When Tao first came by for a free estimate, he had great suggestions to make the space look larger and more open. We wanted to try to match the existing hardwood floors we already had as much as possible. Tao immediately knew what kind of floors to use and he even had samples on hand so that I could compare them with our current floors. Tao's estimate was very reasonable and comparable to other companies I reached out to. I went with Tao because of his background as a designer and I trusted he would make sure the floors look great! It ended up being a great decision because we are very happy with our new floors! The installation process was very smooth and even finished earlier than expected. The crew was very respectful of our home and did a great job keeping the house clean after their work was done. Any minor issues I found during installation were immediately remedied by the team without any issue. Overall, I would highly recommend reaching out to Tao for your next flooring project!

Tao stood out for how knowledgeable he was. First, he was clearly knowledgeable. Based on photos alone, he corrected me that the wood was not mahogany (as our home inspector said) but instead Brazilian cherry. I verified that he was correct with the listing agent. No other company did this. Second, he had the lowest quoted price for the job. Third, after I selected him, he was transparent about tradeoffs rather than purely trying to upsell me. For example, he quoted me on installing wood registers everywhere when I asked, but recommended I do so only in the hallways. This advice saved me $1k and delivered a result in very happy with. Finally, Tao was easily the most response person I interacted with. It was a pleasure to work with Tao, and I'm very happy with the outcome.

I finally hear from him that he canceled our job. We are now in a bind to find another company because we need to move in two weeks. Very unprofessional. This shop fabricated the top and threshold to our specifications very quickly. We were able to see the slab beforehand at the warehouse in Avon, which was very convenient to Braintree. In addition, I was able to consult directly with one of the fabricators, Hugo, and pick up the finished materials. Hugo provided outstanding customer service. I'll be going back for materials on future jobs.

My wife and I are busy physicians at local hospitals with an 8-month old baby, so as you can imagine, we needed truly a personalized service. I was a little nervous at first as there's not much information online about the company, but am so happy with the results! ESTIMATE: I first contacted Carl via email, and sent him an architectural rendering of our home, as well as thoughts on the type of carpet we were looking for. Immediately that day, he was able to send back by email an estimate as well as a link to a carpet company's website for us to further learn about the products. We scheduled a home visit later that week (he was extremely accommodating, coming at 8pm after I got home from work) with a set of carpet samples. He precisely measured all of the rooms that needed carpeting as my baby was playing with the carpet samples, and refined the estimated price. My wife was still at work, and so I took an iPhone picture of the samples and told him that I'd get back to him with the color, however was happy with the product. Of course, when my wife came home, the iPhone picture didn't suffice, and wanted to feel and go through the carpet samples herself. SO Carl drove back to our home and dropped off the carpet samples for a couple of days so that we could take our time in making a decision. I was impressed at how there was no sales pressure whatsoever, and was completely understanding. We were finally able to make a decision on the color and product. PRICE: He's definitely not the highest priced company, and my only advice, needless to say, is to do a little homework. After doing a little bit of research, I can tell you that he is totally reasonable. QUALITY OF INSTALLATION: Carl sold us an excellent product, but can also tell you that the quality of the installation is awesome. There were some pitfalls that he warned us about ahead of time (the newer carpet is more plush and prone to crushing, the new carpet is higher, and so will create step-offs at transition points) but there absolutely were no surprises. INSTALLERS: Since my wife and I were both at work, and we basically blindly entrusted our home and valuables to Teo (the installer) and his crew. I can tell you that they were incredibly professional in their work, and incredibly respectful of our stuff. Obviously they can't place things back 100% where they came from, nor did we expect them to, but they were pretty close! On top of that, I asked them to move our television set away from the baby's play area as she's getting more mobile, and without even hesitation, when I came home that evening, I was incredibly impressed even that was done! When they left, they turned off all of the lights, locked the doors, left the key on the kitchen table for us. OVERALL: My wife and I value honesty in a person and company over anything else. We think we're pretty good judges of character, and can say that we were truly impressed by Carl and his company. His responsiveness to email, the respect of our home, quality of the product, and quality of the installation were excellent. He truly went above and beyond, has great character, and we will not hesitate to use him for all of our subsequent flooring needs!! A+
