I made an appointment for Mike's Tuesday morning for Thursday at 8 am for a tire balance. This was off a recommendation of a family member. When I pulled up I had a hard time finding anywhere to park because the lot was so crowded, but it was no big deal at first. I went in and told a man about the appointment I had made (2 days in advance mind you) and he told me with an attitude that it would be at least a few hours because they had no room in the garage. I said okay, thinking I really didn't have time because of work but whatever (hence making an appointment). Now I usually am pretty understanding but this is where it got ridiculous. The woman behind me in line (she also parked directly behind my car so I know I was there first) went to the desk and said she needed an oil change and something else done, no appointment. They took her keys no issue and one of the mechanics drove her car around. I was dumbfounded. Now maybe she was dropping the car off, but it didn't seem like it. It all felt incredibly wrong to me that she was taken care of no issue and I was met with a stupid look for questioning why I couldn't get in at my scheduled time. Beyond all of that, it took me about 10 minutes to leave because of cars parked behind me and having to slowly maneuver around a disorganized mess of cars. If you want friendly, organized service that sticks to their word, I would go somewhere else. read more

Took a truck there. Appointments don't mean anything. Just drop off and hope for the best. Who knows, you might get lucky and they will perform the work well. If you have any questions or point out any deficiencies, the attitude there is oh well. Recommend you take your business elsewhere. If you are a woman in need of auto repair work, don't bother even driving past the place, reroute your trip to another auto repair shop. read more

Went to leave for work and had an extremely low tire. It was 6:30 am. These were the only shop in town I could find that opened at 7am. I called and they took me right in and got me on my way to work for only $10 Fast friendly service done right. read more

I had an appointment to have a slow leak repaired in a tire and check under the hood for transmission issues. Despite having an appointment, they had my car for three days and did not completely fix the problem. I called once or twice a day for updates- they never called me- even to tell me my car was ready. When I called for yet another update I was told the car was ready and that they were closing soon. The mechanic told me the noise was due to a part that did NOT need replaced and not to worry about it. The receptionist told me the exact opposite. I really like this place. I wanted a hometown mechanic when I moved to Dayton/Huber, and I found it at Mike's. My first experience was when my car had an oil leak. After googling it, I was prepared for the worst (most expensive) problem. Mike called and explained that my screw was stripped and that it would be a very cheap repair. I'm pretty clueless about cars so they could have told me I needed a new oil pan and I wouldn't have known. But they didn't! They didn't give me a list of things "wrong" with my vehicle or try to convince me on repairs that weren't necessary. And this has been my experience every single time I've dealt with them. Wouldn't take a bicycle here to get it fixed. Called this shop to have my car looked at and diagnosed. Guy said to bring it over and drop it off, so I did . Then the guy calls me on the phone ten minutes after I drop it off and says.. I don't know if I mentioned it but we have a $95 hr diagnostic fee, not sure if I mentioned that, no sir, you didn't. Then later in the day they call me and tell me they figured out what is wrong with the car but said they wouldn't fix it.some excuse about custom parts. So to make a long story short. I got the part they said I needed, had it replaced and guess what. It didn't fix a thing. They totally misdiagnosed my problem and charged me $60 to do so. Now I'm out the diagnostic fee, the money for the part and the money to have it installed. Anyone thinking of going here, don't. Take your car to a REAL mechanic. Not some hole in the wall wannabes like these guys. read more

These folks are amazing. Went there on a recommendation to fix my wifes van about a year ago and was very happy with the service. More than fair price and great work. weve taken our vehicles back for any service weve needed since. Honest too. Took my car in about 2 months ago for a bad oil leak. Turned out to be a cracked oil filter. I could have been told it was any number of things that would have cost me hundreds of unnecessary dollars.
