On this evening, we had the pleasure of seeing Hotel California; a Toronto, Canada based coverband for the Eagles! What a treat! It was 2 hrs (with 15 min intermission) of pure nostalgia! The theater itself looks like all the other entertainment centers attached to college campuses, and this one is no different, being part of Queens College. It's stately looking but inside is rather dated. I came here to watch a live show with Ira Glass, one of the OG podcasters. The show itself was good, but as a superfan who has seen a lot of his work it was dull to see a lot of his old hit an no new material. No fault of the theater itself, but the seating wasn't ideal. The theater is large, with old auditorium chairs that remind me of my elementary school and a tiny stage upfront without good acoustics. It's fine for local artists but I doubt you'd want to see anything large scale here.

My Wife and I could see after the first year this was not a school we wanted our daughter to learn in. I walked in to Scilla one day and struck up a conversation with Mr. Gary. I explained that I was unhappy at our current dance studio and was looking for a change. Mr. Gary left me with a good feeling that Scilla was where we wanted to be. 8 years and many fond memories later we are still at Scilla.
