I arrived a little late, about 15 min, and was expecting to get a word or two from the instructor about what we were doing. Nothing - just yelling a 4/4 count at the class of 8 people for some kind of waltz partner dancing. I didn't expect to do any partner work, so that was a bit off putting. Again, no one informed me that the class would include partner work. Not receiving a welcome or directions but just told to get a partner and then being yelled and counted at - again not knowing what we were doing - was very off putting. The instructor would demonstrate with another employee what looked like advanced waltz movements and expected us to get it immediately. The guys present weren't used to leading in dance so it felt like a jumbled mess. All the while the instructor was rudely yelling for us not to look at our feet or yelling her 4/4 count. She then puts the music on the last 10 min of class and plays two 6/8 songs - a totally different count from the 4/4 count she'd been yelling at us the whole time. I could tell the instructor didn't want to be there. She was rude and impatient. Also, in the same room right next to our group of 8 there is a one-on-one private lesson going on which was very distracting. For $30 a person, the lack of clarity, kindness, teaching decorum, and doing a completely different genre of dance was highly disappointing. I'd be justified in asking for a refund. It was not a good experience at all.

I have nothing to compare this to because this was my 1st group dance lessons since about 40 years…read moreago in high school. But 14 of us did a 45 minute group lesson, and it was a lot of fun. We learned a four step dance with a spin and dip, and Emma was a good instructor. I'd gladly do it again. Convenient location and top notch facility.

This place is absolutely wonderful!!…read more From the day we walked in it felt like we became a part of the "dance family!" So many of these places now just heard the kids through like cattle. NOT this place! After the first class I think everyone that worked there already knew my daughters name. We started with my almost four year old. She LOVED it from day one! The teachers are absolutely incredible! After my two year old watched our oldest enough times, she started wanting to take dance class. She in VERY introverted so we thought there was no way she would do it. They held an open house one Saturday, and we took our two year old. Literally one of the instructors scooped up our two year olds hand with a huge smile on her face, and started teaching her. She LOVED IT. We signed her up but we still weren't sure if she would like it. Well she didn't like it, she LOVED it! So now our almost four year old and two year old both go here. Everyday they wake up asking if they get to go to dance class today! I've even had text conversation with the OWNER helping me sign up or answer questions. That's unheard of these days. There are MANY studios in the Keller/Southlake area, but I can promise you, this is the best one!!!

I felt uncomfortable and out of place with how she was looking at me. I told her I was here for my two-year-old trial and she said she doesn't have my name written down and I just now wanting to do it? I told her no that I've been texting with someone, Erin, and set it up with her. She got my name and pointed me to the door and that was it. Very rude and unpleasant, made me very uncomfortable. Then they have a tiny little window you can look through to watch your child, but all the moms are surrounding it. Only one mom was nice to me and knew that I was trying to see if my little girl was even interested so I could peek through the window every now and then. Just then another lady came and stood right in front of me and I couldn't see anything just very inconsiderate. Not sure why this place has a five star review!

The folks at Arthur Murray Fort Worth were so friendly and welcoming that I had to try out their lessons. I was hooked by the time the first lesson was over. Active duty couldn't keep me away either. I'd drive down from Oklahoma as often as I could and get 2-3 lessons back to back on a Saturday. In 2013 I was finally able to train specifically for a Pro/Am competition. That process honed my performance in ways I never knew were possible. Competition isn't everything; my favorite part is still spending an afternoon dancing because it's fun. The people at the Fort Worth school, staff and students alike, are just the friendliest group you could meet. Everyone there shares a passion and are so supportive of the learning process. Every instructor brings a different eye to teaching which polishes your technique and motivates you to succeed. It's nothing like a Ty Kwon Do class where everyone is just rushing for the black belt. The staff at Arthur Murray Fort Worth takes special pride in making sure students learn skills needed to advance. They have made learning to dance one of the best and most enjoyable decisions of my entire life.

Pros: AM has an awesome staff of instructors! They have some of the brightest, funnest, and skilled Dancers I have seen yet. Their professionalism and ability to teach you to dance is absolutely solid! Cons: Price and Exclusivity. Price - AM is around 65% higher than independent studios in the area. They may tell you to weigh the "all you can take" group lessons, but even with that in mind the total cost is high since many studios do charge for groups but the price of group lessons is very low. Also, the additional "shows" are very costly not only to get into, buy into "heats' and the additional lessons to consider. They will push going to shows very hard. Exclusivity - the management of AM will aggressively call you out if you talk about outside dance events not associated with AM. In my case I was posting about dance events around town and got a stern reprimand from the owner that he could not allow me to do this. Needless to say that as a consumer I am now exercising my rights to do business elsewhere. Bottom line - if you want to learn to dance well they can for sure teach you to do so - it will just be very costly. If you want to get into the entire spectrum of dancing at multiple venues around town then it is best to look at other options!

Ms. Marina (and all the teachers) are incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. My daughter loves her classes so much that she's now enrolled every day & looks forward to every class. The friendships she has built here are such a gift too. I especially love that the students get to be a part of full-length ballet productions (instead of just a 3-minute recital song), and that they get plenty of invaluable stage experience. What makes this school truly unique is their commitment to the Vaganova method (one of the most rigorous & elite). It results in stunning dancers who are an absolute joy to watch on stage. We are so grateful to have found this school, and to Ms. Marina for her care and dedication to all of her students. Highly recommend!!

After 4 years of Ms. Marina's training, my girls have grown passionate about ballet and dedicated to continuing to improve.
