The theater itself is located in the West Village and is pretty small. There's only ORCH and BALC seating. Bathrooms were upstairs by the bar area. They were mostly gender neutral for crowd control, but it did get a bit weird when an older man used the urinal while there were women using the stalls.. DATA follows 4 coworkers and the un/ethical use of AI within a surveillance project. The play starred two actors from Netflix series I haven't watched and two Asian American faves of mine - Karan Brar, who's been in Disney's Jessie, and Justin H. Min, who was also in a Netflix series and Wong Fu Production YouTube shorts! I didn't love the transitions between scenes bc the music was BLASTING and the lights were intense, but it tied with the overall minimalism of the show. The storyline is the star. I waited at stage door after the show to meet the actors! Overall, I personally really enjoyed the play! It ended on a cliffhanger, which is up for discussion. I'd recommend for anyone interested in thought-provoking, analytical discussion, as the play highlights a very real possibility of AI in today's world. Super intriguing!

I loved the theater was very small and intimate which means that every seat is a good seat. Here were some of my favorite parts of DATA: - As someone who works in tech, the parts of the story where they were speaking tech jargon was actually very accurate. I had to stop myself and ask am I in a work meeting right now, haha! - I loved the lighting design as there were so many cool moments where the lights really set the scene. - I liked that they didn't try to give the resolution away and just ended the play at a spot where it leads to more discussion by the audience. Here were some things that could've improved: - I felt like they set the scene for a bit too long in the beginning as we were going through the same premise for quite awhile. - In between scenes, the edges were strobbing lights while the theater itself was completely dark. Maybe because my eyes were very dry but it kind of hurt my eyes a bit for that extreme contrast. - The theater was extremely hot. Granted it was 18 degrees outside but I was sweating by the end. Unfortunately that is mainly why it was 3 stars. Overall, I think it was a cool play to watch!

But this show was phenomenal! The Rockettes were so in sync they would put military bands to shame! Loved how they interspersed the dancers with a dance troop/cast and how Santa was EVERYWHERE! Incredible to watch! Loved it all! Radio City Music Hall is a fabulous venue with sound reaching every corner and no bad seat! The entire ceiling was lit up and pulled you into the show. LaGuardia Community College is a spacious educational facility and one has to walk to a specific part of it to gain access to LPAC. There are Security Guards and you have to show Identification upon entry. I have been to LPAC twice to see Soh Daiko both in 2019 and earlier this year. Due to the COVID Pandemic, we were required to show our vaccine cards as well as Identification before being allowed to go upstairs to LPAC. LPAC is a clean, nicely-sized venue with comfortable seating. Papers were posted on specific seating in order for us audience members to practice Social Distancing. LPAC engages in partnership w/ institutions that include Carnegie Hall & Queens Theatre. Soh Daiko is a NY-Based Japanese Drumming Group/ Collective. We saw Soh Daiko at LPAC as part of the Carnegie Hall Citywide Concert Series. Soh Daiko gives fantastic performances and they were electrifying on the LPAC Stage. Soh Daiko's Show includes drumming, playing flutes, etc. w/ great choreography that included some acrobatics, the waving of Soh Daiko Flags, etc. Soh Daiko is energetic and vibrant and the audience gives them standing ovations at the end of the performances. Soh Daiko is also such a lovely collective that does meet & greets w/ the audience after the show to take pictures, talk,, sell their Soh Daiko Merch, etc. LPAC has bathrooms within walking distance from the venue area. The bathroom areas are clean, neat and organized. The theater complex actually has more than one theater in it, but the staff were very friendly and directed us to the correct theater for our performance. Designed by Frank Gehry Architects, the theater space (including the public lobby (which has a cafe/bar and a little shop) is really cool. We grabbed a couple of drinks (created for the performance) on the way into our theater, which were great (no pre-mixed drinks here). Being an off-Broadway theater, the theater space was small and intimate but very comfortable (not a bad seat in the house, since the incline is significant). Then - the production? - great, too. Great stage design (they really made the most out of a small space), great play, great acting, lots of laughs. Overall, it was a great visit, and I'm looking forward to a return visit in the future.

Well kept and super clean as are the restrooms. Acousticly friendly and nicer than many other college theaters in the area. They have various musical and stage acts that take place all year round. Clearly, another hidden gem on Long Island and only 20 minutes from my house. Nicely nestled on the Malloy Campus there was plenty of parking and it was a quick walk to the theater. I don't think I realized the scope of this theater from either walking in or being in the lobby. What a BEAUTIFUL venue. Being in the center isle, 2nd row was also a treat. The seating is really comfortable. I have been a Benanti fan for years and the idea of seeing her live again was truly a treat. She was accompanied by the South Shore Symphony Orchestra and The Malloy College CAP-21 chorus for some numbers. The sound in the theatre was wonderful. The lighting was great. The show was amazing... Not only is Laura an AMAZING singer but she has an extraordinary persona and tells many stories of her journey. The theatre personnel are friendly and helpful. My wife and I just loved this venue and are looking forward to the next show!

Acceptable sound throughout, lighting, and the stage is simplistic in design but just right for smaller limited run performances that are run here. I have seen a few shows at this location which houses multiple theaters/performances and the staff has always been pleasant and professional. It's a really nice spot to catch an off-Broadway show. Also, again, I love cold AC and when the warmer weather hits like it has been lately this is a joy. They crank it up.

Pretty funny though considering the somewhat blasphemous material of Canterbury Tales (the show we saw). Despite the high school gym feel (odd colored tiling and florescent lighting) in the "lobby", I thought this was a nice, intimate theater. I feel like every seat is a good seat. The acoustics were pretty great and very few members of the cast had to be mic'd. The lighting seemed somewhat limited, but that's more of a concern for people putting on a show there than the audience. And I don't know if the stage crew are students, but they did an awesome job. I didn't see them trolling up and down the sides like I usually do in professional settings. There are plenty of bathrooms for the ladies and note to the men.. the gift shop is not the bathroom. Portable munchies can be purchased in the vending machine off to the side.. otherwise sneaking in fruit and rice krispies treats is how I roll. From the schedule, it looks like this space doubles as a movie theater and also holds dance shows. Definitely a great space.. but the tickets are probably a couple more dollars than I'd hope to pay.
