to jump off topic, but I will for a moment.  A guy once told me he had gotten a tattoo once. He later on that day went for a swim in a swimming pool and list all the color off of his tattoo. The guy had to get his tattoo redone again.  He was lucky his tattoo did not get infected too. I remember the guy telling me that if I ever get a tattoo, I should listen to what they say about the healing process and don't be a moron like him. Well I listen to what the tattoo artist told me and the itchy feeling of my arm/shoulder healed in no time.  I would like to thank this guy for the tattoo this guy did. If there was anything I would want changed about the tattoo,  it would be to add more water. Maybe one day I might have the artwork on both my tattoos updated with more water, but we will have to see. Maybe if I winner $100,000.00 I'll do it.

I came in with a simple request, I lost the back of my nostril piercing and needed a replacement. I even called ahead with what my problem was and they said they could help me. To start, they didn't ask for my ID once, and I am a 20 y/o 5ft woman, I look pretty young and am agreeable and shy. They told me that it probably wasn't a good idea to do the stud, because they weren't sure if my top would fit into their backings (threadless nostril jewelry is pretty standard but okay) and that they don't sell the backs separately (fair enough... I believed that they were trying to save me money). So they offered a hoop. I've been interested in a hoop for awhile so I hesitantly agreed and asked for the smallest option. It looked pretty big in my hand, so I asked again if they were sure the stud would be a bad idea (they said yes) and if they have a smaller hoop. I was brought into the back room where I said again the hoop seems too big for what I'm wanting, but the piercer just wanted to get it done. No offer to hold up a mirror to test the jewelry, which should be the bare minimum. After an aggressive insertion, I look in the mirror and burst into tears. It was too big and bleeding and hurt so bad. So then magically, they offered to sell a cheap stud to me (which is all I was wanting in the first place). She takes out the hoop, and tries to shove in the back of the stud without properly threading it (it obviously didn't work with more blood and pain), until she tried again with the threading. Of course, my gem fit perfectly in the backing. And of course, I still had to pay for both the hoop, stud, and their time. They just wanted to make a sale on the $30 dollar hoop instead of the $15 stud. Even grosser is beforehand they said that doing the hoop would be "saving me money" since they don't sell the backings of studs separately from the gem or ball (even though come to find it was half of what the hoop was). I originally felt that it was my fault my experience was so traumatic, but it is the professional's responsibility to make their customer comfortable and confident in their decision, especially when they are clearly nervous/hesitant/asking for other options repeatedly. And when you are in a line of work working with people's bodies. In conclusion, it was rushed, unnecessarily painful, unprofessional, expensive, and most of all deceptive. I feel violated. And to top it all off, they threw the 14k gold earring I had in my nose as a placeholder when I arrived in the garbage (she fished it out of there for me, but come on). Do better.

I came up with all kinds of images such as flags, currency, compasses, geo coordinates, etc. I've never had such a large tattoo done before, so I wasn't sure what to expect in the week leading up to it. Was I supposed to see a sketch? Tina let me know her plan in that it wouldn't be a single sketch for this particular piece, but several pieces that we'd put together like a puzzle. Exciting! In all, it took 3 sessions, all about 2-3 hours each. Some of that time was placing pieces, re-drawing small items, hand-drawing directly onto me, etc. I loved her creation and I loved how it developed with each session. Each and every piece has a meaning from coordinates to special places to the bottle of sand and shells. Tina is a wonderful artist that truly cares for others. There was no need to constantly talk during sessions...it was always a calming silence when she was too focused outlining to chat.
