I've worked with Dana twice now and she's outstanding. TLDR; hire her she is worth every penny. Stop looking for other photographers she's the one to go with. I am a photography snob and extremely picky about it. I hired Dana for boudoir photos before I had a mastectomy and wanted to document what I looked like beforehand as a present to myself. When searching for a boudoir photographer everything looked more or less the same; very posed and unnatural/fake looking. I don't remember how Dana came up in my search but her work was VERY different from everything else I was seeing. Natural, beautiful, and she works with a huge range of body types and looks. When I reached out to schedule I gave her kind of a vague weird aesthetic that she was completely on board for. I could tell when I showed up she'd spent a lot of time preparing and researching and had lots of great ideas for locations. She also spent time with me beforehand workshopping what to wear. She's a pro at putting you totally at ease AND making you feel like you have the kind of look that not only deserves to have boudoir photos taken, but put in a magazine. Not only that but she's downright fun to work with. Both times I've worked with her (once solo and once as a couple for maternity shots) I've been BLOWN AWAY by what we get back. When I had my maternity photos done I felt ridiculous posing with all my stretch marks while I wheezed my way around. Somehow I got back photos of professional models in a Tim Burton movie. Dana is such an incredible photographer - what a talent! She has the ability to see light so perfectly and capture it beautifully. As a fellow photographer, I can be pretty critical of other photograghers, but I knew once I saw her portfolio that I had to work with her. As someone who is very uncomfortable in front of the camera, she made me feel at ease and the photos really are so stunning. They came out better than I had hoped. Dana and I worked together a few years ago at a Seattle photography studio and when she left the studio to pursue her own photography business I knew someday I would want to work with her again professionally or as a client. The day finally came shortly after I was proposed to, I reached out to Dana for a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift for my husband. In our pre-shoot planning session I provided a short list of ideas and inspiration including a request to try to capture some sci-fi inspired shots. On the day of the shoot we had a blast and Dana did a fantastic job capturing a collection of unique and authentic photos and though I only saw a few sneak peaks I knew the photos were everything I had hoped they would be. The experience was so positive that I plan to do another shoot with Dana in the future. After reviewing the photos with Dana and receiving the digital album I just couldn't wait to surprise my husband. So instead I sent him a digital photo or two every day for a month leading up to the wedding and surprised him with the final printed album a few days before our wedding. My husband and I had a boudoir photo shoot with Dana and I would highly recommend her. She is a bubbly young lady and we enjoyed the entire experience. I had done a boudoir shoot before and kinda knew what to expect but my husband had not and was a little nervous. From the moment we met Dana we were at ease and knew we were in good hands. But Dana has a fancy booklet that can take away most anxiety you have because she has all information you ever need in that booklet and it's yours to keep. It lays out what to do to prepare for your shoot. Dana is always available to answer questions or just help you plan. The day of the shoot she is totally in her element and makes you feel at ease.
