I wouldn't recommend Dan Chan. Disorganized and has other priorities than a kids birthday. The end result was that no one showed up to our daughter's birthday, which is unfortunate isn't it. You would think after communicating through text and a phone call the date and time of the event that it would have been sufficient but no it wasn't. They give another form to fill out but i apparently entered the date wrong. No follow up text, and no email to confirm the date, so you are left thinking that things are ok. Dan and his son James did a magic show for our daughters bday back in Jan 2020. We were so impressed by Dan and also his young son. Long overdo review. Dan Chan is the real deal. My Wife and I arrived late to her company holiday party and he politely asked if he could share our table and eat with us. Some ice breaker convo ensued. He told us he was a magician the company commissioned for entertainment. But that he's already finished the allotted time he was paid for. We thought we missed out. Our company booked a magician for a Diversity lunch to celebrate the mid-autumn moon festival. In the past, we've had Asian dance teams, management speakers, politicians, college professors, but this was the first time we had a professional magician! Our lunch event had about 150 people, and Dan and his wife Kat were the stars. Even before the event he was entertaining our volunteers with card tricks! Overall, the event was a success and I enjoyed the show. I was picked to go onstage to participate in a trick - somehow I got turned dyslexic since the audience can read a bunch of postcards but I could not. Uh Oh - don't tell my boss! The other funky trick was some Qi Gong act where Dan was poking me in the back and my coworker some 15 feet away was feeling it. Maybe Dan planted some sort of wireless buzzer on her back - who knows but it sure was funny. The other acts were card tricks, a really cool rope-escape with wardrobe transfer trick, and another funny trick where four of my coworkers got pick pocketed by Dan - wallet, car keys, and a watch in broad view of everyone.
