Rueben with fries and apple cider.

Ver nice place for lunch. Parking on the street and out back is limited however there are several places to visit is you park farther away and have to walk. Plenty of places inside and out to sit. Server was super friendly and attentive. I had the rueben and fries with an apple cider made from multiple varieties of apples for a very nice crisp finish not too sweet or tart. Way better than the bottled ciders you get at the liquor store.

Great Irish pub, with better than expected food (I say that since pubs are sometimes hit or miss). Great server who made recommendations on drinks and food. I had a special martini, but I was especially happy with the correct temperature of the Guinness (castle cold for the full flavor). For dinner we had the burger and chicken sandwich, with the pimento cheese and bacon fries as a starter. It was all tasty, definitely recommend the seasoned fries. Apparently known for their fish and chips, I'm gonna have to try that next time. Super cute spot, look forward to coming back. Maybe for trivia night on Wednesday?

Such a great spot! We went and it was really nice! The service and ambiance were on point! Everything that we ate was delicious! We shared the hand pies and the scotch eggs- both were great. We also shared the fish and chips and it was delicious! They also had trivia night and that was a lot of fun! If you're in Memphis, this is a great place!

A local favorite with great service. Their chicken and chips are still rockin' too. I'm glad to see this dish being served as I remembered it from my very first visit back in 2022. Crispy and tasty! Love their Harp and Guinness pours too, a perfect pair with the food. It's worth a visit.

I can't believe I lived in Memphis for 20+ years and never made it to Celtic Crossing. I heard great things about it over the years but for some reason never paid it a visit. But on a recent visit, I finally did and regret not going sooner -- it was so good. And well worth the wait. I ordered the Celtic Burger and wow-oh-wow it was good. The house-blend beef patty was hefty and cooked perfectly. The American cheese paired well with the juicy beef, and the secret sauce added a tangy note to each bite. The seeded potato bun did a great job of holding everything together. But it was still a messy sandwich as many great burgers are. The steak fries were relatively typical -- crispy and lightly salted. I would upgrade to the seasoned fries next time. The drink selection is expansive, but I do with they had more hard cider options. I loved the ambiance inside -- it was cozy and made me feel as if I had been transported to a pub in Ireland. The service was great as well. I can't wait to come back and explore of the menu.

Here's a clean, strong review that keeps your energy: Hands down one of the best spots in town. The beer selection is top-tier--something for everyone, whether you're into classics or trying something new. The food is next level, especially the fries... easily top 3 I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The atmosphere seals the deal: great music, high energy, and the fact that they're open until 3am is a game changer. Best part? The service is always on point. Staff is friendly, fast, and actually cares about the experience.

One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I've Had After…read moreattending a Pride event and visiting from out of town, my friend and I stopped by Bar Dogs late at night/early in the morning on June 7th, hoping to grab some food before heading back to our hotel. Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I've ever encountered. As soon as we sat down at the bar, the bartender--a Caucasian woman with a short haircut whose name I unfortunately didn't get--greeted us with an attitude that immediately made us feel unwelcome. Instead of providing friendly service, she was dismissive, impatient, and rushed us through placing our to-go order. She informed us that we could not eat at the bar, which was completely fine. We agreed without any issue and ordered our food to go. However, when my food arrived, I simply opened the container to make sure my order was correct before leaving. She immediately rushed back over and aggressively said, "Didn't I tell you that you could not eat at the bar?" I hadn't taken a single bite--I was only checking my order. Rather than politely clarifying the policy, she continued to scold us and make us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. We still hadn't even received my friend's food, yet she seemed more interested in lecturing us than providing basic customer service. Once my friend's food finally arrived, we left as quickly as possible. As visitors in town celebrating Pride, we expected a welcoming atmosphere and basic courtesy. Instead, we experienced hostility, impatience, and a complete lack of professionalism. There's a huge difference between enforcing a policy and treating customers with disrespect, and this bartender clearly doesn't understand that distinction. The food may have been fine, but the service was so unpleasant that I would never return or recommend Bar Dogs to anyone looking for a friendly place to eat or have a drink. Customer service training is desperately needed.

