I had a deeply disappointing experience with the front desk, which is unfortunate because the…read moredentists and the front desk manager are outstanding. On multiple occasions, I've spoken with the manager, who resolved my initial concerns so effectively that I even promised to leave a positive review. However, the consistent behavior of the front desk staff has been condescending and, in my opinion, unethical. During my most recent visit, a miscommunication arose regarding a payment. Unbeknownst to me, my insurance had issued a check directly to the dentist after I had already paid out of pocket for the initial visit. I was not informed about this credit on my account and, as a result, paid the full amount for the current appointment I was present for. Upon checkout, I inquired about the previous payment and was finally told there was a credit on my account. At no point did anyone contact me to inform me of this credit or the double payment now made to O2 Dental. This lack of transparency either reflects poor accountability or, worse, an intentional attempt to withhold the funds. When I asked about the initial refund, and the additional refund that would come once insurance approved the second claim--now totaling nearly $600--I was told it would take 3-5 weeks to process because only one person handles refunds. For a business that failed to notify me about even one refund, being told to "check back next month" was the final straw. Mind you, the only reason this occurred is due to their new policy in which, in one part - the patient will be changed X amount for services if insurance does not respond within a timely manner. When discussing what a timely manner was or why it would be the patients responsibility to now pay and follow up with the insurance if they have active insurance could not be answered, and I was not willing to take the responsibility of over 5K worth of work over a treatment plan over an undisclosed timeframe given in which O2 finds acceptable communication terms for the insurance. This experience has been frustrating and unacceptable. If you value clear communication and accountability, I strongly recommend steering clear of this office.
