    A rude employee

Super rude employee... I said please and thank you and she did not acknowledge me. This is the second time I've had this interaction with this one cashier. I don't know her name, but she has black hair bangs, and always wears a braid with tattoos. She is so completely rude. I was shocked. I don't recommend coming here because of her. The deli counter was absolutely so sweet and helpful!

My friends and I religiously visit the Dana Landing Market anytime we're on the bay to get their sandwiches. We've been coming since we were kids and have the best memories of visiting the pugs that used to roam the store and watch us while we ate. I love the #1 sandwich on rye bread and it's consistently good. They also have a great selection of chips and drinks. The staff is always super friendly and helpful too. A bonus is getting to see the nearby sea-lions!

This is a very nice landing on Mission Bay with public access and private docks. We met friends at the fuel dock for a Sunday afternoon on Mission Bay. There was plenty of free parking. The docks and surrounds are well maintained. The "Deli" is a convenience store for boaters, fishermen, and water enthusiasts with outdoor tables. One negative was the hunt for public restrooms.

Dana Landing Market is always my first stop when vacationing in Mission Beach. I love their selection of bait, tackle, beer, and smokes. Last stopped here on 9/1/17. Got what I needed, and was in and out very quickly. Staff is very friendly!

    The bite was on!

Huge thanks to Captain Matt Barlow and mates Matt and Fitz on the LIMITLESS for the best fishing trip ever. We went on a 2.5 day charter for tuna. These guys are dedicated fisherman. With their help, we LOADED the boat with tuna and had a great time. The food was excellent and they go out of their way to make sure everybody catches fish and has fun. When they yell "fresh one!" you know another monster tuna is on the line and you are in for another arm-burning battle. I definitely recommend this boat.

My friend took me here for sandwiches after we went sailing. He works around here so he knew the place. There's a lot of sandwiches you can pick from or you can build your own. I got the Alexis - squaw bread, turkey, bacon, avocado, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, but no onion or mustard. The sandwich was fresh, huge, and had a lot of meat. You also get a nice view of the water while you're eating.

    Beautiful sunrise aboard the Limitless

To the Karen at Harbor Island West Marina:…read more My husband walked me to the showers at Harbor Island West Marina. After I finished showering, I was drying off my shower shoes at the first sink in the women's restroom. A Caucasian woman suddenly walked in, chose the sink right next to me--despite several others being available--and aggressively threw her keys or badge near my area. I found it odd, but tried to brush it off. I walked outside and told my husband, who had been patiently waiting for me. She followed shortly after and walked toward the dock area. Before we left, my husband went to the restroom, and I waited. As we approached the parking lot, I noticed her walking toward me again. Before she even spoke, I had a feeling I knew exactly what was coming--like something straight out of the "Karen" TikToks and Instagram videos I've seen. She rudely and aggressively asked, "Do you have a slip here?" I was caught off guard--shocked this was actually happening. She asked again, as if I didn't hear her the first time. I turned to my husband, unsure of our slip number, and before we could even explain, she escalated her tone and said, "Well, I thought it was weird that you were taking a shower and he was waiting for you. Then he goes into the bathroom, and now you're leaving. I've never seen you here before." My husband (a retired police officer), was waiting for me because there was only one badge for entry between us, so it was not weird at all. We told her that yes--we do have a slip. My husband has actually been staying here for nearly three weeks. She continued to insist that our presence was "weird," and said, "I watch out for this place." As a Filipino and person of color, I have never experienced racism so directly. The way she treated us--her assumptions, accusations, and tone--made me feel deeply disgusted and unwelcome. If this is how she treats strangers who don't look like her, I can only imagine how she treats others.

Very strange of the City of San Diego Permitting Process not to require this simple but necessary requirement for tenants not getting a break from the slip fees, the extended stay fees (this Marina's current word salad for Live Aboard Fees), other fees fees fees, etc during the renovation.

We added up the cost and it was cheaper than owning a boat. And no contracts! This seemed like a best option. So far we are in month 3 and love it. Did I mention the 4 hour free training I received in classroom and on the water???? I will tell you if you're thinking of buying a boat, do this first for a couple of years and see what boats you like and learn as much from the company about boating. My kids all of the sudden got into fishing and now we get fishing boats. The friends and I want a chill weekend on the bay and we got a cruise, my son wanted a water slide and a water day so we got a pontoon boat. Want to go green get a fully electric Duffy. We see ourselves in the club for minimal 5 years and will see where the kids take us on our free time. Thank you FBC!

The anatomy of failed service at Freedom Boat club…read more To whom it may concern, I have been a member since 4-22 , I have not utilized the service sparingly. Last year , I was not able to use it due to significant travels. This June I commenced again , yet I see problems that are evident in my recent experience in July. The pontoon boat had major rips in the seats. When I entered it I commented that there are too many rips. The attendant told me that is an old boat and they were not going to do anything with it but probably sell it as is. Two days ago we rented a ski boat . I alerted in my reservation that I needed help with three life vests for 2, 5 , 7 years old and help blowing and later on return deflating it . They showed us the pump to use and we spent 30 minutes trying to blow it, then we got some help. We told them that we were going to ski with the adults and later do towable floating with the 5 and 7 year old. We also noticed that this boat had a lot of rips in the seat We were told that this is an old one . After 1 hour we were stopped near camp land area saying that we can't ski or use float till we get an orange flag , which we didn't know. So we went to camp land and bought a flag for $15. After swimming near Catemaran , we decided to just take the young kids on the float without any velocity. We stayed at 5 mph , then when we headed to the area to return the boat, two San Diego police boats came and said that we can't ski use the float and that we needed to bring in the kids on the boat and float. So , I asked what did I do wrong , they said you where going on a one way , but we told them that was a short cut to the Feedom Boat Club and we didn't see any directional signage stating that and there where no boats in our way. The officer said well you guys at Feedom Boat Club don't know the rules and we stopped many of them. We went back and asked help for deflating but were told to do it ourselves. In short we should have been asked if we needed a flag by boat staff and should have been warned about the one way and the staff should have prior to rental sew the open seats. Thanks Sam
