We initially called in another plumber, and he and his boss felt very strongly that a hairline crack in the pan of our master shower was causing the issue. They came back with an estimate of $7,000 to redo the entire master shower (and vanity). What? We called Bommer Plumbing for a second opinion and boy, are we glad we did. Jim arrived right on time and he worked with my husband and me to troubleshoot the leak. He spent close to 90 minutes at our place. Long story short, the culprit of the leak was worn caulk along the top of of the master shower basin, NOT a hairline crack. We all cheered when the source was found! We saved thousands of dollars with this (accurate) diagnosis. And he even pointed out a potential issue with the electric source for our downstairs bathroom fan. Jim was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and hilarious. We were cracking jokes like old buds. He was awesome! And office staff is super friendly. The larger job I'll go into more detail below.....The first job was a messy and large one replacing sewage pipes under our rancher in the middle of July. They were very personable and kept us informed the whole day, which was a good 8-9 hours. They were very polite as well as clean! They left our home looking as if they hadn't been here considering they were in extremely hot and muddy conditions in a small tight space. We still cannot thank you enough for saving us thousands and always having a smile!! So here's where the fun begins!! The first time we met them was in July of 2019, when they were recommended to us from a company who we had working with us because a sewage line had burst under our home. They came out within under an hour to evaluate what was going on, as well as give an estimate and date when it could be repaired by. We had several well known and liked companies come through to give us estimates. EVERY one of the companies before Jay and Noah all insisted we had to dig up our front lawn, as well as rip out the front porch to replace the pipe that bust along with everything else under the house. All quotes were well over $10,000 for the whole job. We had anxiety from the moment the first Plummers had come by up until Rickerts pulled up. Jay and Noah went under the crawlspace and evaluated everything and showed us that the lines under the front porch and lawn were still in good condition. They told us it wasn't necessary to replace them at the time. They of course told us they would eventually need to be done but not in the near future.
