First time here and it was what you would expect of a Irish pub. We were looking for a quick happy hour spot and landed on here. I enjoyed a margarita while my husband sipped on his Michelob ultra beer. There wasn't a line so we were seated immediately. Steve our server was excellent and was attentive. We didn't get a chance to explore the menu fully but my egg rolls were delicious and my husband's loaded fries were hot. Overall I think we will be back!

The place presents me quite a conundrum. On one hand, I am amazed by how much I like the food. While on the other, I am also shocked by how much I am ok with the ratchetness happening here a lot of the time. It is a full ass train wreck of a bar and I love it! I can't say the food is "great quality fare", but it's really some of the best bar food I have ever had. We have had almost the whole menu minus the entrees and Irish Food. We had a Rueben last time that was fantastic. I guess I'll start on that side of the menu now. It is some really cheap food though. It's way underpriced for the current restaurant climate in my opinion. Servers range from 3-10 but are generally really nice. The last lady we had was great! I'll seek her out again. She explained the whole late night thing to me here. They stay open until 2:00 at least some days. She invited us to stay, said "we are a good time" and I bet she is right. Just not ready for that kind of party that day. The vibe is all over the place, hour to hour. The interior is like a mix of Irish Pub, a dive bar, country bar, hell even a dance club sometimes. They even have live trivia, which is super annoying. They have live entertainment (if you can call some fat dude with his MacBook, live entertainment?!?!) and have a cover charge "after the guard arrives". I assume to help pay DJ Tubby and the Top Flight drop out. We keep coming and finding our frequency between visit getting slimmer. We are digging the food as we cruise around the menu, and we will be back! I'm usually pretty tight when I arrive and somewhat sloppy when I leave. It's a good thing I have a self driving car for the assist? I guess it's that kind of place. Ask Sheryl Crow, she wrote a song about this place, not the one with the Kid Rock weirdo. Please never change D. McG! '25 - 47/111

Thursday Fish & Chips special was excellent. Decor a bit dated, but not awful. I'd go back.

The restaurant has a really neat vibe and is decorated better than most of the restaurants in the memphis area. We came at 5:00 on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately without reservations, but when we left, they did have a small wait to get a table. We started with the pimento cheese toastie which was garlic bread with melty pimento cheese on top. We both really enjoyed it. I decided on the filet with peppercorn sauce. I asked for it it to be butterflied. My steak was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of pink and it sliced like butter. I got the peppercorn sauce on the side and used it for a dipping sauce. I really liked the sauce, but it is really peppery. While I loved it, some might find it a little spicy. My husband had the bourbon glazed porterhouse pork chop. His was cooked perfectly fly as well and was super tender. He really enjoyed it, but mentioned that the sauce did have something in it that gave it a little spice. We shared an order of rosemary duck fat fries as the entrees come à la cart with no sides. The fries re heavy on rosemary which my husband didn't care for. I enjoyed them, but they were definitely not my favorite. Neither of us cared for the mayo sauce that they came with and preferred to eat them with ketchup. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the food has been consistently underwhelming during my recent visits. I first ordered the lamb chops. They were not what I would consider traditional lamb chops and were surprisingly chewy and difficult to enjoy. I returned and decided to try the Irish Curry Chicken. It was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dishes I've had there. The menu described it as chicken thigh, but it was clearly chicken breast. The dish lacked basic seasoning and flavor. There was very little salt, umami, or curry flavor. The rice was wet, overcooked, and mushy. Overall, the entire meal tasted like something taken from a grocery store freezer section and reheated. At this point, I would recommend sticking to the fries and the burgers, which remain the strongest items on the menu.

I'm giving this place one star because zero isn't an option…read more I was in a long rehearsal for a play opening tomorrow. I've had a pretty stressful day and we got out around 8:15. I thought hey...Bar Keough has great food and makes a great old fashioned. Maybe a nightcap will do me good Now...as a backstory I have recently lost weight. So a lot of my clothes are big because I'm slowly trying to replace my wardrobe. This will all make sense in a minute I park and walk up to the door....which we need to just stop and talk about how high that step is. That, mixed with clunky shoes and baggy pants equaled to some stumbling. Also pulling the barstool out it got caught so I stumbled again. Also...I'm extremely clumsy sometimes Of course the bartender was like "I'm not sure I'm comfortable serving you" and I said "Why?" And he said "You stumbled in here, you're obviously drunk" At this point, given my messy appearance and how I walked in, I understood and I told him that and explained what happened. He then proceeds to ask me "How much have you had to drink?" And I said "Nothing, I just told you" and he said "Yeah ok I'm still not comfortable serving you" so I just told him to forget it and left (Stumbling on the way too high step on the way out which didn't help my case) Maybe I wasn't dressed nice enough, maybe he doesn't like clumsy people? I completely understood protecting himself...but to basically accuse me of lying is crazy work Friendly neighborhood bar...yeah ok I will not be returning and I suggest if you do...watch your step and wear fitted clothes.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at TJ Mulligan's on Trinity Road in Cordova…read more Before visiting, I downloaded the restaurant's menu directly from their website. The menu clearly listed the Chicken Quesadillas for $8.95 and the Pizza for $13.95. However, when I placed my order, I was told the Chicken Quesadillas were actually $11.95. When I questioned the price difference, the employee admitted they had not updated the online menu and even said they had "been here for years" without changing it. That is unacceptable. If your website advertises one price but you charge another, customers are being misled. At the very least, the restaurant should update its website or honor the advertised price. Having outdated pricing online for years is not good business practice. To make matters worse, an automatic gratuity was added to my order. I don't believe gratuity should automatically be charged without clearly informing customers or giving them the opportunity to decide what they want to tip, especially when there is little or no table service involved. I also ordered a pizza, and it was another disappointment. It looked like a frozen boxed pizza that could have come from a grocery store rather than something made by a restaurant. It certainly was not worth the price. Because of the inaccurate menu pricing, the automatic gratuity, and the poor quality of the food, I left without purchasing the Chicken Quesadillas and have no plans to return. There are too many restaurants that value their customers and provide accurate pricing and better food. I cannot recommend TJ Mulligan's based on my experience. I hope management updates their website, ensures pricing is accurate, and improves the quality of the food and overall customer experience.