I believe the place was empty when we took a seat at the bar but another party of 2 followed shortly behind and sat a little bit further down the bar. I tried something that sounded better than it tasted but ultimately this is a matter of personal preference and I have a high maintenance palate. The people next to us got wings, which looked good until they were dangerously close to a leak that had sprung from one of the exposed pipes above. They had to move to a table behind us and then some of the staff got a bucket to place on the bar to catch the dripping water but that made a very loud noise so then they put a towel inside of the bucket. I will admit that I have never experienced such a thing before. It looked like the pipe that was dripping had tape wrapped over that area so they had tried a "bandaid" fix in the past but it didn't work. Obviously, this does negatively impact the "ambiance" portion of the overall experience and getting the impression that this is an issue that could have been fully addressed previously but the decision was made not to. It wouldn't stop me from going back but it certainly isn't ideal.

There was music playing the whole time but not loud at all - loud enough you could hear it but it didn't impede upon your conversations in the slightest. And by the way the music they had playing last night (Tuesday Feb 10 2026) was EXCELLENT!! I felt like I was at a bar from my youth with that soundtrack. We started with 2 appetizers, pub pretzels and the Celtic queso dip. The pretzels came with honey mustard and some of the queso. The Celtic queso has tortillas and what appeared to be house made potato chips. Both were very good! The 2 adults had some beer on tap. A Yeungling and a 201 Hoplar. Kid (well he is 21 but doesn't drink) had a coke. Entrees were a smash burger with fries, a Buffalo chicken sliders with onion rings, and a shepherds pie with mashed potatoes and gravy and okra. Everything was very good! Often fried things are either over or under done and come out not great however whoever was working the fryer was on it because the onion didn't pull out of the rings when you bit it and the okra was still nice inside the breading. Excellent waitress who kept checking on us and nice environment. What's not to like!! Definitely will return.

But I was super impressed with the quality of the food! I expected a dive. And it is. But the food was fabulous!! Also, our waitress was excellent. Kudos to her. The inside is fun. Definite dive bar energy. We went all in. Appetizers, drinks, entrees. I regret nothing. We started with the queso appetizer and the pub pretzels. Both were very tasty. My one and only critique is that I wished the queso appetizer included some veggies like celery or carrots or something other than just chips. My son ordered the smash burger. Husband got the shepherds pie. I got the buffalo sliders. I like my buffalo chicken to be saucy. So I requested extra sauce. The kitchen seemed to misunderstand and instead of extra saucy, they put my sauce on the side and none on the chicken. Our waitress offered to send it back. That was not necessary. So she brought me lots of extra sauce. Incredible. The sauce was excellent. The chicken was excellent!!! Superb quality. Honestly, quite possibly the highest quality piece of chicken I've had on a chicken sandwich. Tender, moist, flavorful, and a large piece of meat. Very very impressed. I got the onion rings, at the suggestion of our waitress. They were fantastic. Washed it all down with a Yuengling. Truly, I can't say enough about this place. I was highly impressed. Most of the other customers appeared to be regulars who were seated at the bar. There were only a few groups seated at traditional tables. It was a Tuesday evening so I'm sure it's much busier on a Friday or Saturday. Oh - and just as we were leaving, they were setting up for karaoke. Apparently Tuesdays are karaoke night. Oh! And! The check was $77. That's with three beers, a Coke, two appetizers, three entrees! Not bad. Not bad at all!!

IDK but I will definitely not sit out there again as I didn't even really get to talk to my friend. I liked the nachos I got but the okra was just ok. Could've used some seasoning. The Tiger Bleu Chips my friend ordered were a cool idea. I don't like buffalo sauce nor bleu cheese so I tried some chips and liked them but not the sauces. I loved the chicken on it though. I am not sure if it's the same chicken as the nachos but it didn't taste like it was. Honestly, it would be cool if they had options for the chips like maybe other sauces. Unfortunately, they messed up my husbands burger twice, which is not great. But the burger itself just tasted like nothing, which was worse. Hubby's tater tots were too salty.
