What won me to become her student was how she paid attention to detail. Other teachers I have visited often left me wondering if I was doing anything correctly. I didn't know, but Julie will take the time to make sure I understand what I am or am not doing correctly. Plus she teaches about which country the dances come from and the culture behind them, something I haven't seen other teachers do! This class is not as structured and not as traditional, but it is a good shift. It's not so far from the traditional 26 and two that you get lost, but it does have some sections where you can do alternative poses or add vinyasas if you prefer. I really really liked the teacher who was also the owner. She has a really good energy and was really helpful and kind to me when I got there and talked me through how the class would go since it was not what I'm used to. I look forward to being able to go again while I'm in town for work. I would also like to try some other classes at the studio because it's really nice and opened an airy and I think it's got a really great vibe.

The instructors are super sweet and friendly. There is a diverse offering of classes that will make yogis and yoginis of all skill levels feel at home. The teachers are great at offering modifications and classes are intended to be individualized and for oneself rather than an athletic competition (though you're bound to feel the burn!) I especially love Yin yoga, which is half meditation, half holding long deep poses. It takes a lot of determination and focus, and works wonders on my anxiety. I also love regular flows and hot classes. One great thing about this studio is that you can book online via a seamless foolproof system.

They provide a variety of classes, meals, referrals for senior needs and there is even a senior residence located on the property. We have used them for a bunch of classes especially since covid when they pivoted to online classes via Zoom. The cost is minimal and the classes are always worthwhile. The building is the original Leon County Armory built in 1934-35 with assistance from a grant from the Federal Public Works Administration. It served as a community facility as well as the home of the local unit of the National Guard. I made my one and only attempt at roller skating here. Bumps and bruises all over convinced me that roller skating was not in the cards for me. The Tallahassee Tumbling Tots, a gymnastics program of the City of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation Department, started here.

However, the instructors were patient in helping to make sure everyone was able to keep up and stay on point - or do what is more comfortable for the individual. I probably need to engage strictly in "very beginner" classes, lol! Unfortunately, the beginner friendly classes seemed to only be offered during the weekday morning hours and I work full time. In any case, for those who are interested in Pilates, I would certainly recommend this place. Note, individuals are responsible for sanitizing the equipment after the class is over. Hopefully, everyone sanitizes correctly for the next person.

I just have a pistol, so the only bays I've been to are 1-5. They are right in front of the office where you sign in and out. You can walk from the parking lot to the bay or you can drive there. The shooting bays are more or less private and surrounded on all sides by berms. If the measuring app on my phone is to be believed, bays 1-5 offer up to 50 ft distance depending on where you stand. There is a camera watching each bay, so make sure you follow range rules. As for the rest of the facilities, I was never offered a tour or orientation, so i couldn't say. If you are thinking of coming here, there is a waiver and safety quiz you have to fill out. You can do it in their office, but it's easier imho to do it on their website before you arrive. You can rent their equipment or bring your own.
