Absolutely delicious, I got a quart of apple crisp ice cream and then an ice cream sandwich with strawberry ice cream with sugar cookies and oh my goodness, this is unbelievable custard! And it's really frozen so that you can make it home without it melting. Probably the best ice cream or custard I've ever had and I definitely recommend it. Not too sweet and so creamy and delicious and the cookies were perfect too. They had probably 15+ ice cream sandwich flavors, so many fun ones and they had some gluten-free choices as well. I'm a frequent visitor of Whit's, and whenever I have company in town I make sure to have them try it. My favorite flavor is their red velvet cake when they have it as a daily or weekly flavor! Everyone I have introduced to it has been a big fan as well. Their custard is the perfect consistency and sweetness. I usually prefer a whitser, but every now and then I'll try a new daily flavor! I have a Whit's Frozen Custard near my house but every time I visit I request what Dairy Free they offer and it's always Vanilla but my issues at the Boca location is (1) the tables are always dirty and sticky and (2) the kids working here have no idea what items are vegan or dairy free But at the Delray location I have never had issues. The store is clean; it's much smaller than the Boca store but barstool counter and outside tables are clean. More importantly, the kids are great here; they must train a lot better. Every time I ask about what toppings are vegan or dairy free and they all know to break out this 3-ring binder with checklists including pages that clearly show what toppings I can have. Whit's is a solid custard joint, serving up some super dense and creamy ice cream. I tried the vanilla, chocolate, and sea salt caramel crunch. The flavors are a bit muted on all of them, so they're not super sweet, or super flavorful. But the creaminess is hard to beat. Their sizes are massive, and even the mini has two decent sized scoops. There are only 4 flavors each day, with a new flavor every day and another one every week. They do have a bunch of toppings and other offerings like sundaes and blends. It's a nice little shop at the top of Pineapple Grove. Their line setup makes it a little tight inside when it's really busy, but there are a few tables and chairs outside to enjoy these treats in the fresh air. It's good and I'm really glad I tried it twice, but I'm not itching to go back. Definitely recommend giving it a shot and experiencing it for yourself! read more

Creamy, fresh, and oh so yummy! Whit's ice cream is my favorite. There are multiple locations to choose from that make the same delicious fresh custard! Since all the the custard is made fresh, there are two primary flavors (vanilla and chocolate) and then a daily flavor and weekly flavor. They have a calendar online that you can check ahead of time, but if you're not interested in the daily or weekly flavors they can mix up a flavor for you easy (those are called "Whitster") Might sound complicated but don't worry, every flavor to be mixed up fresh. The people working there are also always nice so feel free to ask questions to make sure you get exactly what you are craving! Prices are super reasonable for what the quality and size too. Once you get your ice cream you can eat it outside, there are three little tables and chairs outside. But I'd enjoy it on the go since the shop is a little small. Make sure to grab a pint to go, cookie ice cream sandwiches, and a doggy ice cream for your furry friend! Goodness writing this review makes me wanna drive over and grab a scoop or two!! read more

The Whit's in Delay Beach is great in terms of both their service and their frozen custards. We had been to the Whit's in Wellington in the past, but they weren't as friendly and didn't seem to offer some of the same creatively delightful flavors. When visiting Whit's, the first thing to do is consult their calendar of daily & weekly flavors, which is available on their website as well as in their store. Those flavors are usually the most interesting and tasty concoctions. Although chocolate and vanilla custards are always available along with several toppings, why pay more for toppings when you can have some fun tastes mixed right into the custard? I opted for the Extreme Reece's frozen custard, which lived up to its name as it consisted of peanut butter flavored custard and contained 3 types of Reece's items: Reece's pieces, chunks of Reece's peanut butter cups, and swirls of Reece's peanut butter. PB nirvana! My husband was very happy with his Mud Pie frozen custard made with coffee ice cream, chocolate swirls and more. The store was empty during our visit in the afternoon (I suspect they do a lot of business in the evening) and the woman working there was very nice. She offered us tastes of the two special custard flavors but we didn't need any samples to know what we wanted. We ordered, we ate and we smiled! read more

I've heard great things about this place and they had a small line to order. They offer a weekly, daily, and chocolate, or vanilla flavor every day. I wish there was more variety but it's made fresh every single day. I had the pop up cookie dough m&m flavor. They rang it in as dairy free but I'm not sure if it actually was dairy free or not. This little dessert restaurant caught our eyes while walking to Delray Marketplace and we couldn't resist but to actually stopped by and tried while on the way back on a relatively quiet Monday evening. The casual feel ambience made us feel comfortable going in to grab our treat and ate on the pub height counter. The friendly cashier was helpful and let us sample Bourbon Praline Pecan flavor frozen custard, which we ended up getting the generous size kiddy cup. We thought the frozen custard was delicious and creamy, I also personally enjoy the crunchy pecan bits. If you haven't had frozen custard before, I could probably compare it to a very creamy gelato. They have limited indoor seating and may be up to a couple tables outside to encourage social distancing. Overall, I recommend this place and will definitely return to either grab another flavor or purchase a one of those pints to go. P.S. We were eating lunch outside at Yama and kept seeing people go by with frozen treats -- we had to find out where they were coming from! It's kind of hidden next to a garage entrance. It's a very small shop. We tried the special of the week (or month, I'm not sure, they have so many). The Almond Joy with chocolate, almonds and coconut was fantastic.
