Dream Top Entertainment was amazing for my daughter's 4th birthday party on November 9th! We had Skip, who was absolutely wonderful. Even though the kids were pretty rowdy and full of energy, Skip handled everything with so much patience and creativity. I couldn't even keep them calm myself, but Skip managed to engage and contain the group perfectly. My daughter tends to get anxious when there's a lot of noise and movement, but Skip was so attentive and made sure she had her space and could still enjoy the show. It really meant a lot to me that my daughter felt comfortable enough to laugh, smile, and participate at her own pace. The face painting was beautiful, the show was fun and engaging, and there were plenty of giggles all around. Some of the adults could've done a better job respecting the show, but Skip stayed professional and kept things going smoothly. I truly appreciate that level of patience and skill. I'll definitely book again in the future,maybe something smaller next time with one or two of my daughter's friends so she can interact more. Melody was great! My 2 sons loved her at a party. If I were Melody I would definitely go with a diff company or out on her own. I would have hired her in a min and recommended her to everyone I know. The owner is incredibly diff to work with and is not very truthful, understanding or empathetic. Her website has 3 diff prices for services. Initially it said 249 and then under the services 299. I contacted the owner and she stated it was 299. I said I'm confused bc it stated it was 249 and then 299. She said that's an old price. I thought that's odd so I went to book Melody and the price changed yet again- now it's 339!!! In less than 15 mins the price went from 249- 339!!! The worst part about this experience is that she wasn't willing to honor the price SHE sent in a text and then doubled down by denying service altogether- when the issue was clearly an issue with her site. Rather then making I'm right- or even trying to right the wrong - her solution was to deny us the service- which is going to result in a special needs boy not getting the 1 thing he has asked for in a year or more. He's a very sweet boy that has had a hard life in just about every way. Melody made his worries, hospital visits, being bullied and just his hardships melt away. Quite honestly it was one of the few times I've seen him participate and smile at the mention of her name. Rather than apologize and try to resolve the issue she is going to deny a special needs boy his one ask. I'm so very sad and if she knew my kid at all- she would and should be ashamed that rather than making his bday the best it could be- she is showing that she lacks any empathy or understanding. Melody is an incredibly skillful performer and talented improviser that made our party AWESOME. We booked her for a 4 year old's birthday and could not have made a better choice. She came prepared with everything (even a lighter for the birthday candle when I forgot one), and fully captivated the room full of kids and parents alike. Everyone had a great time with the comedy (which she seamlessly adapted to the surroundings and kids in the audience), puppetry, scarves, balloons and bubbles. So much laughter and so many smiles! Everyone was still talking about the fancy bubbles even an hour after she left, and kept asking me "where did you find her?!" For kids parties, this is a great choice. We invited classmates' families whom we don't know particularly well, so it was nice to have focus and structure to the party instead of endless get-to-know-you conversations with bored kids screaming, or having to lead some kind of entertainment ourselves, or carting around a bunch of toys/games, or relying on an urban public park to have a clean/safe/available playground. Melody took our one room and made it MAGIC. As far as costs go - I spent the same amount I would on any other large party by eliminating meat and alcohol from the budget, so it didn't even feel like an expense at all. And there was no need for party favors because everyone was engaged the whole time without toys, and left with a balloon animal to take home. Dream Top made booking, arrangements, and payment very smooth and easy, and had helpful party advice based on their experience. Drea and Skip are the BEST! We first saw Drea perform at a 3-year-old's birthday party in fall of last year. Our 5-year-old was so captivated he knew he wanted her for his 6th! We asked Drea to come with a second person for a two-hour event, she suggested Skip, who was fantastic! During Drea's 1 hour performance, Skip did face painting for parents. Everyone got creative, it was so fun for parents, and for the kids to see their parents in the party spirit. Drea deftly adapted her show for a child a bit older (than the previous show we attended), included the little ones present, and certainly entertained the parents/grandparents. The kids were fascinated by the magic, the ventriloquism, got their wiggles out, and had a blast. Our son had the very best time, and so did we! After Drea's show, Skip did child face painting and Drea created balloon animals. They did a great job of moving through the kids in a good amount of time so no one got too antsy, and they managed to keep the kids waiting entertained by having fun dots for them to stand on in line.
