Julio, our server, was amazing and made sure our entire experience was nothing short of a 10-star visit. The staff was also very accommodating and willing to customize dishes based on personal preferences, which made the experience even better. I've never had a bruschetta appetizer this delicious -- and that says a lot because I've dined at many great restaurants throughout California. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rosarito!

We were instantly transported to a quaint, picturesque location that embodies everything California cuisine has to offer. The restaurant design is both comfortable and inviting. The food was delightfully fresh, prepared with love and respect for the "farm to table" legacy. We had the most exquisite combination of protein and pasta, then finished with the richest bread pudding; one could taste the wholesomeness of the spices and butter, as the ingredients have not been modified since 11th-century England. Aside from enjoying over two decades of crafted gastronomic experiences, we left with the promise to return promptly, as one visit could not fully explore the incredible menu and genuine hospitality.

I always get the mushrooms with a side of tortillas and just make my own little mushroom burrito. Do it as an appetizer, you won't regret it. My only tip is that if you are in a large group to get separate bills and request it from the beginning. Every time we're in a group, it never comes out right with the split - everyone is charged more.

We went for Mother's Day and it was beyond the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Our server Blanco was fine and did his best, but the food was absolutely terrible. Dry meat, dry and flavorless chicken, thick chewy machaca, and a salmon that was supposed to be grilled came out drowning in grease. Even the dishes looked dirty. We spoke to the manager Oscar, hoping something would be done, but he was completely dismissive. Just the typical apology and nothing else. This place used to mean something to our family and we even had a close relationship with the owners, but ever since the previous manager passed away, this restaurant has turned into a tourist trap. The quality has completely fallen apart while the prices keep going up. Extremely expensive for mediocre food and poor management. There are so many better places to spend your money now. Sadly, El Nido is not what it used to be, and after this experience we will never return or recommend it to friends or visitors again

But after we'd been down there often enough that only eating street food was a novelty, and when some of our favorite local places were closed, we finally gave it a try. My wife and I love food, and eat a lot of it everywhere, so I don't say this lightly--their onion rings are as good as any we've had anywhere. Neither of us can think of a place with better onion rings, which is impressive for a food truck in Mexico. We also LOVE their fried shrimp, and their fried fish is pretty dang good as well. As the burgers go, I love the one with mushrooms on it (don't accidentally order the one that is ONLY a portobello mushroom, unless you don't want meat!), and the bacon burger is also pretty great. My wife loves the fries as well, though I'm not as big of a fan. They also allow dogs (including random street dogs, which is a very Mexico thing, so be aware), which is important to us. They also are co-located with a beer garden that has fire pits, when they are open. Which is also our biggest criticism, which almost led me to grade this place a 4 instead of a 5. They often claim to be open until 8 or even 9 when you ask them earlier in the day, and their official Yelp page says 7, but we have gone there at 645 and very sadly found them closed, so I recommend you go there at lunch when the sign is up, or closer to 6 than 7. And as far as the neighboring beer garden goes... I absolutely never depend on them being open.

Then a nice thick slice of tomatoes and thin slices of red onion. To top it off it I served with thick potatoes fries and a nice mayo spicy sauce on the side.I have not found a better burger even in the states! He also has shrimp Hawaian burgers. It's a food truck surrounded by other types of food/beer trucks. Has lots of tables. Right next to restaurant that has a sign of a little pig. Love this place!
