I came across Damn Good Sweet as I had an appointment in the area, and I am always interested in discovering new bakeries and cafes. My first impression was that the local was a bit disorganized. I think they where in the middle of a repair and the store attendant seemed to be occupied with other duties in the back. As far as the sweets, I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have a larger selection of items available. I opted for the banana bread cheesecake it was delicious. The prices are a bit expensive I believe all small cakes are ten dollars. They have outdoor seating available which was nice. Overall it's a cool concept but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it again. read more

Been to Warren Restaurant (the desserts are made here) many times but haven't had a chance to stop in here for quite a while. Was on the later side, and they were sold out of a bunch of things, so picked up their amazing Key Lime Tart (the soft graham cracker crust is fantastic, the filling just the right amount of tartness. Love their Oatmeal Raisin Cookies too. Love this place!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

Their hours are inaccurate. They're closed on Sunday as well. Would be good to know without having to find out by the sign on the door. Dessert to me is nothing special, lacking in flavor too. The pistachio petit gateaux pretty much tasted like nothing. The cupcakes were on the dry side and the frosting was bad. read more

Ordered delivery and was quick and came in a cute box and bag. I ordered pistachio and chocolate cake petit gateaux. I wasn't a fan of the pistachio which I was hoping to like, was surprised by the raspberry like filing inside for the description didn't say that. i was thinking it was a fluffy cake but inside it was a hard candy like coating. If I could rate it negative stars I would. Amid their relocation a cake I put in for my birthday was not made. I didn't find out until I went to pick it up and nothings there. None of the numbers listed are answering the phone. Just to call another bakery for them to tell the owner to call me. Then on the phone to ask for a referral or SOMETHING and owner didn't call AGAIN. Didn't let me know that the cake was not made. Didn't let me know about their relocation. Do better, seriously. The most unprofessional experience I've ever had. So disappointing. I would add a photo but they didn't make my cake lol lol. read more

My friend and I first sampled Damn Good Sweets delectable desserts by chef Julian Belon during a Dessert Wars events. Their coconut confection made such an impression on my friend that she followed their journey into their first brick and mortar store in West Delray Beach. Damn Good Sweets is located in the shopping plaza near the turnpike that has Joseph's Italian Market in it. Go past the Dunkin' Donuts and look for the balloons out front. The store front is small but adorably decked out in pink and marble. There are only four stools at a counter so plan on takeout. We came after dinner on opening day so the selection was pretty thinned out. If you follow them on Instagram they will give you a free scoop of ice cream this week. Their Petite Gateaux, French for little cakes are $10. I got a hazelnut cake and a $5 brownie. Both were good but I wish they added chocolate chips to the brownies. You can order their ice cream by itself or in milkshakes and in ice cream sandwiches. They also sell whole cakes, drip cakes, macarons, and candy by the pound. Prices are steep but inline with a chef driven gourmet bakery. I definitely want to come back early in the day to see more of the selection. I've been reading about this place for a while and finally made it there today. Glad I did just really whatever you say. The sweet Taste as good as it looks. The owner chef was there very nice and pleasant. There's no tasting sorry to say but we did purchase and I was very happy with my butter Loaf and chocolate dessert can't wait to go back and try those cookies well just about anything in the case they are open till 8 PM's during the week and nine PMs on Friday and Saturday they have a few outdoor picnic tables that you can sit there and indulge so after you have dinner, you can stop in and indulge and all I can say it's worth every calorie read more

I have been waiting for months for this pastry shop to open. Owned by Warren, a high restaurant and whiskey bar in the next shopping center. When I walked in, there were 2 women engrossed in conversation, basically ignoring me for several minutes. Very limited selection and way over priced, cakes @ $75 and small individual desserts @ $10. We happened upon this quaint sweet shop while pulling into a local market for baked goods. We ended up here, purchasing multiple items and so far all have been delicious and very beautiful to the eye also. Kids loved the Cookie Monster type cookie which was a sugar cookie base. We also enjoyed the blondie brownies with marshmallow toppings to become a s'more. Peanut butter cookie was good but not best ever. The only missing mark , was a feeling that the employee didn't really find our questions valid. Interesting as we praised each and reconfirmed with multiple purchases. Since each item was not marked, it was hard to note the flavor and focus of each pastry, cookie, cake, brownie and other unique baked goods. Checkout was quick and simple. Good customer service and a cute shop. That's where it ended for me. We got four items and the only thing worth the calories was the key lime jar. Cookie was hard and I tossed after 2 bites; the cupcake was dry and hardly any filling; the black forest presentation was nice but dry and no cherry flavor. None of my family enjoyed it and we each had a bite of everything before chucking it in the bin. Definitely style over substance. read more

I had to be out west (and this is west of Delray Beach) and decided to try this newer shop and it was okay. Of the desserts we ordered only one was good with the others being okay to not worth eating. If this were a consensus review then it would be less stars as my friends did not like the assortment I purchased. However I thought one of the desserts was fine and I'm generous in my ratings. The shop wouldn't warrant a drive far out west but if I were in the area I might give them another try. read more

We just picked up some macaroons and a delicious mousse cake concoction and it was absolutely delicious. The customer service was great and the store inside was cute. The only negative would be that I don't want to tell my son the name of the little bakery because the name is a curse word. We will definitely be back though to pick up some cookies cakes and macaroons. read more

Gratuity should reflect the quality of both service and overall experience; being pressured for a higher tip despite the lack of attention was entirely out of line. To make matters worse, my follow-up call to management was equally disappointing. The response was all talk, no action. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism left a lasting negative impression.

My husband and I stopped at this bakery by chance, we tried The Pear dessert and truly enjoyed it, so much that we had the idea of asking Julian Belon (the chef) to make us that particular dessert as our wedding cake. We obtained his business card and emailed him; it took him weeks to answer (I should've taken that as a sign) When it came to the day before our wedding, we picked up our cake and it was not at all what we expected, first it was given to us without a box to transport it to our event, we had to cut down a cardboard box to place it into our car, while I had to manage to hold it so it didn't fall apart, the cake in the back was all scratched off and the "flowers" he had charge me so much for looked like a dollar store purchase as they were plastic. I was charged $267.00 for one small cake, the top you see, the second tier was for decoration purposes, I messaged Julian and there was no answer as of today, my wedding was on 05.28.2024. At the time of our wedding, we were eager and hopeful that this cake would taste good. Oh boy was that a HUGE disappointment, the cake was horrendous! it had no taste and it fell all apart into crumbs; some people even got sick from it counting my husband.
