Beautiful dancing room and the instructors are fantastic. I've had so much fun here and I'm grateful they've come to Fort Worth.

Everyone we have met at this location is great, but one instructor who stands out to us the most is Erin Jane!

Pros: AM has an awesome staff of instructors! They have some of the brightest, funnest, and skilled Dancers I have seen yet. Their professionalism and ability to teach you to dance is absolutely solid! Cons: Price and Exclusivity. Price - AM is around 65% higher than independent studios in the area. They may tell you to weigh the "all you can take" group lessons, but even with that in mind the total cost is high since many studios do charge for groups but the price of group lessons is very low. Also, the additional "shows" are very costly not only to get into, buy into "heats' and the additional lessons to consider. They will push going to shows very hard. Exclusivity - the management of AM will aggressively call you out if you talk about outside dance events not associated with AM. In my case I was posting about dance events around town and got a stern reprimand from the owner that he could not allow me to do this. Needless to say that as a consumer I am now exercising my rights to do business elsewhere. Bottom line - if you want to learn to dance well they can for sure teach you to do so - it will just be very costly. If you want to get into the entire spectrum of dancing at multiple venues around town then it is best to look at other options!

I have mixed feelings about Arthur Murray…read more Pros: The staff is super nice and friendly. My fiance and I came in to start lessons slightly embarrassed by our lack of grace on the dance floor, but they made us feel very comfortable. Our personal instructor was Stephanie and she is AWESOME. Our first introductory lesson was 30 minutes and was free - we loved it so much and ended up booking their basic foundations package (4 private lessons, 45 minutes each). Cons: While they are very nice, this may not be the best place to learn to dance unless you have a nice disposable income. The foundations package was $540, but each lesson was really only 30 minutes long with the last 15 minutes of the class just talking about technique and planning what to do for future lessons. The one thing that we really disliked is how pushy the staff is for you to schedule your next lesson with them... it's almost like they are forcing you to ensure that you come back. Stephanie, fortunately, was the only one who seemed to understand our hectic schedule and allowed us to schedule our lessons at our convenience. All in all, I highly recommend taking dance lessons, and if you are unsure if Arthur Murray is a good fit for you, try out their introductory lesson and see how you like it. We now have a new found love and appreciation for dancing after taking several lessons here

This will be our second year with Dance Connection and we are so glad we found this studio…read more Instructors are wonderful and talented, and the studio is run professionally while remaining warm, welcoming, and fulfilling for the students. Probably most importantly, my daughter's favorite days of the week are dance days and her dancing continues to improve since we've been with Dance Connection.

I cannot say I was in any way impressed. Signed up my daughters for classes and we were so excited…read moreto start. My oldest then broke her arm, so I called and left messages to help coordinate classes better with her broken arm. Always went to voicemail. Left messages. Never got a callback. Regardless, we showed up to first day of class to see a class with at least 10-15 toddlers AND all of their parents running around and dancing in the studio. WITHOUT masks. They all left, my daughters soon after went in. Not a single person said hello, or introduced themselves to me or to them. I took a seat to watch my daughters dance in what very few chairs they had (and I was THE ONLY parent sitting as there was only one other child in the class besides my daughters). I was immediately approached by a man and told I had to leave because parents were not allowed to stay but that I could get a "zoom link." Again, not a single introduction as to whom he was, no inquiry about who I was, no other words other than "you need to leave." I told him I would. I grabbed my kids, and left, asked for my money back, and never looked back. The only person that cared to ask why we were leaving was the dance teacher. If you people are under the impression that 1) you're doing someone a favor and preventing Covid by kicking ONE parent (which is a vaccinated Covid nurse by the way) out and keeping MULTIPLE others IN the ACTUAL studio just prior to my kids being in there WITHOUT masks, you're absolute fools and 2) leaving two young females with some RANDOM dude (owner or not) who did NOT even introduce himself to me and treated me with nothing but RUDENESS and DISRESPECT and amongst people I've never met in my life....you are really something with some type of audacity. Don't even get me started on getting my refund for my hundreds of dollars. It only took like 4 weeks to get my money back, but I did. It's clear they don't need more business. Never again. I literally went that same day to a place we love and are appreciated at as customers, dancers, humans, and most importantly as parents. Didn't have a single issue. Not about masks, costs, seating arrangements, phone calls (every call is answered right off the bat), introductions, teachers, NOTHING.

The studio has wooden floors... that's a big plus ladies. No carpet = no muggy locker room odor…read more Ample parking, good music, the interior is bright and cheery. There are clothes, snacks and socks (you need them), water available to purchase and most importantly TOWELS. The ladies that teach are dancers and they know their stuff. They do come over and correct your postures. They do remember your name. They do the class with you... well mostly. Kristi knows her stuff, and gives the most detailed instructions of all the instructors. Huge focus on form! The workout consists of a warm up, stretching, thigh, seat work, abs, cool down, and more stretching. You will shake, you will work, you will tone up, you will be encouraged. You don't have to be a dancer to attend Smart Barre (hello? Have you seen my dance moves?). I am by no means a dancer (In public!) and never felt intimidated or embarrassed. Except the days I'm so tired I can't remember left from right... yes, it's happened. I have been to several studios in the area. If the word BARRE is in the name, I've been there sweating my A$$ off. Smart Barre has THE most pleasant staff. They show you the moves and actually do them with you, not just walk around the room talking. It's ALL barre all the time, not a studio with a few classes a day. This is a legit workout. There are days I think Sara is trying to kill me. Sally will whip you into shape. Allie and Victoria will have your booty burning. I just can't rave enough. Excellent instruction, upbeat atmosphere, TOWELS!! love love love this studio!

There were people of all ages and fitness levels attending the class, so no one really looked out of place. The class was also structured very well and it was nice to have all of the equipment needed for the class already at each mat (as opposed to having to go grab everything yourself). Overall, good experience and great class.
